  1. For night and bad weather flying lovers: 1. Air-to-air refueling, no radar, no NVGs 2. Landing on the USS Tarawa (50% fuel). 3. Take-off from the Tarawa (wind 55 km/h on deck) 4. Overhead break and landing at Kholki Airbase Enjoy!
  2. I can't seem to make it work in 2.5.5.41371 (Switch ON + HOTAS). Any news?
  3. Here's a relatively short and simple tutorial on AAR with the F-16C. Would love to hear from you guys.
  4. New Viper Air-to-Air Refueling Tutorial Here's a relatively short and simple tutorial on AAR with the F-16C. Would love to hear from you guys.
  5. Lol, sorry I don't follow.
  6. Thanks, guys. The whole thing was kind of an accident. I had started a couple of days before by playing around with the Hornet TACAN, trying to understand how operating it was different compared to the one in the Mirage. DCS is like Wikipedia. You sure know when you dive in, but you never know when you get out, and with what...
  7. Good to know I'm not the only one. Do you think it's a problem inherent to the way LGBs are guided and unable to anticipate the impact point? Or is it a flaw ED has not tackled yet?
  8. Very cool! Was it done with the CTLD JTAC mod?
  9. Thank you. Stressful, but that was also a lot of fun!
  10. Decoy, I can't believe I missed that. I'm gonna have to upgrade my glasses! Thank you so much.
  11. Haha, thanks! Night carrier landings are definitely on my to-do list. But that may take some time. There is just too much stuff to have fun with in DCS!
  12. The AAR itself was actually easier during the night as aircraft and airfield lights seems to punch through clouds and fog.
  13. Thanks Baltic, will do that until we have an option to set it in the plane before the mission starts.
  14. Thanks, but I have not been able to find that option. Is it supposed to be in the Special section where you can choose to have your INS pre aligned?
  15. Lol! Thank you, and you're right, didn't seem realistic to me either, but hey, who doesn't like a challenge? :pilotfly: Hopefully, the weather system in DCS will get overhauled soon.
  16. Thank you all for your answers and feedback!
  17. IRL, what are the minimum visibility conditions to perform an AAR?
  18. Thanks. I emptied these folders but nothing changed. Here are two tracks showing the difference between day and night time. Same mission and weather parameters, except for the time (2.30pm and 0.30am) During day time, in the clouds, you can barely see the line of tankers at 12 o'clock. During night time, with NVGs, you can see EVERYTHING clearly. I also tried with the Mirage NVGs, same results, so either it's my computer or it's DCS World related. Note: I'm on the Open Beta Bad Weather Visibility.trk Bad Weather Night Visibility with NVGs.trk
  19. Is it normal that I can see through the clouds during night time with the NVGs?
  20. Is there a way to equip the Mirage with NVGs if it starts the mission in the air?
  21. Great, thanks for the info. And I finally managed to refuel with a single contact. The A-10 seems to me the toughest bird to refuel
  22. I have trouble refueling mid-air with the A-10A. The first contact is usually alright, but if I lose it it's impossible to reconnect even though the boom is "drawn" to and often physically on top of the open receptacle. Is that a bug?
