  1. That goes right out the window once air combat occurs, then, assuming they survive you have no idea what it is. I note that every time this topic is brought up, there's never any answer from anyone at ED, so I have to assume they don't want to answer... which is an answer.
  2. Can we please have the ability to call our wingmen and get them to tell you their current fuel level. This has been an issue since the dawn of time in DCS, is this ever going to happen?
  3. That's not really true, both ED and third parties have control over it, for example the AIM-54 on the F-14, a lot of that weapons performance is determined by Heatblur, there's plenty of threads on the forums about them tweaking it.
  4. Perhaps, but maybe not, the Durandal is only on the F-15E, so it may be theirs.
  5. The AGM-130 is. Not sure about anything else, but the E could carry AGM-65's and AGM-88's, though not commonly, so maybe maybe not.
  6. I've been playing with this, and it is "killing" structural/map items hundreds of feet to either side of the runway. Due to how it works, it is meant to bury itself into the runway, about 15ft down, and then blow the runway up. On testing it on the Nevada map on the runway at Beatty, I am seeing smoke and fire along the edges of the runway about 3-400ft away either side, especially at the northern end with the buildings. This doesn't seem right, as most of the explosive power should be contained in the runway, and not be damaging things hundreds of feet away.
  7. After playing a mission through the mission editor, and reloading it to make some changes, it will hang on "wait for pooled tasks -1" on the mission loading screen. I have to restart DCS, and then reload the mission. I get no crash message or dump file or anything, I'm having to kill the process, then restart.

I don't want to shut him up completely, but just a bit, he talks way too much, which leads to a lag between what's actually happening and what he's saying is happening, it really doesn't help when in the middle of a dogfight he says stupid stuff like "oh look candy", or "pew pew pew", it's a bit of useless encouragement that adds nothing to the tactical situation, and that I do find really hard to believe would have been allowed to be done IRL, it would be really unproffesional and would likely lead to bad outcomes. Those useless sound files will only lead to more lag as they have to complete too.

Frankly in a dogfight he is useless, because his audio is canned files, he seems to have to play them in order, which puts him way behind where everything is at, he's even called out bandits as if they're at 6 o'clock, after I've had them in the gunsight and have shot them, then made several other calls, and then finally caught up. If anything he is a distraction and the opposite of useful, his audio is frankly wrong. So would it be possible to make him only say something maybe 1/4 as often as he does, so that the audio can complete quicker, or even stop the audio with a short burst of radio static and skip ahead if he gets too far behind.
  10. Then perhaps it's best to not use that tag, as it is misleading, but sure, I'll add it to the wish list.
  11. The "correct as is" tag is wrong, it isn't correct, it's just not working, the MPRS is still capable of using the boom, it hasn't been disabled by the addition of the drogue pods....   12. MPRS has both types, boom and drogues on pods on the wings.

We've been asking for this to be addressed for years, can we please have some way of asking AI wingmen what their fuel state is, or at least make them call bingo fuel when they still have enough to RTB and a bit of a margin, at the moment its "bingo fuel" then "ejecting", because if they're not going to call bingo when they should, at least let us keep an eye on their fuel state.

  15. The project was cancelled, so why is this being brought to DCS?
  16. That is exacly the map I was thinking of, sure you get some species that sometimes grow to huge preportions, but as you say not the entire population. The same thing kind of goes for the pylons, sure you get some special designs for special purposes, but most of them are about half the height shown on the Caucasus map.

It may just be my perception of it, when you look at things like trees and power lines, they seem to be about 200% scale compared to other things, for example if you compare them to the cars on nearby roads, they should be about half the height they are. This probably effects other things too.
  18. I've been setting up some F-14 vs F-5 (Mig-28) stuff, and I've noticed they seem to hit the ground a lot, and they jink for ever, and never seem to blackout or get tired.
  19. Well that's the thing, he's spotting them, he has them in the crosshairs, which means he has LOS, and I have tried both LOAL and LOBL, and he seems insistent on not engaging, so I'm having to get right into the engagement zones of things like the SA-19 and SA-15.
  20. According to most sources this missile should have a range of up to about 8km or 5 miles, yet George will tell you you're out of range and to get him closer until you're about 2-3 miles away. ?

Could we have the ability to have the follow unit command also allow the following of neutrals and enemies, so that we can more easily set up intercept and escort/observation missions for AI, eg an Iranian MiG intercepting and escorting a US aircraft over the persian gulf without it attempting to shoot it down.
  22. It's there in the map, but it's not available as somewhere to use, you can land there, but can't set off from there?
