  1. It would be a pretty good idea actually
  2. Hello Shmal In due time, both the aircraft and cockpit models will receive a complete overhaul.
  3. Hello Dorian Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for let us know about this. This will be fixed.
  4. - and two confirmed and two probable F-14 kills - and several numbers of (didn´t have the exact number per type right now) F-4s, F-5s, F-16s - it also has claims of F-15 kills
  5. Thanks for letting us know. Apparently there was some mistake made while increasing the limit to 120º/sec. We will check with ED to see what can be done about this.
  6. A lot of things have been changed since those last pictures. Many of the fuselage and wings profiles were not correct, as well as intakes border radius. Canopy placement, shape and size. Correction of the measures of many parts, etc...
  7. The ITR and STR performance of the aircraft is being worked right now. There was a miscommunication issue in the team and a change was made that borked the turn performance of the aircraft. This is being fixed. Cockpit textures were also reworked to delete many black spots in the canopy bow section.
  8. There are a few guidance systems that predate Lazur as well in the Soviet Union, like the Gorizont system. It started to be used in the 50ies about the same time as SAGE was used on F-102/106s. Lazur is much more advanced than SAGE in a lot of parameters and features.
  9. yeah, sorry for no reply, I understand now what you meant. I´ll ask for some changes in that system.
  10. Oh, I know really well how this is supposed to work. Maybe you used the function in a real aircraft, but I have disassembled and repaired this entire system in real life as well in the MiG-21. What I believe is that you´re not correctly expressing what the issue is so I have problem understanding what the problem is?
  11. Let's see, maybe you're not understanding how this switch works. The function of the switch is to disable the aileron actuators, but even then you're able to move them, just this time with your own force by direct control. This means that ailerons will become harder to move at greater speeds, but you're still able to control them.
  12. Can you explain what are you seeing exactly?
  13. It doesn´t mean that DCS MiG-23MLA will be the Iraqi version, but that players will have the possibility as an option to mount these features on the aircraft.
  14. @KAKTYC_11 FM aerodynamic modeling of turn, climb and engine thrust parameters haven´t been changed since may 2019.
  15. The idea is to place a limitation at speeds above 1.000kph IAS for roll speeds, which is realistic for most aircraft. However, it seems that the limit of 90º/sec was too low and this will be increased in the next updates.
  16. The wing angle lever is akin to the gear lever. It has some grooves equivalent to the predefined positions of 16, 45 and 72 degrees, but you can actually put the lever in whatever position you like for any given angle. You know in what position the wing is because you have a wing angle indicator in the cockpit. Putting the lever in any position will make the wing to stay in that setting, it will not move unless maybe with very high G.
  17. Good read. Now keep in mind that the Libyan "MLD" is just a MiG-23ML with updated avionics. Most probably export MLA-2.
  18. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=278045
  19. The MiG-23 was designed from the start for the role of air superiority and as an interceptor, hence, being able to dogfight, escort, intercept fighters or bombers and even to be used as ground attack aircraft with respectable capabilities for the time.
  20. Since this talk is all about the MiG-23 I think that´s it is ok not call it OT. Now, regarding the 23 capabilities, I advice everyone here to go to Razbam Discord once again. There´s a good technical discussion over there and you can always ask any time you want. You also have the chance to talk in real time with developers there. The MiG-23 is certainly one of the most controversial aircraft regarding performance when it comes to aircraft enthusiasts form the west. Many judge the entire MiG-23 lineup by the lackluster performance if the very downgraded export MiG-23MS which was a MiG-21Bis in MiG-23 disguise. The original MiG-23 variants used by the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact allies were much more formidable than anything that was exported to the Middle East, with the exception maybe of the MiG-23ML exported to Iraq, which got very good result in the Iran-Iraq war, shooting down many Iranian fighters of all types, including 2 confirmed and two more probable F-14 fighters. The version to come to DCS is the OG Soviet version with all the performance increases you could expect when compared to an export model. It is my opinion, after being able to read many manuals form different aircraft types that the MiG-23ML, that was later updated into the MLA and MLD late variants, is perfectly capable to go against 4th gen Sparrow armed opponents. The MiG-23MLA has clear advantages over all the other 3rd gen fighters and is only slightly inferior in avionics and some maneuvering performance parameters to 4th gen fighters.
