A. you need to check that sucker, CHECK the fan is running, might have to reapply thermal paste, and Look at buying an aftermarket cooler depending on your case there are MANY options from 20$ to 80$ that will improve your problem. as for your video cards suggest maby a program called CLOCKBLOCKER which will force 3d clocks when gaming so they dont jump all over, this normally gets me 10FPS, you realize you have to ALT+ENT to get crossfire to even work this can be varified on MSI when both GPU's useage match eachother.

so you bought a 1080 and you still running a 4 year old 2600k.:dunno: i'll tell you right now your HDD is your issue. i have even seen people have this issue with SSD's and change to different ones and they work fine. i own a mother board "asrock extreme 4 gen 3" that actualy has a extra molex connector on the MB to supply extra power to the PCI-E for dual card setups, never had it pluged in and still ran 2x 6950's with out a problem.

depending on your case you should use an after market cooler if you are going to overclock the intel ones are not good. personaly i use a Cheap coolermaster hyper 212. monitor your temps, and make sure you turn the IGPU off in the bios if it is on.

well DCS isnt just about video card, you should be able to keep above 45FPS with a good system. CPU/RAM/SSD have alot to do with FPS and DCS.
