You cannot contact gci or awacs in ka-50. I think every helo shoul beable to talk to awacs/gci for no other reason than for SA. We want to know when to hide.

There is. Manual ASP mode or use fixed net. Of course you will need planty of trial and error tofind the correct settings.

While the current flight model may not be 100% realistc and still needs some tuning it is much better than what we used to have. Plane at least feels like a delta now. I woul not want to see the return to 1.5 days.

I've heard that in DCS 29A and 29S have the same radar strength. I haven't tested this so treat it as a rumour. If it's true it would be gret if 29S radar was improved. 29S radar wasn't a huge improvement over 29A though. I think the improvement is no greater than 10 km in a look-up head on aspect. Not sure abou target size. So I may not be seeing the difference.

Just want to confirm that one year later this bug is still around. I'm not sure if this is a NS 430 bug or Mig-21 bug though. I'm leaning towards the later.

I dont think DCS is capable of anything beyond basic on/off and red/blue IFF function atm.

That inplies that R-60M was not capable of achieving a head on lock. This is useful data. I would as however why is 4/4 90° angle. Does that imply that rear aspect missiles are 5/4 6/4 7/4 and 8/4? Or doI just hace the morning dumb?

I too would welcome a study level MiG-29. That being said I don't think we will be seeing one in a while. Current focus is on US aircraft and I think it will stay that way until ED runs out of iconic US aircraft to make. We woll peobablybe seein at least an F4 from them before we even get any hints about a remot possibility of making a full fidelity red aircraft. After that, hower I do think we will be seeing something from redfor.

Here's my opinion with absolutely no hard data to cover it, but comparing to how many times I've hit with R-73 with how many times I've been hit by AIM-9X I'd say the 9X is pretty damn hard to dodge while R-73 eats flares for breakfast. But I reiterate that is just my subjective feeling based on my experience.

I'll say, regardless of the state of MiG-21 it's good to see posts from devs that show this module hasn't been forgotten. I hope you guys get your hands on more codersthough. If it's just one guy we may have to wait aling time for those fixes.

R-60 is a pretty small missile. From my experience it's ability to kill is a lot more susceptible to how and where it hits the target. I've taken down F-15s with one missile, but I've also seen what you are showing in the video.

In case this was missed (I know you guys are concentrating on CE2 and MAC support), currently the back lights for instruments are broken. They only work for barometer.

Looking back at the event I don't think that the positions of the airfields were too horrible. Yea it was on the very edge of the MiG-29S operational range, but that made it much more interesting. Unfortunately this isn't an ideal environment for merges as fuel consumption skyrockets in those, but I don't think merges are impossible if both aircraft take off simultaneously. This was, in my opinion, the main factor why the match looked boring. I'd like to see this event again under same rules but with both aircraft taking off simultaneously. Also F-15C vs J-11 with the same airfields would be awesome. That way I'm guess we'd see more merges and creeping, and less BVR.

This has come up several times before. Unfortunately there is no data on exactly how "limited" is that all aspect capability. Also the name of the feature itself (being all-aspect and not side aspect or rear aspect) kinda denotes that the missile is indeed capable of locking form the front (in some limited fashion). Thus, because people kept asking R-60M has been given a short-range head lock.

It's not the best video quality, but it shows the issue well.

Contnuos/intermitend Jamming does seem to work from my tests, but I have no idea what the difference between active/passive is, what the program buttons do and I can never get the thing to dispense flares automatically. A guide on this would be very useful.
