  1. Hi 2 days ago, I've launch DCS without seeing that the oculus software was stopped. Waiting the start of DCS, I've launched the Oculus Software. DCS started normally some seconds later but since, I can't use the function center VR view in DCS, except during the first loading cursor before the main menu page. I think that surely, a file to delete is enough to fix the issue, but I don't know which ?
  2. Already many posts about that. Lot of mods aren't compatible anymore in 2.5.5. Worst: Using them in a mission can affect the cockpit shadows.
  3. I've solved the issue It was the W10's firewall fault DCS.exe was blocked by defender to acces to the web. So I could go out. I've desactivated temporally the firewalll and all worked fine after. As I launch my DCS by launching DCS.exe and not update.exe. If someone knows how specifying to the W10 integrated firewall to allow a specific program to go on line ?
  4. But I have still an issue: I had the Release and the beta in a offline mode. I can't switch on on line mode. So I've executed the .reg ( execpt persian gulf and F-14 that I can't find) but I can't switch online to reactivate.
  5. Thanks to you. I will do immediatly but I can't find the .reg for the Hormuz map
  6. HI After the switch of the Oculus Software in W10 only, I've made the switch to W10 and DCS don't want to run. It just accepts the free modules. Help needed from ED !
  7. I'ts a good thing that you aren't a fighter pilot in the real life !
  8. Ah? The Christen Eagle is a military aircraft now ? And you know as me that flight models in FSX or P3D are unrealistics, especially for the helicopters. That's why I use DCS. I have P3D V4.5. I have great sceneries ORBX with plenty of details, some landscapes are absolutly wonderful but when I use it, I'm annoying, it's too simple, the aircraft ( except some liners in payware very advanced) are acting like toys. I'm piloting a Cessna 172 in the real life and even the payware C172 from the A2A editor, for P3D, isn't realistic compared to the real. With DCS, even if it's not all the world covered, even if some summit ridges are from an other age of the simulation, the flight models seem to be realistic and, despite these ridges in mountains, the landscape and especially the vegetation are very-well made. After that, if you suppose that one day, ED will do a civil asset pack( honestly I would be very surprised ), nothing forces you to buy it, if you want to stay military by hook or by crook. But with this kind of pack, I will be sure that it will be updated too.
  9. As I said 4 messages above, I believed that updating a mod take only few minutes. I thought that the big work was only to create a mod and not updating it. Now for the rest, I stay on my position: From now on, I will hesitate to use a mod, knowing I have the risk it will be unusable one day. Now I use this thread to say again to ED that a paying asset pack with civilian stuffs would be welcome. I repeat: I would be ready to buy !
  10. I don't want to loose nobody and we agree that this thread is only about mods adding objects and vehicles in the library. All mods enhancing DCS graphics or terrain or sounds or cockpits aren't concerned by this thread. Why? Because they needn't a work from users after and if one day, they wern't updated, that will only return DCS to its graphics, terrain or sound by defaut.
  11. I just had some explanations by Dimitriov. Honestly, I thought that updating a mod with the new plugins standards given by ED, was a few minutes affair. That's why I didn't understand that mods weren't updated. On a french site, in our language, Dimitriov has just explained me that updating a mod wasn't a few minutes affair but needed some hours of work, even if the moder own the models. I thought that only the creation of a model needed a big work and not the updating. Now, I feel drastically less enthusiastic to use, in my missions, the mods which I'm not sure to have an update following DCS updates but the official library of ED is so poor....
  12. Have I said somewhere that ED is reponsible of mods not working anymore ? Have I said somewhere that ED would stop to upgrade DCS ?
