It's not just the Mig 21. 1.5 and 2 has been a nightmare for other third party developers. I don't blame them. Just growing pains I'm sure they will get sorted once DCS settles down. Sent from my SM-G901F using Tapatalk

I have the attitude of buying these modules early on a discount and sale and I don't fly them until almost out of beta or released. Got the Hawk for £7 on a sale which is ridiculously cheap and flown it a hand full of times. I will revisit it when it's in open release. I also have the M2000. Again bought on a discount and sale, flown a few times but won't get into it until they have finished it and release. The fact is they can't win. People moan about extended delays and people moan about a unfinished product. Catch22. I'm happyas there are plenty of other great modules to fly whilst I'm waiting for these to be completed and I've have them at a discount and a early first view. Just wait until full release and pay full price for a completed module:smilewink:

I preordered NTTR and will be able to download both campaigns once completed. My question is- Will I be able to use my A10a module on the upcoming A10 campaign or is it just for the C version? Edited for typo

Hi Guys, I'm not sure if this is a bug or something else in the background affecting performance. I sometimes get very low fps when starting a new game in DCS 1.5 or 2.0. I am talking 11-15 fps. If I restart the p.c it normally clears the problem and I'm back up to 60-100 fps. This happens in both multiplayer and single on all modules. I have a Intel i5,16gb of ram and a nvidia 970 gpu.

[DUPLICATE] f 86 rudder off center with new patch!
leadlag replied to Sixxpack's topic in Bugs and Problems
New to the F86 and this has caused me confusion. Pedals are offset and sometimes they straighten depending on engine revs. Makes for a difficult take off! Please fix E.D -
The F86 is a lot more forgiving than the Mig15. I bought both modules and have to admit that the controls locking and slow speed handling on the Mig15 makes it a harder aircraft to master.

Another vote for the Warthog. All the button locations are well thought through so no real stretching to get to anything important without taking your hands off which is the whole point of Hotas. It is a copy of the A10 stick which had alot of $ spent on its development so you're buying a well designed product. It is the expensive but if you look around you can find agood deal.

Possible bug with Zoom function and Language In Russian.
leadlag replied to leadlag's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Thanks for this. I will take a look later and change it. Undertstand why there is a conflict on the zoom with track ir but a bit annoying that it is a problem now. -
Possible bug with Zoom function and Language In Russian.
leadlag replied to leadlag's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have more than one controller assigned to the axis. Never had a problem before but suppose now it may be a problem with the latest. I will change it and see if that helps. I reverted back from the latest update to see if it would make any difference but will update back. Where in the menu system do you adjust the language option for individual aircraft? -
Hi, Have had a look around the forums but can't find anyone else with these issues. Not sure if this is my set up or a bug in 1.5. I'd appreciate a steer in the right direction please. The zoom slider on my Warthog throttle will not work on the Su27. I have allocated it and checked the axis tune and it's working on the axis display but not in the aircraft. All I get is a slight flickering. It is also the case in the Su25. In the A10a and F15c it all works fine in parallel to my track I.R. Also now the Su27 is in Russian. Anyway to change this back to English? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Landing: To airbrake or to not to airbrake?
leadlag replied to ekg's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Landing with air brakes extended is a generally a safer option especially in strong winds as the wind gradient can be very severe and you have more control of the decent with them extended and engines throttled up. In fact a steeper approach needs to be flown in certain conditions. Conditions dictate but generally land with is better. -
Hi All, I am GMT minus 1 hour (light saving) and have 6 months experience flying the F15/SU27?SU33 but most experienced and comfortable with the F15. I have total 9 months experience on DCS and I am at a reasonable standard but still have alot to learn. I am interested in flying with others who would like to learn to fly together as a group in cooperation and learn together and from each other. I am a shift worker so can fly mostly during the day. Cheers Ian

Training/learning campaigns or how to get better at DCS
leadlag replied to derodo's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Have you had a go at flying the SU25T and doing the tutorial missions? I came to DCS through this free module and found it invaluable for cutting my teeth in missile evasion, navigation, systems and tactics in general. It comes with some great tutorials and flying something much slower really helps honing your skilss when dealing with S.A.Ms. There is a SEAD mission. -

DCS Warthog HOTAS Profiles by Polaris & Schnix
leadlag replied to POLARIS1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks guys for your hard work. -
Thamks for that. So many keys to learn.

Thanks for the reply. Thay would make sense. It is like I have leaned forward in the cockpit as perspective of other instuments changes . Didn't realise you could do this. How do you do you lean forward and back? I can zoom using mouse scroll but leaning is differrent. How do you reset your position? Sorry if this is a obvious question.

I have tried zooming but still doesn't solve the problem. Will try and get a screenshot. Just imagine looking at the HUD and only seeing the inner 70%. Like i have zoomed in. Very annoying
-
Hi Guys, For some reason, sometimes when I'm flying the Eagle the HUD becomes unreadable during a flight. It appears that I can only see a zoomed in part of it and I cannot see the edges where all the essential information is. Is it me? Am I pressing something? I have tried everything but nothing reverts it. I have to restart the whole mission to get it back. Thanks In advanced to for any advice on this.

Can I pick your brains guys? I have trained up on the SU25T and all is good. Now I have bought FC3 and i am learning other aircraft. Does anyone know why the downloadable video tutorials do not work on my DCS? I downloaded the Eagle tutorial for FC3. When I open it it doesn't see my copy of DCS. Is this because I have a Steam copy?

Thanks guys for your kind words and Wrecking Crew for the pointers. Hope to fly with you soon!
