  1. Great job picking up the pieces, guys. This is such an important project for third parties in general! I will be ready to purchase on release to support your work. You deserve it, enough said.
  2. I'm sure it's an excellent platform, but I'm not sure I would rank it higher than a modernized F-16. As always, it depends on much more than just the aircraft.
  3.
  4. Wow, that would be a big contract.
  5. Not sure what you're looking for here, you already know the answer.
  6. That's still considered a ramp. The Tomcat had similar configuration, for example. Fixed exterior inlet geometry, but with 3 internal ramps designed to divert/block airflow to prevent compressor stalls or shock impingement.
  7. This is a great point. Did you make it?
  8. Nice, Namelos Ein. HUD video of the Legacy Hornet landing in ACL is pretty rare.
  9. Based on the explosion of development seen in that area, I imagine it's a pretty neat piece of technology. If the camera coverage is complete, I'm sure available processing power is more than sufficient to handle the data. How the pilot uses that data, as always, is up to the pilot.
  10. ...What.
  11. Wrong. Although that is true to some extent, the jet core cools rapidly and is wrapped in cooler bypass air. The engine exhaust nozzle surface will be far, far brighter.... and the goal is not elimination of IR signature, just reduction.
  12. Not sure how else to describe it, Pilotasso. Lower visible surface area of the strongest IR emission on the airplane.
  13. Last I heard about it, IK was not supported in EDM. Sounds like RedBeard might know something I don't though, so I'm interested to hear if baking (not burning, Blaze :P) the animations is necessary.
  14. The Raptor's design cuts the visible area of the immediate exhaust by ~30-40% from directly aft, and by a huge amount when viewed from a small off-angle. That could be a significant difference in rear-hemisphere detection. I could imagine IR acquisition denial or delay as well, which could mean the difference between death or a fighting chance when talking about a high HCA/AOT IR missile shot. Great selection of pictures, though, Weta43.
  15. CH products don't have the best movement, but they're built tough and designed well. I'm replacing the pots in my 6 year old CH throttle and pedals today, still going strong.
  16. Very, very nicely done, RedBeard. Thank you!
  17. A few quick searches would have found you the answer. This should get you started: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1606628&postcount=33
  18. Just slow down a little. ;) This is also in the wrong forum section.
  19. Wow, that's news! Last I checked it was not possible to export LSA3...
  20. How about when they're done?
  21. There was no need to make another thread to ask if this was possible, Uriah. At this time, it is not. (Per my post.) If you want to learn more about EDGE, do some searching of Wags posts and posts from RRG Studios.
  22. It's not, not right now. I hope everyone realizes that before they have unrealistic expectations. Uriah has elevation and texture data and is working on a terrain mesh. That's very good, but unfortunately it's a far cry from having it in the simulator, and as of now it is not possible to create terrain for DCS.
  23. Good start. Think long-term though, who knows how long it will be before an EDGE SDK is released.
