  1. Should have said this is on 1.5
  2. After making any changes to the keyboard controls, perhaps other control inputs too, if I exit the control options screen I get a crash to a black screen, and have to ctrl alt del and shut DCS down.
  3. Anyone who's ever been on a runway for more than five minutes knows that they are rarely flat for the entire length. Eg this....
  4. The gain doesn't have to be infinite, only much higher than the control system can respond to, and it will oscillate.
  5. If it's a closed loop feedback system he is right, it will just want to go to one extreme or the other really quick, as any errors (difference between the commanded position and the actual position and the desired position) will build up exponentially, but since the control surfaces can only move at a certain speed and no more, they will oscillate over a short range of movement.
  6. I changed the unit to the Hummer with a TOW launcher, and put it much closer and set it to invisible and invincible. I think that it was mainly the range that made the difference.
  7. Sorted it now :D
  8. I'm not having much luck with this, well one bit of luck, I hit a BTR-80 with one but I know it was not guided, it was a pure fluke. I'm contacting my ground asset/s, and it is giving me info to a target, but it never seems to lase the target, it should have clear LOS, and it clears me in hot, and I am approaching from the friendly to the enemy so the laser spot would be visible to my bomb, but it never seems to guide.
  9. Do you have to set up laser codes in the cockpit?
  10. Is there a how to guide or youtube vid that anyone knows of that explains how to use laser guided bombs with the F-5, I've had a look but not found much other than vids of people doing it but not explaining how to do it.
  11. Maybe instead of tracking inputs, track effects, the position, speed, orientation, and when you fire/release a weapon, and track that for all weapons and AI, force kills, so if a missile hit a target, force the hit to account for any errors.
  12. The brightness of the lights is incredibly low, it's like they have all gone over to energy saving bulbs.
  13. Definitely needs sorting, did some tests with fog on the Georgia map, and even with a fair bit of fog you should still see some glow further out than we are.
  14. Simple, to learn to deal with it if you have no other option.
  15. Exact same thing minus the strafing passes, cold start, taxi, take off, turn around and RTB, no two replays are the same.
  16. I have tacview, but it's not as pretty....
  17. Just did a practice take off and landing in the spit, picture perfect landing, saved track, and on replay the spit crashes about 20 seconds after take off.
  18. Pierre Sprey is a joke, he never designed any plane, he sat in an office and wrote specifications. That is not the same thing as designing, and he has been proven wrong repeatedly. The F-35 is another case of this, once you read up on it, and filter out the BS, you will soon realise that it is going to be a game changer.
  19. Is ED ever going to fix the track recording system? It has been years now where this has not been working.
  20. If they're not supporting you in a 4 vs 1 (the bad way) they're calling bingo and then still using full afterburner when heading back to base because they want to rush to keep up. If he's low on fuel or even close to bingo I'd rather he go full mil and try to rejoin, rather than go full AB for several minutes, and then have to eject because he ran out of fuel. It is just seriously dumb.
  21. Well DCS has issues, so we allow for that.....
  22. .... and yes, I am in a dive....
  23. Oh and try to not refuel in a turn unless you can't avoid it.
