Still a problem. More than 5 years later.... It is easily fixed with a simple edit to the .LUA file so there is no excuse for this. If for some reason you are actually happy with this crazy sensitivity at least add a ant-elev slow bind. It has nothing to do with realism since in RL this is an absolute analog control. -

You have to align the HMD and activate the countermeasures if you have TGP or HTS you'll have to turn those on as well. -
Why does an offset of a steerpoint affect all waypoints?

The reasoning behind it, as I've understood it, is correcting for INS drift. If you have several pre planned target waypoints you will only have to adjust one of them in the case that they have drifted off. -
I have to push the stick gradually forward as the speed decreases from 250-190 at which point the nose starts dropping and I need to start trimming for on-speed and bring the throttle a little forward to catch the plane from becoming a brick. But it feels natural to me. The plane doesn't balloon as long as I react accordingly.

You can sell unfinished products as early-access because then you get some money up front and the customer will forgive alot. Giving a free trial on an unfinished product is more risky because the customer is much more likely to discard your product and you earn nothing. Especially in DCS where an early access product suddenly becomes unusable after an update. Like the F15E radar thing. Imagine doing the free trial and the module is completely useless.

The way they are landing the vipers super lightly with the the nose held up after touchdown will mean that the force on the wheels will be very light at first and they will easily skid without stressing the landing gear struts too much. As the lift from the wings decreases gradually with the speed the wheels will gradually gain traction and hopefully straighten the plane out. I wonder if it's more important to straighten the plane out when landing a hornet since they tend to come down quite hard meaning the tires will have a lot of grip initally. -

Read my post above. You can create markpoints with the helmet that you can then slew the TGP to. It's a few extra clicks compared to VIS mode but it's not difficult. This works in NAV mode. -

I believe you can use the markpoint function. Click the mark button on the ICP(7 IIRC). Seq button and choos HUD. Now you can do TMS up long to activate the HMD. Look at your target, tms up twice and you've created a markpoint. -

I have found a purpose for this "feature". If you are going to attack preprogrammed targets. Say you enter the coordinates for 4 targets from the F10 map. When you get within range and select the steerpoints they will likely be off by a certain offset. You can see this on your TGP. If you then slew the tgp so that it's pointing at the first target this will create a offset that will make it so that the next 3 targets are correct. So you only need to correct for the first one. Then you can ripple of your JDAMS quickly. -
It's not a problem if you do it correctly. I don't know what's realistic. But if you follow the advice in the posts above you will do fine.

Still seems a little squirelly after raising gears on take-off below 300kts. Need to be very carefull with lateral stick inputs or it starts yawing a lot. Massive improvement though.

If you want to find targets of oportunity like you describe doing in the F15 then you should use VIS/DTOS mode like you say. In those modes it will do largely what you want. You can designate with the HUD or HMD(as long as the hud is SOI,TMS-UP long to make the HMD SOI) and you can slew with the TGP when it is SOI. Knowing both aircraft In my opinion the F16 shouldn't be harder to use. TMS-Aft while the HUD is SOI will boresight the designator in DTOS/VIS mode. TMS-Aft while TGP is SOI will send the TGP back to the point you designated with the HUD(IIRC) The plane should Autolase by default as long as you have armed the laser. If not you can manually lase with half-pull trigger. Laser options can be found by clicking the LIST button on the ICP and then 5(I think, if not it should be apparent which number you want to press). You can select auto or manual lase and how long it will autolase there. CCRP/PRE modes are for when you have a steerpoint near or on the target. Personally I find snowplow mode largely unnecessary except maybe for the A-G radar.
