  1. Try to assign zoom to the Hotas. Is way more comfortable than having the zoom axis assigned to the TrackIR.
  2. Do you use TrackIR? If so, have you been using it to zoom in and out or you use your HOTAS? it'll look small to you cause in reality, HUD displays ate proyected into "infinity". Try setting zoom buttons or axis in your hotas, or if you feel confortable with it, assgn the zoom axis to the TrackIR. I do not advise you to do this, because when zoomed the image will become too shaky and not cnfortable to look for bandits/ground targets. Best Regards,
  3. You ough to calm down buddy, you sound a little bit agressive don't you think? :)
  4. Carlo Kopp is... welll... how to put it in a diplomatic way? Not playing with the full deck maybe? Although he has a valid point in that Russia's philosophy of air to air weaponry employment is considerably different from the western one, I think he sometimes lack credibility by making statements that don't sound professional or coming from a defence analyst. Anyway IMHO the technological advantage of the west is somehow overrated, to the point that we won't know how effective everybody's weapon systems are until they face a wide scale real conflict. Best Regards,
  5. The same happens to me, and I noticed something else: during night missions it gets even worse. Sith argument that VRAM could be the cause does not apply to me with my current rig: iMac 27" running Bootcamp with Windows 10 64bit Pro, GeForce GTX780M 4GB , Intel Core i7-4771 @ 3.50Ghz, 32Gb DDR3 on a Fusion Drive 3TB. As most of you guys said before, everything goes just fine until the TGP's FLIR is switched on. I should mention as well that frame rates are better in the DCS 2 Open Alpha, it still has the issue of FPS dropping 50% when the FLIR is used. Said that, DCS 2 gives me way 70% more fps with better settings than 1.5... maybe it could be a programming bug? If you need better info, let me know. Regards,
  6. Thanks for the info! It's really helpful, even to a Flanker pilot (as we learn tactics normally used by the OPFOR and we are aware of our weak points).
  7. I do agree that skill can variate a lot with the time when you are in the server, but other pilota noticed a sudden change after the update, is not only me. But again, your point is as well right.
  8. Aparently that loss is confirmed. Again, Wikipiedia sometimes is the second to worst source of information. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_War_air_campaign#Losses
  9. I agree with that regarding losses due to SAMs. The only loss I can recall is that F-18C shot down by a Mig-25 during the Gulf War back in 91 (and I'm not even sure if that's a confirmed kill). Going back to the root issue of this thread, most of 104th pilots would say that missiles are behaving even worse after the last update: not only the AMRAAMs, but also the 27s(ET and ER) and the 73s as well, having been in situations where the launch parameters were optimal but the missiles just refused to even lock on the bandit and went dud straight away. So for now the only thing that we can do is wait for the final DCS 2.5 and just launch missiles at bandits like if it was a Veritech fighter in Robotech Best Regards, Veritech

  11. After the latest patch, I've noticed that the missiles are noticeably "less accurate" than they used to be. At first I thought that it was due to my own lack of ability  but then talking to other users in the 104th TS I've realized that the problem affects not only me, but plenty of people out there. I always fly the Flanker, and I DO know that the russian missiles are somewhat less reliable than american ones, but this is happening to the whole array of air to air weapons. Has anybody noticed something similar about it? I've even found dud missiles in the best of environments (optimal R-max, rear aspect IR engagements, etc) Regards to all, Veritech
  12. Hi! LONEWOLF Callsign: Veritech Pref. Aircraft: Su-27 Team: Blue
  13. Count me in.
  14. Cool, I'm installing it right now
  15. Thanks bro! I don't use Steam, I purchased FC3 directly from ED's website. What's the deal? I can download Steam and use it with DCS?
  16. I'm just asking as we don't have the same timings and I would like to find somebody to fly with as well. Servers feel kinda lonely sometimes.
  17. God, loved the music video! I had seen it many years back and I did not recall it! Anyway, I'm from Argentina, I just happen to be living here, but I'll visit the server! Are the events done in Israel timings?
  18. Si volas Flankers avisame!
  19. I haven't but I will. Nice to know that I'm not the only one in UAE! What A/C do you fly?
  20. Hey guys, I'm an expat living in Dubai. Is kind of hard to find somebody that do flies FC3 around here, not to say that there is no server at all. Is there anybody around the ME or Gulf area in the same situation? European servers have a lot of lag, and it's quite difficult to pair with somebody that would like to fly and have a wingman. Let me know and PM me! :joystick: Regards, Leo
