  1. I don't want to shut him up completely, but just a bit, he talks way too much, which leads to a lag between what's actually happening and what he's saying is happening, it really doesn't help when in the middle of a dogfight he says stupid stuff like "oh look candy", or "pew pew pew", it's a bit of useless encouragement that adds nothing to the tactical situation, and that I do find really hard to believe would have been allowed to be done IRL, it would be really unproffesional and would likely lead to bad outcomes. Those useless sound files will only lead to more lag as they have to complete too.
  2. Frankly in a dogfight he is useless, because his audio is canned files, he seems to have to play them in order, which puts him way behind where everything is at, he's even called out bandits as if they're at 6 o'clock, after I've had them in the gunsight and have shot them, then made several other calls, and then finally caught up. If anything he is a distraction and the opposite of useful, his audio is frankly wrong. So would it be possible to make him only say something maybe 1/4 as often as he does, so that the audio can complete quicker, or even stop the audio with a short burst of radio static and skip ahead if he gets too far behind.
  3. Then perhaps it's best to not use that tag, as it is misleading, but sure, I'll add it to the wish list.
  4. The "correct as is" tag is wrong, it isn't correct, it's just not working, the MPRS is still capable of using the boom, it hasn't been disabled by the addition of the drogue pods.... "Only a small percentage of the KC-135 fleet is outfitted with the capability of refueling both probe-and-drogue and boom-accessible aircraft on the same mission, according to Air Force fact sheets." and... ""If we were boom or drogue only, we wouldn't be able to cater to two different types of customers on the same mission," Captain Dolan said. "With MPRS, we can cater to more aircraft and keep the mission flowing."" https://www.afcent.af.mil/News/Features/Display/Article/223584/multi-point-refueling-extends-tanker-capabilities/
  5. MPRS has both types, boom and drogues on pods on the wings.
  6. Refueling in the F-16, what that says ^^
  7. We've been asking for this to be addressed for years, can we please have some way of asking AI wingmen what their fuel state is, or at least make them call bingo fuel when they still have enough to RTB and a bit of a margin, at the moment its "bingo fuel" then "ejecting", because if they're not going to call bingo when they should, at least let us keep an eye on their fuel state.
  8. Ok, so DCS needs to change its name to DCG then, and allow anything.
  9. The project was cancelled, so why is this being brought to DCS?
  10. That is exacly the map I was thinking of, sure you get some species that sometimes grow to huge preportions, but as you say not the entire population. The same thing kind of goes for the pylons, sure you get some special designs for special purposes, but most of them are about half the height shown on the Caucasus map.
  11. It may just be my perception of it, when you look at things like trees and power lines, they seem to be about 200% scale compared to other things, for example if you compare them to the cars on nearby roads, they should be about half the height they are. This probably effects other things too.
  12. I've been setting up some F-14 vs F-5 (Mig-28) stuff, and I've noticed they seem to hit the ground a lot, and they jink for ever, and never seem to blackout or get tired.
  13. Well that's the thing, he's spotting them, he has them in the crosshairs, which means he has LOS, and I have tried both LOAL and LOBL, and he seems insistent on not engaging, so I'm having to get right into the engagement zones of things like the SA-19 and SA-15.
  14. According to most sources this missile should have a range of up to about 8km or 5 miles, yet George will tell you you're out of range and to get him closer until you're about 2-3 miles away. ?
  15. Could we have the ability to have the follow unit command also allow the following of neutrals and enemies, so that we can more easily set up intercept and escort/observation missions for AI, eg an Iranian MiG intercepting and escorting a US aircraft over the persian gulf without it attempting to shoot it down.
  16. It's there in the map, but it's not available as somewhere to use, you can land there, but can't set off from there?
  17. There are other problems with this missile, the SLAM-ER is fine, works well, but the normal SLAM has problems in the terminal phase, where it will often not change course after the camera goes live and you move the cursor.
  18. Ok, this is a bug, it is dependent on wind. With wind it causes it, without wind it doesnt.
  19. I'm having problems with the SLAM, after launch it begins slowly turning always to the right, I let it time out, I'm putting in the correct coordinates, in the zone, and launching the missile, it heads towards the target then about 10 or so seconds after launch it begins a turn at about a 1 degree every few seconds rate. Am I missing something or is this a bug?
  20. Yep, and it's effecting missiles well outside of any reasonable range that they'd go active, a good way to see this is to set up fleets at the extremes of the Harpoons range, and watch them on the F-10 map and that will get dozens of them in the air in a stream of them, you will see quite a few go after the spot where the ship has gone down for several minutes after it did.
  21. They're being made too vulnerable to being taken out by a single SAM.

  22. Harpoons seem to be intent on only going after the first target they lock on to, and keep going after it even if it has already been sunk by others, and ignores other ships in a fleet, often much larger ships.
  23. They are incredibly unreliable, the problem is that there's about a 3-4 second delay in what triggers what he says to him saying it, and if he says something else aswell that compounds it, the problem is that it's playing a full sound file and it has to complete before it goes onto the next one. The worst bit is him calling out positions in a dogfight, by the time he says it, the bandit can be in the complete opposite position, eg gone from 3 to 9, but he still then says 3, he's worse than no SA, he's misleading SA. Then on top of that he doesn't prioritise targets in things like BVR, eg you have multiple targets on screen, and you know they're all threats, but he has the furthest one away as the last locked, so you get range info on that, but not on the one closer, to you, not really a problem if they're fairly close, but not exactly helpful if they're spread out and you want to time a launch. Frankly Jester needs a lot of work.
