  1. Did you try editing within the Sim? Delete and re-assign the axis that is duplicating elsewhere?
  2. Why you do this? Although majority of my hours were clocked on the Hog, even way back when it was a stand-alone module. The Hornet is "hogging" a lot of my attention recently. lol! Same with Quigon, I cannot put one over the other, even mostly for nostalgic purposes. Also the Hornet, doesn't have the Hog's loiter endurance. So before this post becomes any more inappropriate comments between speed and endurance, I just want to say...I love them both.
  3. As a work-around, when this happens, I abort the take-off request via ATC Radio, and request for another take-off clearance.
  4. I say yes if you want to be ahead of the learning curve. It may not be complete, but you can use that time to familiarize yourself with procedures and some handling (I say some as it's still being tweaked based on feedback). Once the module goes full force, it may be a little overwhelming to learn everything at once. Like learning the Hog. But it looks like your comparison is an FC3 Su33, so it's a completely different category of a module.
  5. Lol! Right on! I play guitar too! I'm actually wondering if the new soundtrack will have the same Steve Stevens vibe!
  6. I also haven't seen this behavior yet. I also get book figures on approach on the right AoA. If you can try showing the track perhaps? Should make it easier to diagnose from the community. Yoda967's question is on point, I was inclined to ask as well. All A/C have posted MLWs (Maximum Landing Weight). How much fuel do you have left, and or with munition and/or stores?
  7. Tower this is "GhostRider" requesting flyby... Negative "GhostRider" the pattern is full... I just felt like I needed to put that out...
  8. Great effort. Obviously we have a lot of purists in this community so you won't be shortchanged with feedback. I'm glad you're taking them constructively, that's the right attitude :) At least you're putting a lot of effort in actually flying the plane and clocking some hours of mastering handling rather than say "this and that doesn't work" when they've obviously need to just put in the time to get better. Which you are doing. so Kudos mate!
  9. It'll be tough to steer with buttons on the Hornet. If you want to do small corrections would mean quick taps, pressing and holding the button would mean a full deflection and you PIO.
  10. Echoing Ryno1217. This happens when you already have rudder deflected prior to activating NWS HI. What I do is release all pressure on rudder first prior to activating NWS HI and then rudder input to which direction you want to turn.
  11. If you've mapped you other controllers, then you'll notice that each device will have it's own column in the controls list. You will need to select the aircraft you wish to use your pedals and will need to map for each aircraft you wish to use these pedals as rudders. By default it will have axis assigned to the pedals hence it may control your pitch and roll inadvertently, hence you need to clear the category for your T-Pedals and assign the rudder manually. If it gives you a reverse effect (which may happen, go to Axis Tune and tick Inverse Axis).
  12. Let me get back to you in a few. On my way back home. I know there's a way to edit the config files directly, just not sure which file and which line.
  13. I'm not at my PC at the moment. But all of these settings are in the Users"name"\Saved Games\DCS\Config folders. Renaming that will force DCS to recreate a new Config folder with default settings which should get you started. NOT the folders inside Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS....
  14. You can still edit using the lua files using "Notepad++". You can always repair if you mess up.
  15. Did you rename the folder under Saved Games? because there's another Config folder in the actual Eagle Dynamics Folder under Program Files. If you did, you can do a repair DCS World (or OpenBeta, depends on which version you use), under Start Programs > Eagle Dynamics
  16. @dureiken I just bought a 12 inch LCD and mounted the Cougar MFDs side by side as I currently don't have the table real estate to have separate 8 inch screens. Plus a 12 Inch LCD only takes up 1 HDMI connection than having 2 separate. I configured the Monitor.lua files to export the MFDs to the secondary screen. Reach out if you need any help if you plan to go this route, I can share my settings if we happen to have the same resolution screens, or at least I can help you figure it out.
  17. Glad I could help. Are you trying to reconfigure your multi-monitor set-up? Been there. :)
  18. I use the Wheelstand Pro as well, with a 15cm extension. Distance to table isnt uncomfortable at all. You can raise your desk with table risers if it doesn't give you enough clearance, or if you don't use extensions, it shouldn't be an issue. Edit: In the picture below, there an inch and a half clearance between the tip of the Joystick and the bottom of the table. I also eventually figured a way to have the secondary MFD screen just below the main monitor to cover the unused area of the LED screen.
  19. You can go to: C:\Users"Your Profile"\Saved Games\DCS or DCSOpenBeta and you can rename the config folder to ConfigOLD. Relaunch DCS and it will recreate a new Config folder with default settings. If you know how to navigate your way through folders, you can just transfer any key bindings you have for your joysticks/throttle combo.
  20. Has happened to me a few times but rarely. Try checking if you have an red exclamation point on the upper right corner of the TrackIR program. It usually indicates the an update is available for the game profile you are playing on, and it will ask you to restart the TrackIR program. Usually, closing and relaunching TrackIR fixes this.
  21. +1 on the Wheelstand pro. I have it set-up with the joystick center mounted with a 15cm extension.
  22. You can try Wags personal profile. It's a few pages back I think.
  23. I agree. Having a GSYNC panel does wonders. You WILL notice the difference between 60 and 120+ when you use TrackIR and scan from either side. On a fixed viewpoint, you might not appreciate the effect.
  24. Perhaps cinematically and some inaccuracies. But back then, and I guess for most of us "aviation nuts", this movie was what started the dream to be an aviator. I remember being 8, and pretending to be in a cockpit on any decent chair i sat in, with matching imaginary stick and throttle. Tom is a licensed pilot now, so hopefully this movie should be more convincing. Full disclosure, after seeing his tweet for the first time, my heart skipped a beat.
  25. Confirming I get the same issue on a 2k monitor.
