  1. The purpose of that button is to jettison both ORO-57K rocket pods. The rockets at the time were known as ARS-57, later renamed to C-5. That´s why APC = ARS.
  2. @tugais It is ok to complain about stuff you think is wrong or that break your gameplay, no problem with that. That´s why I´m here answering such complains and giving timeframes if possible for the problems/bugs to be fixed. However, it is not helpful to bring the issue again and again once no new answer has been given afterward. Also, if you read this thread you will find "developers are evil, they lure people, all they want is money" type of posts, which are far from true. Now, this thread was made to show MiG-23 WIP pics. I need all of you to keep this thread clean from OT. thanks
  3. So, you believe that you were lured? I made clear myself, and I think several times, that the MiG-19S is one thing that I want to do in the future when time is available (after current projects) and that when done it will be free for MiG-19P owners. All this is true and remains the same as when it was written. It was never said that it would come soon or when it will be available because as you may guess, current projects are ongoing. What I did said was that the MiG-19S was to be included as an AI model with the MiG-19P, but unfortunately it was not possible.
  4. Night mode: Flood light: Day mode: Day mode at night:
  5. yeah, I understand No idea why they decided to place it there, really. But as with all ergonomics, some will have no problem and others will.
  6. Sorry, but that´s your opinion then. I heard it and answered, but I don´t agree. As I told before, many that know about this reviewed the cockpit and liked it. You also have real examples presented to you that somehow you don´t think that look alike. You also have two more different cockpit liveries to choose as well, unless you also think that those are not good too.
  7. You know what´s the problem with painted stuff? That after sometime it turns a little hard to know which one is the material below that paint. Maybe you don´t know, but fighter cockpits get really weathered, again, really weathered and the paint get weird characteristics. If I show this part alone. Would you know which material is below the paint? If you tell me you do, sorry if it is hard to believe. Here you have the entire pic from where that part belongs: Another "concrete" cockpit example: Yeah, but that´s a museum/stored piece that is extra weathered, well, here you have one from an operational MiG-23 at the time:
  8. So, just to be sure, In your opinion these textures are Arma 3 modder level and not to the standard DCS requires? If that´s the case I´m sorry that you consider that. These textures were reviewed by several illustrators, photographers and pilots and they considered they were good and it´s why they were included. In any case we will try to improve even more for the MiG-23 so you can like them this time.
  9. Is this an habit? I came to realize that you´re always doubting on these aspects. Is there anything you think is wrong in the MiG-19 to always doubt of how accurate the modeling of systems and flight model will be in the MiG-23? If there´s nothing and accuracy of these aspects has been proved to be right once and again, why still the doubts? I just need to know, that way I can focus on those that care and avoid the people that like to run in endless circles.
  10. MiG-23 development is not stopped.:)
  11. @notproplayer3, the answer to you was originally because you wrote the following: This has nothing to do with the issue being mentioned here and is considered direct bashing of the product without proof. You have all the right to point out the flagrant issues you mention with something to prove why they are wrong in an appropriate thread. If you continue to do this moderation action will be taken. As you can notice by reading my posts, the issue in question pointed out by Tiger-II is being worked and it was acknowledged. thanks for providing a track file, this helps us in finding what the problem may be.
  12. Don´t worry, you´re genuinely presenting an issue that may turn to be an intermittent bug, because after some testing I was not able to replicate it. However, if you can do this again and save a track file, this would be very helpful for us. Also, in the case of the increased G issue we will also check this. thanks I was mostly giving an answer before to those that hurry to trash the flight model without any actual proof.
  13. The issues that appear to some may be related with the navigation system or the radio-altimeter. We are working in this.
  14. At really high altitudes the aircraft may recover by itself with no need to do anything else than just set controls neutral and throttle to IDLE. In case of using the procedure, the stick forward movement must be quick.
  15. Those missiles appear when you select the wrong payload in the mission editor. For some reason they are still available to be selected. The correct selection is R-3S and not K-13 IIRC. Have to check.
  16. Hello Tiger-II, Thanks for the feedback. Last time it was tested the aircraft could not statically reach that altitude while it should be possible to reach in a zoom climb while carefully flying and this is realistic. For us to be able to check the issue could you upload a track file with everything configured as you said? This is with all the external payload and reaching the altitude shown in the screens. Thanks Eagle Dynamics has an strict control over every module quality. There were some cases when modules were still not up to the level of realism required by DCS, but it was always told to the userbase that work was still being made by the developer to fulfill this goal. This is not the case of DCS MiG-19P and it is also why it is an approved quality product by Eagle Dynamics. The charts posted by Ramsay above are just a little example of the level of quality of the aircraft flight model, but there´s also an entire thread in the MiG-19 sub-forum with more data available about the FM, which is not a common sight for other developments. Since that analysis was posted the aircraft FM has improved a lot more and there´re still some new features that will be added to it. As I posted in the flight model discussion months ago, anyone is welcomed to bring more data to the table and prove which aspects of the FM are wrong. Thanks
  17. RD-9B engine quirks will be added as soon as coders have more time to get into the aircraft. The engine is not so affected by AOA or airspeed as it is by negative airflow, too quick movement of the throttles and the time it stays in some regimes.
  18. Thanks for letting us know and we are glad that you like it. Coders work is mostly focused on the first two modules now, but there´s a good list of the remaining issues and bugs with the MiG-19 that will be addressed soon after.
  19. There is enough data regarding R-24 performance, so nothing will be made OP here. This also means it will not be UP either.
  20. I´m not a radio-electronics specialist, but as far as I have read the N003 has external coherence and also uses Doppler filters for special "Doppler modes" of operation. Also, specialists which I have talked to told me that the radar it is in fact a Doppler one, just not as capable as those later present in the 4th gen.
