Been flying the mig21 for a while now and I can confidently use every system except for the gun camera. I have the switch enabled but I can't get anything to appear on the canopy mounted display. I've read the whole manual and I can't find anything on it. What am I missing? Does it only work with the externally mounted canon or something?

Thanks for all the pointers, I was just confused by throttle, as I'm the ka 50 it's just put in auto and left alone from what I understand versus constant operation in a plane. I have managed to do the start up, take off, operate the auto pilot, and the nav system so far so good.

So far it's pretty enjoyable, I've barely been able to take off but it seems like there will be a lot to learn. I'm still very much getting used to operating throttle and collective and am still working out my hotas mappings. It's interesting try to keep a helicopter in the air when you are used to the planes lol.

Thank you both for your input. I took the plunge and went for the KA 50. Now I really have enough modules to last me a long time lol.

Thanks for the input I'm leaning towards the ka 50 now as I don't have any helicopters and it sounds like it would be the best for air to ground attacks.

I'm not sure what to get next. I own the mig21, mig15, f15, su27, preordered the L39, mirage and nttr. I have 32 bonus dollars and I can't decide between the A10C, the ka50, huey, or Mi8. I have enough air to air purposed modules for now I think. Also considering the su25 but I prefer to have full systems modeling so I'm not sure. Thoughts?

I own voice attack and use it quite frequently for elite dangerous, I am just wondering, if this is just controlling comms then it should work with all modules no?

I didn't mean to imply that there was no skill involved, there is and your dogfighting is impressive. Mig21 vs mig21 would really put pilot skills to the test being on a completely even playing field. All I meant was that the gap between weapons capabilities between the mig21 and the sabre is larger than between the mig21 and the f15. Didn't intend to start any sort of debate with you. Cheers.

I'm relaxed, and I have a lot of fun and I'm glad you do as well. I was just pointing out a couple of things. I also meant to imply that it is not an even fight between f15s and the mig21 but it is far more manageable as the mig 21 then it would be as the sabre vs the mig21.

Like taking a knife to a gun fight. Seems a bit odd to have the mig21 on a Korean War era server. Performance gap bigger than the one between the mig21 and the f15. 1965 and the Korean War are mutually exclusive, sounds like good target practice but the time line makes no sense at all lol

I think a good map is just as important as modules and I would imagine just as much, probably more, work has been put into recreating the nttr as accurately as possible as any module. Even without the 2 free campaigns it would be worth 40 dollars considering the orginal map has been the basis of years of fun and rewarding gameplay for years for some people I would imagine.

The radio has just been working for me. I use awacs and can contact atc for anything and I get the proper response. I only bought the mig21 a couple of weeks ago though so I'm not sure what the original issue with the radio was.

Preordered and that's it for a while. Nice to have a fully simulated modern fighter. I fly the mig21 module and of course it's modern but I mean "bvr" modern lol.

Pre ordered, last one for a while (ordered a lot of modules recently) should have enough to keep me busy for some time. Stoked for this.

Very nice, unfortunately as you know I did horribly yesterday, apologies to anyone my awful performance affected.

I was working on the campaign but for the second time I've been on the second mission and happened to have other things I needed to take care of so I quit mid mission. Upon returning, I found tat I have to start again from the first mission. If you fail or quit at any point before completing the current mission it just pits you back to the beginning?

Have you though that maybe you just have a bad network connection and the play back resolution is automatically downgraded because of bandwidth? It's not blurry at all.

I'm good with the f15 and the mig21, can start, fly, navigate and land with the mig15 but I'm terrible with canons so I wouldn't call myself good with it.

I know you have the x52 not x55 but this is my setup, hopefully it helps in some way. I have a custom toggle box that I built that does all the weapons mode switches but other then that, this is all I have mapped. Do a lot of stuff including startup procedures by clicking. Ignore scan zone stuff, I use the same image as a template a lot lol.

Of all the modules I own, this is by far my favourite.

Realism in the mundane...is mundane. There is a point where realism removes any incentive to play at all. Realism in all aspects of combat and flight? Great, having to wait days to get back in a damaged plane when you can just hit r ctrl shift tab? Not so great. You could always make it more realistic for yourself by landing a damaged plane and not playing the game for an appropriate amount of time if you like though.

Ya pretty much, at that point all my focus is on losing the lock, and since they are generally out of range if they spot me first, finding them again too quickly I'll just be back in the same sticky situation.
