Just practice with the F18 and F14! no need for a trainer...

My limited experience so far was my HARM smashing pretty nicely into a radar array and did no damage, I was a little confused thought maybe they had the invincible tag on for the mission but my friend flying the SU-25T managed to lay waste to them easily with their anti-radar missiles, I pretty much gave up at that point, also found them to be fairly inaccurate anyway, rather underwhelming.

The sky is quite an important part of flying, need better clouds and weather!

Is your flight linked to the Tarawa?

I don't run any "mods" and the displays are unreadable, turning gamma down to 1.1 or so makes it slightly better but not by much while turning the cockpits nearly black.

I hope ED fix this up pretty quickly, Until then time to set my missions to mid day.

I noticed this too, I can barely see anything on the displays in the F18 if there's sun behind the plane. ah well.

Not sure If i am going crazy here but since the latest DCS World update if there's any sun on the screens at all they become more or less unreadable, didn't notice this problem before but the green text isn't penetrating at all, I can't even use my own shadow in TIR to create a shadow haha, noticed this on the built in supercarrier cold start spawn mission which I just used to test. If anyone else is getting this please let me know, I don't think I ever had any trouble in the previous build.

Thanks for your input guys, I took it back to the retailer and they replaced it on the spot, new one works perfectly! I guess that QC Passed sticker didn't really mean anything on the old unit, ah well. Thanks again.

Damn, I'll contact thrustmaster about this, I suspect the switch is faulty and hopefully the store I got it from has one there to swap it over for.

Just got this one yesterday and have a question about the sensor select switch, the lovely one with the nice click sound, pushing it left or right seems to click it back after a press, but up/down it seems to get "stuck" and I have to push it back into the center, basically the 7 and 9 buttons on this stick are "sticky" but the 8 and 10 automatically re-center, the press button works perfectly. :helpsmilie: Is this working as intended? I assume so but it's hard to get used to, I've googled this a bit but can't seem to find an answer.

move your mousewheel up over it to turn it on, then click and hold the button to BIT, should read 100 if i recall

Happened to me after joining a server fresh! i reloaded the game and it fixed it.

It looks like an old and warn aircraft cockpit, perhaps new lights are in order!

BINGO! I must've accidently hit that extending the fuel probe in and out, I might have to lean over a bit better with TIR next time! I do recall hitting the gear handle, but I returned it to the original position, is there a way to restore the NWS function? just curious in case I "fat finger" it again.

In multiplayer yesterday I spawned in an F14 and fully started her up with the assisted mode from Jester, everything was fine until it was time to taxi, the Nosewheel steering wouldn't engage, with either joystick binding or N key. I'm fairly sure I didn't miss anything during startup. I rebooted the game and rejoined the server and had no issues 2nd time around. However I went in single player today to practice flying and the same thing happened!

I purchased the Mirage but I find in the current state it's a little underwhelming, I hope to look at it again once the features start to come online. In regards to the discussion I don't really want upgrades to this Mirage, a complete feature set would be cool before talking about more variants. In the bigger picture for DCS I'm a little tired of the ground pounding stuff, I do like the KA50 and the A10C though, but I'd like to see how the F14 from Leatherneck turns out, if it ever does, the scope of that project I personlly think is beyond the simulators technical level. (DCS World needs better sea/carrier stuff). If the Mig29 and Su27 were at A10C level of detail and complexity I'd be a very happy man, Not so much interested in F15/16/18 though.

Hi ! I've got black shark 2 in DCS World, and sometimes feel the need to red it up and set Russian hud and stuff, but the betty is english still, Is there a way to change this back to the Russian voices in the old black shark?

Hi fellas, im stuck. I just installed BS1 and now attempting to install BS2 and the installer says it can't find BS1, I even installed to the default directory (didn't have the game installed before was too busy with A10)

Okay, so i've been waiting for quite a few days now, what's up with the download/serial section?

lol Me too, I got the 8800 GTX XXX edition, It's screamign along in every game and then i thought, holy crap I gotta whack lockon over with max AA and 1600x1200 resolution, but I can't get into the section of the site that lists my serial number for the download edition! DOH!

I'm unable to locate where the serial number is stored on the website for my download version, just got vista, got the 1.12b patch from another site (can't get it here) and now i can't find the serial on the website anymore.