  13. As I said, sharing a mod isnt't obligatory at all. You don't want to share the mods you're making with others, it's your absolute right and no one can say nothing about. But what will happen after the bad experience of the 2.5.5 switch? Surely that many people will think that it's useless to download mods anymore since they risk to not working one day and crashing down hours and hours of work to built missions. That's what happened for me with the 2.5.5 and even if Dimitriov had gently made some items to replace some Ranger pack items, I spent hours and hours to try to correct the missions I've made. Nobody is forced to share a mod but if you do it, think a little to people using these mods. You're working hard to make a mod, I'm absolutly aware about that, but people using it can work hardly too to elaborate triggers and sophisticated missions using your mods. If you share it, and have no intentions to update, and that you don't want to share your models with the community, just say that the MAJ for the future versions of DCS will not be supported and I will not download the mod to not have a bad surprise later. Read the forum and see how many users are complaining with mods not working anymore since the 2.5.5. It's available for the mods using objects or planes. I don't speak about terrain mods like Mustang's mod. This kind of mod don't involve user's work, just a big big work for the modder. If, one day, it doesn't work anymore, it will not crash down hours and hours of building missions for the users. Dimitriov, see C6, the topic about F1. I don't absolutly minimize the work of a modder. Especially your work and you give us, tons of hapiness using your mods. All that I want to say is that modders must be aware that not following the updates of DCS can make a mod unuseful involving the lost of hours of work downstream your work. It's like if someone offers a present but say that you willn't can use this present anymore in some months.
  14. I'd never said that. It's just an ascertainment. It's little hard to say and certainly, some will surely think that I exagerate but when you create a mod and you share it with others by kindness and altruism and you receive lot of congratulations and thanks. Somewhere you feel pride when you see that your work is used intensivly by others and that means that you've done a good work. But you must think that if people are using your work and spending (a lot of) time to built missions using your work, you have henceforth the duty to maintain it updated. If you havn't time anymore or planned impossibility or the willingness to update your work for any good reason, this could be a question of respect to others, to share your models with the community to allow other devs to update the mods you'd created and that you can't update yourself anymore.
  15. Hi The recent switch in 2.5.5 has shown us how mods could be become obsolete in just one update of DCS. Some of authors have updated their mods to be usable in 2.5.5, some others had the kindness to take time to create mods to replace the objects that are no longer working in 2.5.5,( Dimitriov :smilewink: ) but despite that, we have today many objects that are not working anymore and their authors havn't given sign of life since months or years. Ok, all their work is absolutly free and they gave us their work just with kindness. But today, we all can see that the user's file section become poorer and poorer. Just now skins and missions, sometimes sounds and rarely mods are published today in this section. If we want to be aware of the new mods, we have to come on this part of the forum. And we can see that authors like Ranger79, Joe-Rowe, Uputaut, Hawkeye60, Grinnelli.... and all these persons having given, only by kindness, the possibility to enhance a lot DCS with items giving life in our missions, aren't present here anymore despite the fact that many people like me are using intensively their mods in the missions we're building. So, what will happen if the future 2.5.6 make these mods unusable ? I fear for the future !
  16. +1 No HOTAS keyboard possibility in open beta for the M2000. Back to the release version of DCS.
  17. You have a new version in the user's file section.
  18. The issue is fixed in the beta
  19. Hi I try to use russians AA, russians urnarmed and russians armored in the ME and it's totally impossible, even if I choose Russia the the dialog box, I just can have US materials. On an already existing mission, these russians vehicles or armored are working properly. I've tried to delete all my unofficial mods but it's the same.
  20. Eagle01, in fact it's very strange. When I've put the VP-men in natoGF, all became quite normal. So: Thanks to you ! The only issue I have: If I use the VPC-Airfield-equipment in a mission, I havn't the cockpit shadows anymore in some modules ( L39, Yak 52). It's quite strange.
  21. You're right That works now ! Thanks ! But what is the line causing the issue in the autoexec.cfg ?
  22. HI I've updated my release yesterday and I havn't anymore the communications menu with M2000 or L-39. With the M2000 I can't ask to remove the wheel choks since I havn't menu What are the new affectations ?
  23. Thanks for the help but I don't understand what you mean. I've already overwriten the VP-men edm files in main\shapes\. I havn't a VP-MAN forlder in tech\ in addition to the "main" folder. Thanks !
  24. Hi everybody I'm coming back from a little travel and the good new: The issue with some items of the VPC Airfield equipment has been fixed by VOC. Big Thanks to you VOC but I still have the issue with the VP-Men ( check, idle...)
  25. Encore merci à toi White-Sky !
