Eurpean thatre : Normandy Approrpiate Bf109?
rogonaut replied to Kev2go's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Fix the bug and i wont buy anything anymore rant is so boring... There is no perfect software, i like dcs for what it is. Everything could be better in this world. We are all humans and there are limits, i think there doing their very best. Show some respect for the great stuff they made so far and u guys well get respected too. -

sure a night fighter variant would be cool. just having some kind of equivalent for the mossie is what i would prefer over a Ta-152... dont matter much to me if it wasnt that profficient in the war. having an axis multirole aircraft would be pretty cool for mission design in generall. the lack of bombers is a problem too in my opinion. -

i think we need something like a bf 110 more than a very rare höhen jäger... still i wouldn´t mind flying it, it surely is awesome but it would also call for some late war allied planes which none exist atm. so the ta-152 h is really being developed? -
anyone else having problems with this? have updated target software and hotas and mfd drivers and when i launch my target gui to setup up the leds it just wont launch. It works when the controllers are disconnect, reconnecting after launch doesnt help either. tried one buy one on usb 2.0 only didnt help either. seems to me that some windows 10 update in the past screwed the programm. thx for any advice, rog

biggest gripes with flying offline
rogonaut replied to birdstrike's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
This is also my main gripe, ai following player and the sharp shooting. +1 -
it seems to me likely that pilot reports do count to some extend and underline the "true" flight characteristics of mentioned planes, and that´s the interesting part for me. Are they all a bunch of liers or have some dementia going on?^^ Are there any pilot reports that opposition the flight characteristics mentioned by the ones who WoA found? Also there are a lot of them ww 2 birds that are actively flying so shouldn´t be too hard to find out... unfortunatly it seems there isnt a lot of data that would translate nicely into dcs and give proof to concept. guess thats a show stopper right there. guess this thread has been hijacked xD

it doesnt seem like a complain to me. its a rather interesting find and he might be on to something which if correct would be rather huge for all the WW2 birds not only in our beloved DCS. i am really curious to say the least, it would change all i know about these airplanes and their strenghts. i am in no way profound in aerodynamics or anything related.

didnt read all the posts so maybe this has been answered already. release should be till the end of winter if i remember correctly. i wouldnt worry too much about the early access, heatblur is one of the best third party dev teams and they´ll deliver quality no questions asked. also consider, this bird is coming to you in early access as almost feature complete.

I read somewhere that nineline answered the free map wont be a ww2 one. Could be mistaken tho

Am I the only one disappointed in DCS World Multiplayer?
rogonaut replied to tyleru7d894's topic in Multiplayer
the most fun and immersion is definitely flying with friends in multiplayer coop or as a whole team on blueflag for example. Nothing beats flying with different aircraft and their tasks as a team to achieve victory. SRS, ATC, a good GCI or Commander and everyone working together. if once experienced u will know, and most likely you will make new buddies to fly with which is great too. how´s it like to play in the sandpit all by yourself :) -

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
rogonaut replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
its really hard to compare an a-10c to ww2 birds in the first place. navigation is not complicated in ww 2 planes, just looking out the window basically... TO and L are definatly harder but that´s the fun of it i think. engine management in the german planes is fairly simple actually, just watch the temperature gauges and watch your rpm´s. i dont have lots of flying hours in the mustang so i cant really tell, tho i never had problems. is that really so demanding? anyhow i think i get what your trying to say, have fun flying -
its reported, thx nineline!

Thougt the same as the op. Would like to see more focus on ai planes, towed artillary we can destroy and naval units of the third reich. Thx!
-
Ed built 4 planes and another 4 to come not to mention the ai aircarft, only 1 coming from third party. I dont see the plan that others than ed should build the planes. Free stuff is always great, but we live in the money world...

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
rogonaut replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Management of ww2 birds are pretty straight forward. For a newbie an a10c is overwhelming, but a ww2 bird not so much. -
gonna check that out, thx I did borrow a rift and managed quite okay with my r9 290, it didn´t look that bad actually thanks to kegeteys shader mod. the rifts resolution isn´t that great and so it didn´t bother me to tune down a couple of things, the immersion gained was worth it. I turned ASW on and depending on the workload i managed to hold 45 fps. so i do think a 580 would help me out here, besides as u say they are pretty cheap. If i sell my old one it should be a rather non expencive endeavour ;)

First of all thx everybody for taking the time. It´s a hard choice between the two thats for sure. My system is currently at the very edge of being able to run DCS in VR with an OR. I would like to buy one in the near future and a GPU that can somewhat handle it. Gonna wait a bit longer and see how the prices evolve :) cheers, rog

@fragbum, no worries we all do that from time to time^^ Budget is tight and im trying to get the best bang for the buck. Asus rog strix gtx 1060 6gb Vs. Asus rx 580 8gb currently have r9 290 and want one of the above :) cant afford a 1070 atm
