  1. Had this a few times with AI pilots, not members of my flight, who are told to fly at for example 300-350 knots, but slow down to basically little more than stall speed, and stay there.
  2. That's not entirely true if the first weapons fired are stand off weapons like the RB-15 is, it would be quite reasonable to fire those off, then approach and use shorter ranged weapons on soft targets. It doesn't really matter though since if as you said it simply can't do it, or should I say couldn't do it, then fair enough.
  3. After I used the RB-15's on a pair of ships, I had a pair of RB-75's which I planned to use on the last one in the convoy, however the tv screen refused to come on no matter what I did, I can use the RB-75 on its own, I know how it works, but it seems after using the 15's it doesn't want to play. Anyone else run into this?
  4. B-2, KC-10, F-117, U-2, E-8, F-111, EF-111, C-5 etc etc. LCAC's, the Wasp class, the Tarawa, USN CBG support ships, RN ships. With the F/A-18 coming up, and the Harrier in development USMC CAS is going to be fun, but only if there is actually USMC stuff there.
  5. I'm getting random AI piloted planes flying on the stall, but at full afterburner, and not gaining any speed, just generally slowing to stall speed. I've noticed it on multiple aircraft in the same sim instance, I built a mission with a pair of B-1's, a pair of Strike Eagles, and a pair of MiG-29S's and some other aircraft, all of those above decided to fly at the stall speed, they are all individual aircraft, not parts of flights, and they randomly do it, I set them up individually because they all split off and hit different targets in one sweep, the MiGs are done for spacing, since the AI doesn't keep the spacing you set in the ME.
  6. Would it be possible to have a small 3D view of the map in the mission editor to aid with placement of ground units etc, the "Satellite" view is ok, but it doesn't show all the detail, and sometimes that can be an issue if you're wanting to place units with accuracy around map objects, it requires a back and forth between the mission editor and the 3D environment, which can get tedious with complex missions with lots of units.
  7. In my keybindings it has a red bar though it, I have rebound the key as it was already assigned by default to conflict with something else, IIRC something to do with the wheel brakes, I redefined it, and it was working until today, now it has a red bar through it, and it does not function in game.
  8. ..... and by 2003 the F-15 had the AIM-120 for about 12 years, the AIM-120A entering service just after GW1, with rumours that it was carried by some coalition aircraft (not F-15's) in hopes of testing it in combat, that eventually happened in 1992 with an F-16D shooting down a MiG-25 that breached a no fly zone. So it is hardly unrealistic given that 12 year window for an F-15C with AIM-120's (deliveries of the 120C began in 1996) to go against an Su-27S armed with only R-27's and R-73's. If people say they want the R-77 for the Su-27, then next it will be other people complaining they want the AESA F-15's, and around and around we go.....
  9. I think I've found another bug, in single player I just did some air to air refueling, and I had a disconnect, and after that the boom operator refused to try to reconnect or move the boom at all, I had to abort, then go through the radio menus again to get him to respond. I'll post the track. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=160889&stc=1&d=1492445021 Refueling 2.trk
  10. I'm wondering could lag cause issues with this?
  11. Yes, followed the same procedure I do in single player, the same thing happened to my friend aswell.
  12. Yeah I fly another sim which will remain nameless, but it focuses on the F-16.... and that is so much more realistic and the boom operator AI is actually helpful, and because of that it is "easier" to refuel. The lack of realism in DCS with regard to refueling is what makes it more difficult than it should be.
  13. The problem isn't the actual refueling, it is the dumb ass boom operator, and the KC-135 pilot who likes to weave all over the place after making turns.
  14. I asked to refuel he gave me clearance to join, but just refused to hook up, so after that I aborted, and then my friend tried to refuel again, and it refused to refuel him. We did it several times, and that first refuel seemed to have screwed something up.
  15. I was playing multiplayer earlier, and after my friend refueled, no matter what we did the boom operator would not refuel me. No problem in single player.
  16. What the title says. When is he going to get fixed? Oh and so is the pilot, why do they need to weave across the sky after every turn, make a turn to the next waypoint, and fly in a straight line......
  17. The radar is available, but not the TEWS. The radar is treat like the left MFCD. So the following will show it..... LEFT_MFCD = { x = 2250; y = 0; width = 300; height = 300; } Change the values as you desire for position and size.
  18. I'm fairly certain that the translation from Russian would actually be closer to "Inferno", "flaming cliffs" was a direct translation, and no one ever thought it would be a good idea to come up with a better name. Lock on:Inferno, sounds a lot better to me.
  19. I can't open that tacview file, it drops a warning message.
  20. Like I said, I turned the jammer off well before I entered that turn, yet it still tracked me, it missed, but it still initiated a turn towards me, just not tight enough.
