But missiles dont appear on the rwr, from what i've seen. i might be wrong, all i did was try to beam it break hard while releasing chaff do you think TIR is of any help at all? I mean missiles wont stay BVR for long til you can visually id them.

I've started using TIR in FC 2 and have to say that I like it alot. But I hope I'll get used to it, because in one of the BVR fights against a MIG23 I never saw him launch a missile and got shot down about 4 times. Does it get easier to track things with practice?

Ok, do you also have graphic delays sometimes?

Ever since installing FC 2 everytime I switch from a briefing screen to loading screen it always takes me back to the desktop for about 20secs, and then shows that small screen of 2 Eagles at dusk and then starts loading, and also shows the taskbar at the end of a mission. Is this a bug or normal? And the graphics seem to have a delay in loading, ?

Well thanks for the help i fixed the control issue. I hadn't changed the curvature of the axis. So that done but now when i launch weapons I can't fire the canon? Even after I'm in gunsight mode?

i tried doing that and it still there. can you post an acmi file of how hard to turn and roll or describe them? and the trim is causing problems with the nose. when i start a mission the trim is way up and continues to cause problems such as coming out of a turn the nose drops down from where it was pointed. :(

Whenever I start a mission the joystick always seems a little too sensitive. I mean if I just tap the stick then the plane will start a slight turn to the left or right depending on the side i tapped it on. Is there a way to fix this so it isn't so sensitive? I've already recalibrated it. And what is the button to fire weapons? I've assigned the weapons fire button, but whenever I press that and have an AIM-120 or 9 selected it only fires the cannon?:helpsmilie:

I just recently received FC 2 and am trying to setup the controls for my stick. How exactly do you setup a slider for the throttle?

That's the story,mvsgas. Sad eagles are leaving Langley. I mean we've stopped raptor production, so raptors can't fill every single eagle base. So some eagles will have to remain in service

I recently made a trip up to Norfolk, VA and stopped by Langley AFB and NAS Oceana. Saw about 9 Raptors land at Langley, and 9 Super Hornets lan at Oceana. Sad thing is though in the Langley newspaper it said that by mid-sept. all Eagles will have flown away from there. It is going to be a complete Raptor base.The Eagles will be transferred to ANG units, Weapons Squadrons, and squadrons at Kadena AB in Japan.

To play Flaming Cliffs 2 you need Lock On Modern Air Combat, the 1st version, you don't need Flaming Cliffs. And the manuals are sold separately. So to answer your question yes you do need to buy them from the e-shop.

Thats what I thought, way too close for a noob. out of curiosity is a there a way you could possibly record using this effect in TACVIEW and then pm me or post it to see how it works, and how to set it up?

It was an R-27 but I had him like less than 4nm out so i think it was too close for the effect to work.

Well I just tried doing that with the FBP in LOMAC putting a SU27 at my 9 and me flying perpendicular to him and he still hit me. I guess it's an art that takes time to master. And when i meant speed I meant it doesn't have to do anything with your speed just the closure rate.
