  1. Apparently something went wrong while trying to edit the airbase mission for A-10 for FC2 can somebody pm me or post the original? That will overwrite any changes correct? If you want to change the flight from 2 aircraft to 4 then you'd increase the units correct?
  2. Are there any new FC2 A-10 missions such as a CSAR? But where can I find the best FC2 A-10 missions?
  3. And when you say adjust the axis which one pitch roll or yaw? And what would the fundamentals be exactly to know how to trim other than hitting the up and down arrows?
  4. Does A-10C just do the same and make you keep a constant speed? Or has it changed? And how would you suggest keeping the trim stabilized? I mean when I try to engage altitude hold by pressing A then 6 +ALT the the whole AP engages. For altitude hold do you just need to hit 6+Alt and not a? maybe i've been hitting the wrong buttons. would altitude hold work for trim tharos?
  5. But even when i did try managing the throttle the plane became a little more level but not by much I trimmed it but then it started to dive unexpectedly. Right now I'm flying with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, with throttle. I hope DCS A-10C won't be like that. IT'll have an auto trim hopefully do we know?
  6. Oh believe me I never use the AP it gets the plane unbalance or something. But how would you suggest flying a constant speed when having to pull g turns to come back around for a strafing pass? I mean all I need is a button that'll keep this speed and get me to the target and back when at the target i can take over. is there an AP throttle or something similar?
  7. Will the flight controls be the same as fc2 or more precise, will there be a boxed version of it or only download? and is dcs a-10c a totally separate program or do you need lomac ?
  8. Whenever I am flying I'm always fighting the aircraft for trim. It wants to go up but I move it down and vice versa. ANd when I try to use a Maverick it is that much harder cause I have to fight to stabilize just to see the scope. How do you stabilize the trim so its level? And with the autopilot when I hit A the planes takes over total control when i just want it to fly the heading I was and keep this altitude, but it goes into a huge turn to adjust to the waypoints. And when I take it out of AP it then is unstable either banking hard right or hard left. How do you fix this.
  9. Questions on DCS A-10C I'm just wondering will the training be much much harder than lomac fc 2 or equal to? ANd if it is more challenging can you catch on quickly or will it take months of training just to get to mission 1? And how many single missions are there if any, and why 2 campaigns can you participate in Red Flag exercises or what? What is the 2nd campaign besides the black sea one?
  10. Surprised an artist that famous could get his facts messed up. It's just a typo though. But still doing paintings like that he should know the correct time period.
  11. IS this artist wrong in his caption about the 435TFS attacking the Viet Tri bridge in May of 1967 during OP. Linebacker? Didn't Linebacker start in 72 and not 67 so won't that make it Rolling Thunder? http://www.chesterfieldarmament.com/ata ... hantom.php Just 50 miles north-west of Hanoi in North Vietnam, lies the long and winding valley of the infamous Red River - a name that was to become bitterly familiar to the F4U Phantom pilots of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing. Flowing for miles through the country's deep interior, the waters of the Red River fed the strategically important steel mills at Thai Nguyen, and the power stations at Viet Tri; they also irrigated the rice and shrimp paddy fields that fed the armies of the North Vietnamese and Vietcong, distributed to the combat areas through a sophisticated network of hidden trails and tracks, bridges and railways. Defending these vitally important targets was a vast array of anti-aircraft systems of every conceivable type and calibre; at Yen Bai the North Vietnamese even established a secret fighter airfield where their Mig jet fighters were hidden in hangers dug by hand deep into the surrounding hills - in short it was one of the most heavily defended and awesome places on Earth. But these targets had to be destroyed, and one aircraft above all others became inextricably and forever linked with the fast, low-level jet attacks to obliterate these heavily fortified objectives - the legendary F4U Phantom, the fastest, most powerful, versatile fighter of the day. The bravery and determination of the Phantom crews as they flew into the maelstroms of intense, deadly flak and ground fire remain an inspiration to all ground attack combat pilots and crew. Simon Atack's limited edition print portrays one such awe-inspiring attack. In May 1967 Operation Linebacker was launched, its objective - the complete and utter destruction of the North Vietnamese Army's means of supply. Everything was to be hit - roads and railways, and especially bridges that carried vital supplies south through the DMZ to the fighting areas. On 24 May the Phantom pilots of the 435th TFS, the Eagles, part of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing based at RTAFB Ubon, attacked the North Vietnamese bridge at Viet Tri. Simon has brilliantly captured the hair-raising moment as F4U Ol' Eagle Eye and other Phantoms of the 435th TFS hurtle away from the attack area, whilst behind them the air is filled with shell bursts, colored tracer, dense smoke and thunderous explosions, creating terror and panic with the defenders.
  12. Thanks I'll look at them and get back to you on what I learned and observed and if I have any questions. Probably will ;)
  13. Thanks for the offer I haven't had time to practice with the mission editor so if you could make them I'd appreciate it. Sorry but I've just been really busy these past days.
  14. I've been reading Venn's AARs and they're helpful, but what i can't get is on the 4th mission I always assign targets to my wingmen but once i get close I'm engaged by 4 Flankers and have missiles everywhere so everytime I get shot down, and i dont know there range at ALL! :helpsmilie: Is there any way to get those guys out of the sky? And can you save the game at a certain point like in previous ver. so i wont have to always go back to an engine start up sequence? Tacview-20100715-211854.txt.rar F-15 4vs. Su27s and backfires.rar Tacview-20100716-134134.txt.rar another failed attempt .rar
  15. With the 3rd Eagle mission i did what Venn said and that is to lock up a target and tell your wingman to engage instead of saying engage bandits, and it worked. But the question i have is there was a 4 ship of Flankers and Fulcrums and all we took down were the Fulcrums what happened to the Flankers then? Here's the trk F-15 4vMig 29.trk
  16. Thanks for the help ;)
  17. Ok I'll go through it again, YES finally got him in and landed. thanks for the help. ;)
  18. Did all of that, He talked to me a bit on the way in and I stayed in trail less than 1nm through the clouds, and he went on final and touched down and taxied in. But I requested to land and the tower never came back, and I never got a mission complete.
  19. Well I was able to bring him down but as described in another post never got a mission complete or failed, or response from the tower?
  20. Odd thing is i have the disc version which includes the patch?
  21. I'm having trouble bringing in the C-17 on the 2nd mission of the camp. I set out and join up with him, but I'm always ahead of him and when he starts a descent he loses me in the clouds. How do you finish this mission?
  22. Good to hear, ;)
  23. Is this what you're describing bengo? Question I have is how do you get into a BVR fight and not use all 8 of your missiles against him when launching 2 5 sec apart? that'd expend your ordanance quickly. Tacview-20100712-121005.txt.rar
  24. Exactly what I thought. Tacview-20100712-101006.txt.rar
  25. Yeah I finally found it sorry for the delay, but I can't upload it? It says there are errors
