  1. Would we be able to transition existing standalone modules to the Steam version in the foreseeable future? Is it being considered?
  2. I really enjoyed this campaign. The action and technical dialogue do a good job of reinforcing and continuing the learning experience of the interactive training missions, and the script and characters provide very entertaining storytelling too. I could almost see Berger 01 smiling and waving a finger in mock reproach as he said "Chevy... negative!" Great work, and I look forward to doing the Red Flag campaign :)
  3. Any reason to expect that transferring the other way would become available in the foreseeable future?
  4. ROFL! Different guy, and this was much more entertaining!
  5. Lol, you mean that "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!" kid?
  6. You think October was five months ago? That says so much... Sure, more than three months before the end of the release window you get upset, you're*offered* and that's not enough. I really don't want to give the impression I believe you've started legal action, but even if you did you know what the remedy would be? A refund. Just like the refund you've already been offered. This is the same thing that is being brought up by one of those who brought this up before. This isn't an attempt at making a genuine contribution to a debate, this is repeatedly posting the same comments about the same things. Forum rule 1.5: Forum rule 1.10
  7. Thanks for posting those, great to see the cat doing what she did whenever she was deployed :)
  8. I think Baltic Dragon mentioned plans to create a campaign for the PG map, is this the case still? Hope so, looking forward to it :)
  9. For air-to-air I don't so much look for the aircraft as the con trails. Once I had those drawing a line to the hostile a/c I found it easier to see the aircraft themselves. After a while I guess I learned to recognize the enemy aircraft a little more, but it always takes a lot of awareness. Also, if you select the EW page on your left DDI, that will bring up a diagram that will show you a top-down view of all detected threats with your a/c in the center. Seeing ground targets from altitudes beyond about 100 meters was pretty much impossible for me, personally I think it's tougher to acquire ground targets than air-to air. All I can suggest is look closely at any pictures of the target and note any landmarks mentioned. Last, I strongly suggest you don't play at any resolution beyond 1080p, at least until you are comfortable. I could hardly ever see what I was looking for when I played at 2560 x 1440. I can't imagine how tough I'd find playing in 4K.
  10. That’s right, it will be available on both stable and open beta but will hit OB first, and new features will become available on OB first.
  11. It won’t necessarily stay in open beta. It will become available in open beta first and we can’t say how long it might be before it moves to stable, I think the AV-8B and F/A-18 moved to stable in a month or maybe a little less. When you decide whether to switch to open beta, bear in mind that new features will hit open beta first, but some will contain bugs yet to be squashed.
  12. I have no idea how I missed that, that’s my favourite news today, much appreciated!
  13. Sorry, the -B will be feature what now? Really? If you say yes and it winds up being feature complete a month or two after, I promise not to rage in this forum or sue :P
  14. With a strong and fair industrial relations framework that protects workers rights I would agree with you. When people are offered inadequate pay and ridiculous workloads industry wide people have little choice but to accept what's offered. This is both off-topic and political so I'll leave it there.
  15. You have all done a great job here. Kudos for inserting a storyline and having it enhance the missions. I loved Berger's line delivery in particular, I could almost see him smiling and wagging a reproachful finger while saying "Chevy - negative!"
  16. That bites :( Are you gone long? If so, any way you could have a trusted friend sign into your DCS account, download the game and module, copy it to a portable HDD and mail it to you? Can anyone advise if that would work?
  17. "If you won't do it, I'll hire someone who will". I can't believe how widely that attitude has taken hold. Standard of living goes way beyond dollars and cents. You mean The Islamic Republic of Iran? :D
  18. I think the store said "Q1 2019" EDIT: Text from store: "You will be able to redeem one T-Shirt that will ship in Q1 2019 We will send out an email on how to redeem the t-shirt of your choice in the size of your choice prior to shipping."
  19. Yes, the US being one of them.
  20. I believe the majority of people working on the F-14 are doing this as a second job. Beyond being "nice", that raises a very good *commercial* reason for time off over the holiday season. People working second jobs already get limited time off which can stretch family and social ties to begin with. There is a level people get to where a second job is more trouble than it's worth. If working with one of our devs means they forfeit any holidays leading up to launch many won't be willing to do it. Smaller labor pool can mean lower quality workers, and that leads to lower quality modules. That's the call Cobra has to make, and it is his call, since giving his people holidays off doesn't look like it will mean we are waiting for the module beyond the release window.
  21. Got it done, thanks for the help
  22. Oh ok that makes sense - I just skipped my way through it
