  1. Just to say that I was 100% against this mandatory online mode and my position was not to buy any new product as long as this DRM was existing. Now that ED has heard its customers and did the offline mode, I play the game on my side and I just bought the futur F18 module. You heard us customers, I buy your product again. Thanks
  2. As per last update info : "We are also implementing a new Offline mode to allow you to play DCS World 2.5 without any requirement for an internet connection." Great, thank you guys. Definitly, that was a mandatory point for me to buy another DCS product and specifically the futur F18 module. So, I will buy it then.
  3. Hi All, I did another test. It seems that there is something link to the GPU in the stuttering. Check this sreenshot : https://zupimages.net/up/18/07/696b.jpg Check the GPU usage (utilisation GPU ; graphic at the top). Do not pay attention to the variation on the left portion of the graph because the mission was loading and starting (graphic is moving from rigt to left ovetime). Look at the 2 big falls of GPU usage on the right portion of the GPU usage graph. This happened when I had two big stuttering. The two small picks between the two big ones I mentionned above happened when I had small stutterings. Said differently, everytime I had a heavy stuttering, it is as if the GPU completely stopped working for a fraction of seconde. Then come back to life, this resulting in a stuttering. Looks like a bad management of ressources.
  4. Hello Wernst, Thank you for the feedback. Some tricks work for some people and some do not. For me it did not help but it did for few others. What you mentionned about the intervals of time getting longer and longer over time is interesting. I saw few people saying the same things. Is it due to some shader that get constructed as the game and time running or something else ? I wonder. Just one question. The intervals is getting bigger and bigger for one session and then, when you start a new session (quit the game, reenter and restart a mission), you have once again frequent stuttering that get less and less frequent over time. Or, the 2 min interval you did mentionne is constant even if you quit the game and restart it ? Thank you
  5. Hello Guys, I am suffering the same stuttering problem and a guy posted a trick that fixed the issue (at least for some people). Some of you have probably installed the game on a SDD HD. Good choice I would say BUT it seems important to move the C:\Users\'user's name'\Saved Games folder to the SDD as well. So, here is the procedure to move this Saved Game folder : - create a new saved game folder on your SSD - go to the folder that hold your current Saved Game folder (normally, this is C:\Users\'user's name'\) - Make a right clic on Saved Folder and select properties - there is a tab called location, select it -in this location tab, clic on Move and select the folder you created on your SSD. Windows will manage to move the files. That's it. I hope it will help. Thanks to Icemaker/C6 for the trick !!

  7. Excatly !!! Average simmer is someone who can afford to buy a game and actually buy it. I never pirated any DCS module and I bought all the modules I have. The price is awlays something to consider but this is not what keeps me aways. Conversely, drastic and constraining copy protection like this one will keep me away for sure. And I bet I am not the only one. Copy protection has to be adapted to the market you are dealing with. :hmm:
  8. ABSOLUTELY !! I was more than excited about the Harrier and ready to buy but I finally did not buy it, and I will not. When I play DCS (or any other game/sim), I want to have good time and fun, and not frustration. Sorry ED, if you are comfortable enough to lose customers, up to you ....
  9. If we are so insignificant, I wonder if this pole is really usefull... I have a doubt...
  10. Didn't buy any module since a long time (the M2000 was one of the latest) and I was really considering to buy the Harrier but this new DRM system convinced me not to buy .... Sorry guys, I know you are not responsible of that but it is not acceptable for me. Will see if this will move to the right direction according to the ongoing poll.
  11. hello, Same problem here. On a same mission, same setting, I have 40-45 fps with the Huet and only 20-25 with the Gazelle. I do not know why ?!
  12. Hi Mbot, Clearly, if you succefully create a nice Dynamic engine (I am confident you will), that will be one of the biggest move forward for DCS. As a lot of other people, I am playing DCS since many years but I never spent many hours on it as I did on other title due to lack of single player material. Happy new year and I support you Cheers
