  2. On this same topic, are there any shop/company out there selling a detent replacement? Having a 3D printer would take care of the problem but it is not an option for me right now.
  3. I am fairly new to DCS so I might not have all the information already available for this topic. I am against the MIG29 being free. The free plane idea sounds good but I don't think the MIG29 is what we need for free. Free airplanes is definitely what you need to attract players. Such airplane should be able to attract the newbie but also the veteran. For example, one airplane should be FC style while the other bird could be cockpit clickable. Free airplanes should also limit the players in what they can do. Call it a trainer model, a unarmed model or whatever else that will force the players to want more. Just an example here: The tigersharp F-20 is available? Sell that module but give the F-5A/T38. So with that being said, no "bread and butter" airplane should be given for free. If the MIG29 is what brings the money in, don't give it up. If the MIG29 is enough that players don't want more, don't give it up. In regards to ED giving free updates? They better free. An update means that something was wrong to begin with and must be fixed. A new map, a new airplane, a new campaign fixed nothing and shall not be free. I should not feel lucky when ED fix their problems. I definitely will when they come out with new stuff, which I will gladly pay for. It is actually quite simple: If I need to pay to get my game working, if I need a DLC to make my game working, If I get everything for free and don't feel the need for more, then it is all bad business planning.
  4. which make total sense now. I should have tought about it :music_whistling: Thanks for the tip Jumbik
  5. Silly but valid Vitesse2l :D and yes, I actually installed and logged in 2.0 first, then took care of 1.5.2 with the known results. On a side note, DCS websites says that the campaigns are for 1.2 or 1.5 but nothing about 2.0 http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/a-10c_enemy_within_campaign/
  6. Well, I have a problem then. I bought the special few weeks ago (the A-10, MIG and their respective campaigns and they only show up in my 1.5.2. I got the option to install on the 1.5.2. but they are not "recognized" in 2.0 What am I doing wrong?
  7. I would indeed imagine that. I just wanted to make sure it was still the plan before I invest into 1.5x modules . ;)
  8. I did not find anything in the threads so far (perhaps my search is too broad) but are there any plans to merge the whole 1.5 content with 2.0 ?! For example, maps, campaign, etc? I read somewhere that 1.5 Beta will be merge into 2.0 when the 2.0 will become Beta version. Is it correct to assume this is when everything will get transferred (modules, terrains, campaigns, etc) ?
  9. Sokol, if a switch is just a permanent modifier, than it can't be useful for what I am looking for. Just to be sure you understood my problem though, I want whatever button on my throttle to be ON (EAC ARM) when activated and OFF (EAC OFF) when I flip the switch down. DCS does not recognize any button for the EAC OFF for now whilt JOY-BTN24 is dedicated to EAC ARM.
  10. Just found out Windows 7 doesn't have much options as far as power management while windows 10 got many more ;)
  11. Dburne, thanks for the information. Unfortunately, the HID don't have a power management tab. For this reason, I decided the go into the USB controller instead (since the throttle and joystick are USB) and managed the power there. Hoping it will work now. I will update later.
  12. Thanks Hansangb, I created a new thread to explain my actual problem. As far as using modifier, I do not think it can help when it comes to WARTHOG toggle switch. I will experiment but just to make it an Example, the EAC switch is BTN24 when ARM but no button when OFF. So unless the modifier in DCS allows you to say; EAC ARM = BTN24 EAC OFF = !BTN24 (or no BTN24) I don't know how to get the "no BTN24" to work. Again, I might have just neglected to see or read something so my apology if there is a stupid answer .
  13. This is for all the experts out there. I searched the forums but nothing gives me the right answer for my problem; I am using the T.A.R.G.E.T. software for my Thrustmaster HOTAS kit (Warthog throttle and stick for A-10C). I can easily program the buttons I need into it but when I start using it in DCS, the throttle and stick will randomly stop working. then after few pushes here and there on them or after using the keyboard, it will start working again. I started wondering why running a 2nd software to begin with? why not loading a profile into DCS and avoid any possible communication issues ?!?! That brings me to the actual question; How can you export/convert .fcf files (T.A.R.G.E.T. file) into .diff.lua files (DCS files)??? Note: I am running DCS 1.5.2 through steam. p.s.: While I can create a profile directly inside DCS, I can't get the full potential of my gear without using T.A.R.G.E.T.
  14. dburne, Can you program every inputs ON/OFF with DCS ?!?! For example, the EAC (I used as ECM) toggle switch. You can easily arm it but the OFF input is not coded in DCS. The target software allows you to do it with some ease. So unless I missed something in DCS, I don't see any other ways to properly use such toggle switch. Same goes with extra layers (allowed in TARGET). I can press a specific button on the throttle and have one action and if I press another button with the one I just press, I will get a different action. I don't think DCS allows you to do such thing.
