SLI Problems in 1.5 I tried several different options today. I started out by turning off NVidia shadowplay and using the in-game FPS monitor. I had everything set to "high." My settings for the benchmark were taking off from Batumi on the default time and weather settings. I looked out of my right side most of the time. As soon as I was airborne I banked right and leveled off headed 060 right over the city and the forest. I jacked the AA all the way up to "16Q" and turned HDR on. I also turned the HDR off and ran AA at 2x. With the HDR off and AA set to "2x" I dipped into the low 30s. With AA maxed out (16Q) and HDR on, I hovered in the 40s and mid 30s. Yes, you read that correctly, my performance was higher with the settings maxed. On takeoff I averaged approx 33 with lower settings, 40 with higher settings. When hovering over the city and continuing on course with heading 060, I actually hit 29 FPS for a second when I was using the low settings. My rig: I73820 16GB DDR3 2X 970 SLI Turning SLI on or off had zero effect on frames. I ran both tests with AA and HDR high and low and the results were identical. Oculus Rift and DCS World Discussion You never mentioned that you knew that. Since the track IR statement you made was relative to head tracking in general, it warranted my response. I've been using track IR5 for about 5 years and have used it in 5 different rooms (nice little trend there) and I've ran into minor "light interference" on one occasion. Perhaps it's more user error in your circumstance? I'd "reread" the directions. Or maybe I'd "reread" my own comments. Or maybe I'd replace my blinds with thicker ones. Low GPU and CPU usage but LOW FPS also...why? I'm having the same issues with 2 970s in the same area on the map. Port cities with high density have been killing me. I agree with everybody that this is very annoying. One thing I've seen mentioned a lot is the smoke and clouds. The older smoke and clouds have not transferred to the new engine well and supposedly cause massive frame dips. If you look over cities you can see multiple smoke stacks throughout. Additionally, we're still in the beta/alpha stage of all of this. I think that once we get our finite release we're going to see more airframes at a more robust pace. We'll enjoy SLI, and I think our frames will go up too. Simulators always seem to lag the market in terms of frame rate. Hell, I downloaded Xplane 10 briefly and my frame rates were deplorable and that's an industry tool.

Under "3D settings" in NV control panel I click "show SLI indicator." On Mechwarrior I get an indicator, on DCS 1.5.2 I do not. FYI. 2 GTX 970s. Disappointing but I know it's only in beta. Flaming Cliffs 4 ED and 3rd party developers do a great job, obviously. However, if people are so worried about the rate in which aircraft are released, perhaps we should be doing the legwork and helping out. Our community could petition other talented developers that currently create airframes for other platforms that are inferior to DCS. In my humble opinion, we have a smaller fan base community than other gaming communities. However, I feel like we have a lot more professionals that engage in this community and to be blunt, we're more than likely a lot more intelligent than most other gaming communities. I'm very confident in stating that we could easily lobby other 3rd parties to get involved. If 30 people email one company, they can tell us "no" but it could potentially pursued them to jump on board.
