  1. Which util is this please ??? OT: I have also used the internals of this fine hardware to build a force feedback gearshift unit for sim racing, the damned things are built like a tank, gives a very solid base for such projects. Clicky Thumbnail......
  2. Yes, sadly so, this is what finaly decided me on retaining the standard stick handle, I could not live without the twist rudder. Looked cool tho, with a little soldering and extending of the inner cable I was able to retain full functionality of the Saitek handle. With my version I extended the internal cable and made a new hole in the rear of the MSFF, cable wrapped this to my existing USB output cable to keep things neat, then that fed into the base much the same as yours. Well done for figuring out how to keep the rudder !! I would have kept mine if I had done that bit as well :)
  3. You wont regret it :D:thumbup: The only thing which really annoys me is the lack of software support in XP, under Win98 you could adjust mapping, force strength and a bunch of other things, all things sadly missing under XP, thankfully MOST games come with FF strength sliders, although Lomac does not the FF is pretty much perfectly weighted I think.
  4. Damn those hinds look almost like they could be alien ships from Crysis or Half-life2 on that front profile lol :D
  5. Yer, like most of the AAC guys I guess
  6. Do what I do then :D X45 throttle with my MSFF2 as the flight stick :joystick::D
  7. Im glad im not alone when I found that feature really cool :D
  8. I used to work on both the Gazelle and Lynx, both are fine helicopters, however the Gazelle always made me think it would fall out the air at any moment because the engine always sounded like a bucket of loose bolts lol :pilotfly:
  9. Not entirely true. Whilst there may well be a bug I use my Microsoft Sidewinder FF 2 with no problems, and no problems with trim in any of the aircraft. However, it is true that occasionaly when I start the game my stick will not always intialise properly, thus restarting and removing and reconnecting my stick and starting over again. The MSFF2 is the best FF stick ever made, and likely to be ever made, well over engineered, a good well looked after version should last you years, so dont fear buying a second hand one.
  10. Airwolf would beat the hell out of them all !!!!! :joystick::pilotfly: But I guess realisticaly, That super hind looks awesome, so brutal and old school, typical Soviet of "old" style... Then the AH64D.....
  11. Holy shizzle, thats a lot of choopers lost ! I mean like 26 Apaches, thats more than we have in the British Army in total I believe ??? lol ( been a few years since I served so maybe not ! )
  12. No offence to the original poster, but stupid idea. Let them get on with making the full game, I dont want to steal any of the development time making silly demo's to please impatient people. Have patience people......it will come out soon enough.
  13. I too fell in love with the 25T, especially the FM fidellity and damage model, it just needed to go that extra step with the avionics to really grip you by the balls, seems BS will take that step  Its been a long while since I flew Janes Longbow II , but I seem to remember a reasonable FM with that, certainly more believable than anything I tried in recent years, apart from maybe the Merlin in FSX acceleration, I wont ask how it compares with the Merlin because I think even that is utter garbage compared with my expectations of BS.
  14. Man that preview brings back the memories of the old Gems from the Janes series ( and Falcon 4 etc ), the hours of pressing and turning buttons and reading manuals to achieve the most simple tasks was never short of facinating, I can hardly wait.
  15. wowzers you guys came down hard on Peyoteros :pilotfly:
  16. The trim function in the SU25T combined with the force feedback on my MSFF2 stick works absolutely perfect, no complaints here if we have to use the trim lots on this helo :joystick:
  17. Some investment into how you LOD your models would work wonders IMHO, you could have detail in the foreground and the existing sollution in the background etc......and hopefully at least collidable :smartass:
  18. Is this model near release now then ? :)
  19. Boooooo, thats half the fun, random button pressing till you find the right sequence, I remember with Falcon 4 having many such fun hours clicking away blindly to complete my first ramp up's :megalol::smartass:
  20. Pah, crash my arse, not for a least the first 3 months of owning it, it will take me that long to get the startup procedure correct so I can actually spool the engines and take off :joystick::music_whistling::thumbup:
  21. Seems the Samsung is 8ms and the LG 6ms, that of course depends on whether the tests are both equal, seems there is more than one way of measuring it ! Prices wise the LG seems more expensive in the UK at least....I think the LG is a more modern panel and why its £150 more than the Samsung....
  22. I have absolutely zero issues with lag no matter how fast paced the action :pilotfly:
  23. Well firstly I think viewing distance is very important with a screen this size........fwiw I am sitting around about a 1.25m from my screen. At that distance I have no eye strain or ANY adverse effects from using a HDTV, its every bit as good as my Dell 2407WFP in terms of sharpness, I actually think the colours are better on this HDTV and also the Brightness. Whether im using MS Office or gaming the screen performs perfectly, I have yet to observe any tearing in games or movies either, which was my biggest concern pre purchase of this screen due to the slightly slower refresh rates you used to get on the earlier LCD TV's. I would say that its very important you get a FULL HD screen, 1080p, otherwise your wasting your time, I have a 42inch Plasma in our living room which is 720p running at 1024x768 and its not at all usable for desktop work, for gaming it seems pretty decent however, my PS3 on that screen seems to upscale to 1080i ( not confirmed ) and it looks pretty damn good
  24. Awesomeness  Cant wait for the day thats flyable :joystick:
