took me hours (6-7 hours i think) to get my x-52 dialed in. but i played around a lot and learned and setup some cool macros. air to air is not that hard to do. it's not button heavy like doing air-ground

oops, didnt notice the second page before commenting. my suggestion was the training mission update. which someone already suggested. although the update helps, it's still not perfect.

i have downloaded an x-52 (non pro) profile for my newly aquired x-52. let me know if you'd be interested in the profile. i set it up to be completely mouse free. i have spent hours dialing this thing in. although still have some work to do. i realize the pro and non pro are somewhat different, but it's a good reference anyway. i started playing flight sims back in the lo-mac days. a-10c actually has training missions compared to lo-mac.

roger that. it seems some of the easier reached switches in the cockpit cant be mapped to the keyboard. wasnt sure if that was on purpose or if my game is bugged again. cool to know i can remap some of this profile since they dont work. i'm going to have to write up a new cheat sheet for your setup. i got controls scattered everywhere, but the majority is still mapped to your profile. thanks once again

hey, sven. sorry to keep bugging you. i started a thread about this but no one seems to want to respond. in your profile, there is a lighting HUD color toggle (T3 misc+pinkie) for me, it does nothing. i found that, in game, under options-controls.....the keyboard isnt mapped to the HUD color change. for some reason it wont let me map a key command to it. do you have this same problem? the key that is supposed to be mapped is RCtrl+H

hey guys, still trying to dial in my x-52 setup. i am using a pre-made profile but have noticed that some of the commands from the joystick arent working. well i figured out that under options/ controls that i cant map my keyboard to certain items. Like HUD color for instance. it is highlighted with a different color. and there are other items i cant map and they have the same highlights on the menu. why cant i map them to my keyboard?

if i hold down the pinkie button in the programming it brings up a whole new list. i just mapped the same commands in the non pinkie into the pinkie section. all good

hahaha, i just noticed the little dude reading. hey man, one more question. with my snap views, its a constant press........so when i hit the pinkie switch to hit other commands while holding a snap view........the pinkie switch takes it out of view. how can i rig this up in the programming so the pinkie switch wont take it out of view? nevermind. figured it out

huh, ok. got ya. ya the throttle scroll wheel is set for view-reset. or was originally when i downloaded your profile. thanks sven.

oh and i set up the head tracker pause button with the zoom in/out wheel so i could zoom in, pause it, zoom out, un-pause. pretty quick and easy that way

i thought it was set up for left click? by scroll, do you mean move the cursor? and what i meant by having to use the mouse, some buttons in the cockpit use the mouse scroll wheel. and i dont see that mapped in the profile, so i have to go to the mouse. or am i missing something?

pretty nice profile sven i changed a few things for my needs. like i added snap views to the throttle rotaries. so middle is no view then right or left gives me a snap view. pretty cool. i changed the scroll button to pause tracIR added wheel brakes to the throttle changed the night vision goggles to a toggle switch so i can set pinkie mouse fire to the right click mouse button. the only thing i think that sucks is i still have to use the mouse when i need to scroll on buttons in the cockpit. out of curiosity, why did you leave POV hat 1 blank?

yep, it all works now. my install was bad due to the fact i had the joystick plugged in while installing the drivers. here is the fix http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=85628 thanks for the help guys

well "test" mode in the SST works. it didnt before. so thats a plus. now to figure out the rest....

no pedals.....seems reinstallint didnt work....wtf. i've been messing with this shit for hours. thanks sven, i'm going to bed. i'll keep you posted on what i find tomorrow night

good info. was wondering about the axis.....thanks for that. i'm using the updated version of the SST and drivers. downloaded straight from their website. i am reinstalling the x52 software now. see what it does.

ya, got all that. i think i'm having a software issue. probably need to remove the driver and reinstall everything for the joystick. some of the SST software isnt working properly i found.

roger that. i'll try this stuff you are suggesting before i start digging around the registry to remove the driver and ya, i can see the assignments. shows all the "keys". when i go into control panel it shows all buttons are working

got ya, i figured out that it simulates keyboard presses....which is why i assumed the keyboard layout should be uploaded as a profile for the joystick. i read that if you hvae the stick plugged in when you install the drives, it screws up some stuff. i'm going to try to reinstall and see what happens. so far from what you told me, i had it right. oh, and when i "test" your profile with the SST software, no buttons show up at all from the joystick, which is why im thinking it a software issue
