  1. YEah ATI Radeon HD 4670 , sorry bout that? You need a seperate program for antialiasing in FC 2?
  2. what about a Radeon card? Do you need simulator.exe for that? There isn't an antialiasing option in FC 2?
  3. Thats the one that i downloaded and is now all setup thanks for the help.
  4. Thanks nemesis I downloaded the wrong file so now it's all set up when i get FC 2 in 2 wks. All I have to do is run TS 3 and FC 2 at the same time and I can communicate correct?
  5. I haven't got FC 2 yet but will in about 2 weeks, and I just downloaded TS 3 for FC 2, but now the application won't even open. It just opens and then closes. It hasn't even installed. Is there a problem, or does it see I don't have FC 2 yet? And how does it work exactly?
  6. Odd you say that because Ironhand says Staying Alive was created using ver 1.1 and there are audio tracks. Some I'm just lost? If you dont mind me asking slug88 how did you install it and where is it located and how do you run it?
  7. I have tried VLC and it says it doesn't support the file. It ran in the LOMAC replays but w/out any voice?
  8. I've always been suggested to watch Ironhand's tutorials, and finally have been told they are really replays and not missions or videos. but the 1 problem i'm getting is there is no voice over in any of them only the sounds the game would make, such as the engines air etc. Where'd the voice go?
  9. Tacview wouldn't affect FC2 ?
  10. That's what i keep up is getting more flight time to understand how to take on anybody from any position 3/9 12/6 etc. I know that I'll get better just never played LOMAC in depth before. but now that it can run on Vista I'll be getting alot more flight time in.
  11. :( Sorry but yeah I got the beaming down, and understand it. Just now I'm trying to train myself with better tactics, to avoid missiles to be as good as you guys. Now that the game will finally work with my computer:thumbup:
  12. Thanks for the help bengo, it finally worked for me. Except there's no audio during the replay?
  13. thanks for the help.
  14. That's great to hear that you can split the flight so a pair can take some targets and you and your wingman can take others. Question though are the controls for issuing commands the same as in LOMAC? Or have they been changed?
  15. No it's not that I don't lock them it's just I've been experimenting with the radar scan elevation and apparently the reason they didn't appear was the radar was scan at a lower altitude than they were. So I used Shift+; and Shift+. to adjust the elevation and soon got them on radar. Sorry Udat but I've downloaded Ironhand's missile evasion video multiple times but it never runs. it is just a .trk file and about 40 VLC audio files. Can somebody instruct me on how to install and use this? I've been recommended this many times but can never get it to work. But didn't know that about STT mode thanks. Someday i'll get better and will answer these questions for others.;)
  16. I just wanna ask, I own the original LOMAC, and would like to know ever since buying it it has always been crashing sometimes, cause I use Vista 64. So I switched to compatibility mode with WIN 2000 and it is working better but still crashes. So will these crashes affect the performance of Flaming Cliffs 2 when installed? Since the original is the program the add on will run from? Or since FC 2 was designed for Vista it'll be stable?
  17. Yeah I'm flying an Eagle and scanning for a Flanker or Fulcrum. I change them to train with different aircraft. And no they aren't beaming me because I lock them up and they're still straight and level. At about 10nm then they start to make maneuvers.
  18. Odd thing is with the LOMAC manual I have, there is no section on Air to Air radar, since I have the first LOMAC. But I know how to slew the radar so it tracks from 5k to 20k and change the vertical scan array of it, along with changing the different modes. But can't figure out why it doesn't track targets within 20nm with it set to 40nm? I just want to make sure that I'm training myself well so that since I'm a noob I'll be ready for a dogfight with pros like you bengo. ;) Would you say I'm doing the right thing or not?
  19. Thanks for the help, I've done the radar tutorial. But does the manual go more in depth? Or can somebody possibly give me an answer like Bengo did? No offense ;)
  20. Sorry guys didn't mean to be a pest.
  21. Whenever i played the original LOMAC I had trobules with the radar. I mean I'd have the radar scanning 80nm out and have 2 targets ahead at 20nm and still no blip on the radar. But in FC2 is that bug fixed?
  22. Out of curiosity do you think i'm staying on the right path or am i screwing up?
  23. Thanks for the help, I feel I'm getting better at defensive maneuvers. Reason is because I now fly with a wingman and I lock up 2 bogeys using TWS and then wait for them to fire then fire 2 AMRAAMs and if I have a missile coming at me I pull hard right or left and dive for the ground inverted while releasing chaff/flares. And also sometimes have to do some climbs or dives to bleed the missile's energy. But what you said EtherealN that's what I do,first get a lock send 1 or 2 down range and if they fire then start defensive moves. Probably not maybe, but surely I'm still a noob but I hope I'm learning things better, and am on the right path.
  24. If you don't mind me asking what other defensive maneuver would you suggest? And could you give a description of it?
