Well my story so far is as follows :D Instant action...... First thing I did was try to get into a hover and put it on the deck, so I could buy some time to click around and find things etc, I had reasonable control of things but the final 5 metre drop to the ground was extremely difficult, like an ever changing feeling of a cushion of air below, then I touched down too hard, mashed the blades and ended up on my side :D 2nd, 3rd, and 4th try saw the same :D 5th try I got a nice smooth touch down, however I fear I touched down slightly with the front wheel first, chopper yawed excessively forcing the blades into the ground, end ex.....lol 6th and 7th try the same :D, 8th try I made a good touchdown rear wheels first but shut the throttle too sharp maybe, yawed and killed those freaking blades again lol Anyways I have now managed a couple of landings, with all my blades in tact :D, taking off is bloody hard as well tho :S, you really have to keep on top of things 110% of the time of you just end up losing control in a snap, I can see this is really gonna focus the mind, my first take off and landing in the SU25T was a breeze by comparrison :D, and nothing broken lol Havnt fired a shot yet...........off to read the key guide and see if I can figure out some stuff now, and watch some of the official vids for some pointers in the right direction. BTW, runs much better than LOMAC FC on my system, I think I have everything in HIGH detail, but maybe not, lol, dunny speaky russhan :D

Thanks Repent, all installed and working, just have to configure my HOTAS and figure out the menu options and im good, just waiting for baby to feel sleep and take her nap this morning so I can get started :D I too am looking forward to the boxed english version, will take pride of place on my shelf :)

Dammit I fell at the first hurdle lol....... Tried to register with WM, they never send me the text message despite having the correct number, I have them an SMS 4 times now to different numbers and it still says they never received an SMS from my phone ??? Could it be because im "pay as you go" maybe ? Deeply frustrating this :(

They can say whatever they like, its an offer to purchase not your god given right........I really cannot believe people cannot grasp this, I thought the audience was more mature on these forums, clearly not.

FFS guys you dont have a god given right to this software when you deem your entitled to it, just wait and show some damned respect to the people who are doing their level best to give this product to us. I can only imagine most of the hold ups are publisher/marketing related, given that the beta testers tested this sim also in English I would assume they also tested the missions, training etc and everything else to do with the title which has English links, publishers can be fickle things, no matter what ED want to do they cannot just jump in and do what they please................my bet is this Western Version is ready to rock and roll when circumstances allow, in the mean time we just have to be patient, comprende ? :)

Was actually very good for the time......... I have owned every flight sim worth owning ( and many which were not lol ) since flight sims came out with the exception of the TRS80, as my first computer was a Dragon 32, Followed by a bunch of Spectrums, then Atari St's, then Amigas then into PC land back in the 386 days :D, I skipped the 286's because they were frankly junk compared to what I had on my Amiga at the time :D

Best I can do is .......hmmmmm I junked my original stuff years ago, things like Tornado, EF2000 etc......lol

Trouble with the F16's and F18's is that they have all been done before, I also quite like the sounds of an F111 to go along with that Harrier GR4 and Tornado IDS, good call.......Intruder would also be great, I remember flying the Intruder sim on my Spectrum back in the good old days :D ( yes I know Digital Intergration did the Tornado sim like 15 years ago or something silly ) :) What the hell is that Cosmonaut ??? LMAO

I would suggest the best way would be a fully featured demo but in a small map area, maybe 5km Square or something ?? would be utra simple to implement also, starforce protected to stop people hacking in the full arena.

I for one am glad they have stuck with Starforce, I been using it for years without problems, but then my PC is not setup for ripping music, movies or games......maybe thats why I never had a problem :pilotfly:, anyways nice to see they stuck to their guns on this, most SF haters whine because they do pirate some form of media, and of course because SF is uncrackable by your average home user, good job all round guys :joystick:

Shame we cant have a flyable placeholder SU25T from the last game for a fixed wing fix as part of the BS release, after all the 25T is miles more advanced already than the standard Lomac content and would easily make a bearable placeholder in the company of the more advanced KA50 ?

Why not just simulate it yourself, hit the power button on your monitor whenever the fancy for a nuclear explosion comes to you. Alternatively tho, EMP bombs could be quite cool, shutting down your electrical systems as the blast hits you ( thats assuming the Ka50 has no EMP protection of course )

My memory serves me there is a long outstanding issue with the via chipset and MSFF devices, they released a patch - driver set I believe, but that was for Windows ME/98 I have had no problems with ingame tension etc........ The trim in LO moves the centre position of your stick just like in RL with some of the aircraft, the SU25 in particular.........you always know the trim state of your plane by where you stick handle is centrered. The stick will react to being hit, stalling, landing, fully featured pretty much.
