  1. in the SU-25T I got hit on the bombing run, Betty is telling me ECS failure, hydraulics failure... over and over again. My fuel is leaking out of my left wing and my right engine is on fire, with its power down to idle. Then it hits me.... I have no idea what to do. :joystick::joystick::joystick: I manage to limp the plane 50 miles, parallel to the Georgian/Russian lines, unable to turn the plane enough to point my nose towards friendlier skies. After my fuel runs out and I decend to 1000ft. I pull the ejection handle and sigh as the flaming, spewing wreckage, disintergrate as it decended into its grave. As fantastic as the training missions are, they don't have any instructions on trying to mitigate a bad hit. No training mission teaches you how to pump fuel out of a leaking tank into a nonleaking tank. None of them tell you what to do when your hydraulics fail or when one engine is on fire and you need to extinguish it and whatnots. My wishlist contribution is politely asking if DCS would consider training missions that focused on emergency situations, when vital systems are damaged and you need to stem the bleeding or perform emergency procedures in order to survive.
  2. :doh:I'm having trouble using the KH-25MPU in the single mission "command post strike" Where youre trying to take out a pair of bunkers at an airfield. I'm having 2 specific troubles with the mission. 1. it takes 2 KAB-500kr bombs to take out 1 of these bunkers and I can only carry 2. Which means I need my wingman to take out the other bunker to complete the mission. How do I get my wingman to coordinate with me, (so that I take out the left bunker while he takes out the right bunker at around the same time.) I've given orders, such as attack my target, then switching to the other bunker. And I've tried to use the "attack objective and return to formation/return home." And everytime my wingman just loiters around the airfield and get shot down by the AA there. Which brings me to 2. 2. My KH-25MPUs are completely useless in this mission, because after all the radar targets are destroyed, what's left are BUKs which don't turn on their radar until I'm very close, way below min range for the KH-25MPUs. I've tried using the TV to fire at them optically, with the laser, but since it didn't work I'm assuming that is not what the KU-25MPUs are capable of. So what do I do with KH-25MPUs in that situation? Nothing?:joystick: Thanks for your help!
  3. +1 it certainly would add to the immersion in singleplayer campaigns and decrease the headache of trying to find real players to be your copilot... I myself know no one that is as interested as I am in playing at this level of simulation and even if they were, they'd hate playing second fiddle in the cockpit.
  4. Anyone know if these FC3 era planes will ever be updated to have clickable cockpits? I'd like to learn to startup my planes manually... engine included. I heard that A-10C has a clickable cockpit, but the engine startup is simplified. Am I wrong? You just hit a keystroke and the engine startups are done for you?
  5. Has any Sim ever "tackled" a Nuclear War campaign/scenario? With nuclear capable migs, it feels like it would make for an interesting experience to live out the absolutely unthinkable and see and participate in a simulated world that decended into/ended in a fiery nuclear holocaust from the perspective of an airman... A campaign that may force you to make hard moral decisions, like... you only have time to take out one of two nuclear capable bombers, one heading towards your base and one heading towards a highly populated city. Do you sacrifice the city to save your comrades, or sacrifice your comrades to save a city of innocent people? I got this sort of question lodged in my mind after I saw an episode on "narrative mechanics" from the guys at Extra Credits... give it a watch, it's a very interesting video about the making of "missile command."
