Hi, I was told by a French M-2000c pilot that they usualy put the nose wheel down around 110-115 kts otherwise the engine would touch the runway and you could smash the nose wheel trying harder to put the nose down. The current behavior seems to match with the pilot's statement.

Not one of the examples you provided shown the point of view of the picture I gave as an example. So yes if you don'the look in front of it, the multiple layers of particules makes it brighter. Same point of view with Rafale would have an identical AB effect.
-
Hi, Here is a picture of Rafale's afterburner, you can clearly see the inside of the engine.
-
This would be true only if the camera is very close to light source, otherwise it shouldn't.

No Frederf, you have to disengage the AP yourself before refueling. You want to use the AP to TRIM the aircraft before refueling but the actual AP is buggy and might not help you at all.
-
Hi CptSmiley, Multiple issues with the AP in the last stable version. AP Attitude hold doesn't keep the desired pitch or bank angle when you use the AP Standby Switch. With asymmetric payload, the FBW doesn't auto compensate/TRIM the aircraft properly. AP Altitude hold still bounce like in Harke's video. The aircraft tend to pitch up by itself all the time without the AP. Hope you'll find and fix these issues. Cheers,

When landing you should aerobrake until 110 kts. At this speed you want to push gentilly the nose down to avoid striking your engine. If you do it right, you won't touch the runway with the engine and you won't smash the nose wheel. The aircraft gravity center is located around the main gear and the engine is heavy causing scratches on the rear fuselage. :smilewink: Then with the three points on the ground, use the wheel brakes or the parachute.

The feature will come then.

One more thing, Don't know if it's already implemented but the braking is suppose to be automatically handled by the aircraft. You just have to squeeze the pedals and the SPAD (AntiSKID system) should manage braking to avoid drifting while keeping automatically the aircraft on the centerline. Braking is supposed to work only if the two main gears and the nose wheel have weight on them. So first Airbraking using airbrakes and by keeping the nose up when you touch the ground until you reach 110 kts. Then softly push the nose down, then use the brakes. In fact with SPAD you could squeeze the brake pedals while in final approach, the aircraft will not brakes until the three points touch the ground. Cheers

Hi slundal, Thanks for the tuts  Just a small precision here, Mirage 2000c uses AoA approch and not Speed approach. You should not give any information about the aircraft speed during landing. Landing speed will drastically change with the aircraft weight. All you have to do is keeping the chevrons between the brackets (14° AoA) and flare/speed up at the end. At 14° AoA, you are at the correct speed regarding your current weight. Cheers

Sorry guys but M-2000C RDI doesn't have A/G radar features. Only Antilope V radar has.
-
Az' you're right, my bad!
-
I am pretty sure Su-27 & Su-33 have the same radar in FC3 anb I know for sure the MiG-29 radar is smaller and have a smaller range than its Sukhoi counterpart in FC3. A RWR should see a difference between them.

Yes, the M-2000c roll under idle power. The Handbrake issue is a bug. No doute Razbam will take care of it.

Keyboard/Joystick Default Input Fix / Proposition
3rd Wing - Raiden replied to sedenion's topic in M-2000
Like you lock the target on and the camera view automatically slew to keep the target centered in the frame? -
If by comm1 and comm2 you refer to a switch on the left panel, then no I wasn't talking about them. In the key binding option menu you will find two lines called "Main UHF radio" & "Auxiliary V/UHF radio" IIRC. You'll find the appropriate keyboard shortcuts there. Next you have to select one of them with the shortcut (you can bind them to your joystick/throttle) to talk to your wingman. Not sure if it works only with the main radio aka UHF or also with the aux radio. Anyway, your wingman should copy your orders if he get them.

Keyboard/Joystick Default Input Fix / Proposition
3rd Wing - Raiden replied to sedenion's topic in M-2000
Hi Sedenion, Impressive work here! Would you be kind enough to quickly explain what is the Padlock view? Thanks, -
If you are not using easy comms, you have to select a radio first before giving orders to your wingman.

Midair contact damage model might need some tuning. In my past experiences with the Mirage, I never managed to bring the aircraft back after a missile hit (A/A missiles nor SAM). Usualy, control systems are down & engine not responding. I was lucky once or twice to survive gun damages but that's all. Damage model & damage visual are two different things and they may not be perfectely sync right now. Also, as jojo imply, direct hit and proximity blast damage have not the same effect on airframe integrity. You cannot throw a "not enoug" (©Ktulu2) like that, you have to provide tangible data, like a tacview ACMI or a DCS Track to build your pitch on.
-
Not 100% sure. But pretty much. I'll let wiser and more informed guys like Jojo or Azrayen answer to that. edit: Half sniped !

When Air-to-Ground will be completed, the manual will probably be updated with the release envelope parameters for the unguided ordinance.

Air-to-Ground gun pipper is still WIP.

My apologies for my cynical comment. Here is a more elaborated comment: I totally get what you mean. I think your point of view is biaised by the fact that you only play on public servers, where there is no rules other than take off, spamraam a few targets, get killed and start over. I am not trying to judge but open servers looks like Call of Duty servers to me. When you play private missions, with limited ROE, limited weapons, limited respawn rules, with a real scenario, a mission objective, your flight objective (which can diverge from the mission objective, or can only be there for anotehr flight to complete its mission) you get in a totally different world where "the game is more interesting by allowing some manoeuvers, close combats, introducing the decisive question about how to prevent wasting your weapons... Much more interesting things than "target lock, missile launch, Boom!, RTB"." And this is even better when the "game is not balanced" because you have an aircraft with limited capabilities and you have to deal with it. You got friends to help you over, you got human control to get you out of this ambush you didn't see coming, etc. With balanced gameplay, the "game" would be flat, boring and tasteless. Now ED decided to build a simulator, that means : do it as close to the real thing as possible. It's the editor's choice and 3rd parties tend to follow this path. The real deal here is what do I need to play casual? What do I need to play hardcore? I think the answer lays in the hands of the mission maker. What did you say about belief, it's hard to debate.
-
Unfortunately, the software's name is DCS and not DCG (troll inside sorry). There is plenty of other softwares (with planes in it) that make "balanced gameplay" a major feature. But as you said, it's all a matter of belief.

Mirage 2000 digest: read this if you aren't clear on what it is/does!
3rd Wing - Raiden replied to Azrayen's topic in M-2000
In short, Mirage 2000D will be updated in 2019 to adapt its performances to modern conflics. The update will include canon capability. The same canon M2000C has. Right now the 2000D is not canon capable. Magics willa be replaced by MICA IR.
