I just make some layout of cockpit panels. For now just two but i will upload rest of panels. Sorry for poor quality. Pilot from higher cockpit is a commander pilot and he capability firing unguidet rockets and gunpods. Pilot from lower cockpit is WO and capability firing guided rocket and front turret gun JakB-12,7. If WO is wounded or something pilot commander can use the front gun. He need switch gun in fixed position in the line of fusalage. -

pedals not necessary out of ground effect?
CYGAN apa.sq replied to aledmb's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
Did You notice that you pull the collective three times to 50% torque value on 1-2 second and fourth time when you pull was on 70% more then 2 second? Thats the diffriend! It's delay matter. If you pull collective at 70% torque more then 2 second at high altitude during decend (same like on your vid) will see that you need rudder to counteract. Every things is ok with FM. -
Check this triple time, my friend as co-pilot have the same. Also in single payer when switch to gunner work ok with firing.
-
You can move the gun but can't firing even if "master arm" is ON.

Have same problem CHRISXTR3M3

In Q&A You wrote about civilian version or simply without weapon syst. How it looks like on Your work timeline.

Correct .... hover or straight and level flight ...and on the ground. But like A16 said in practise is almost never use.

Defult rotor speed is 95% and during engine speed re-adjutsment control and flight can be perform to down from defult - 89 - 93% and up - 96 - 99%. For exemple You can also adjust RPM rotor befor takeoff and landing by increase rpm a little bit to prevent drop them when You are heavy load and /or your engines don't have enought power depand on altitude (ex. Afghanistan) or they quite worn. This doesn't mean that you not need worry .... it still be carefull about rotor rpm becouse wrong calculate ladning path and to much and rapid movements on stick and collective make drop rotor speed and short way down. But also you must remember that you can't adjust during advanced manouvers like during display flight (sorry ... my english could't better explain). This is all for Mi-24 but they have the same engines system so if something is different on Mi-17 A16 please correct me.

Thanks. I could make more viedo's but only about Mi-24 or Mi-2 . Unfortunately there's more differences then similars between Mi-17 and Mi-24 . But if somthing will be good to show in topic about Mi-17 I will do that.

Today during maintance I made short and simple vid about movement of main rotor hub with swashplate. Like i said is the same like on Mi-24 so I thought it may be intresting for You.

You can try in US. Custom , they flying on UH-1 :) One day in 2011 in Ghazni i saw formation of six of them . They landing to refuel.... what a sight!!! I was during run to QRF so I don't have time to take any photos . I found one here http://www.airliners.net/photo/Untitled-(US-Department/Bell-UH-1H-Huey/1196466/L/&sid=1dc2215d2f63577eadf80988cff01601

Damn, that's why i've never get occasion to see your's Mi-17's during my deploy in Afghanistan in 2011 :D Pay good attetion what Alpha One Six give about Mi-17 becouse if Belsimtek Hind will come true one day You will have shorter way to learn Mi-24. They have many similar or same systems or parts like main rotor hub for example. For now i can't wait Mi-17 too.

It is depand on technology. In Ka-50 it look's like we schould't hear any clicking ..... propably it works smooth (meaby... i'm not working on Ka-50 ) But you can check on the video how it work on Mi-24 : http://www.zshare.net/download/644912691d211786/ or http://hostuje.net/file.php?id=79275...6545a8c696152c Even if collective brake will clicking it difficult to hear when the engines run. On mi-24 you can be sure that you can't hear any sound of trimm clicking ....it is too loud. Meaby on others helicopters you be able to hear that but it depand on distance between cockpit and engines.

To Force Feedback or Not...
CYGAN apa.sq replied to EinsteinEP's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It's dependant.I used two joystic with FF and one without FF. Without FF it is little bit diffcult i think. With FF dependant from quality of joystick . Saitek cyborg 3D and Microsoft SideWinder FF pro .In my personal opinion Microsoft product is most proximate to how real trim will work.Saitek during trimming when you relase trimm button is kicking .In result player can't trimm not precisely .I think this fault of spring force keepeing middle position of stick .I tried disable but without this is not working properly either. -
But make a flight in one crew on one helicopter would be great ... if this option will be made in DCS (we will see when AH-64 release). I able to understand how many of us have diffriend point of view about next airframe in DCS . But Mi-24 is still in serve and use in local conflicts, hind could be very nice choose in mission or campaign scenario .Also it's very famous chopper , i think no one be disappoint if ED decide to take hind on list : "TO RELEAESE" . That will be really great .But we will see.
-
That's right Yo-Yo ...i'm not specialist about Ka-50 but You don't undarstand me .... i give example . If you separate tail in-flight from airframe with explosive bolts (like NamenlosEin wrote) that's ok ....but if lost it by missile hit , AA gun or hit the grund I suppose flying in this situation could be very difficult .If fire will be onboard there is possibility to explosion becouse fire could penetrate deep in, pilot will take decission to eject . Like i said this is example becouse very difficult judge what will be happen during accident ,not test flight when You prepare airframe to this put in explosive bolts in right place.Depend in which position and altitude chopper is during hit even if normally could be controlable when you are to low or high bank angle you 'll not recover horizontal flight on time. Yeah hydraulic and fuel syst. was't good idea .......
-
Havner , it's depend how you look on this simulation :)....but in real life this situation i guarantee you in 90% that you are crash .I mean ,if you lost tail hydraulic and fuel system will be enought demage and make imposible to controlable whole chopper to fly or safe landing.
