I figured since they both offer identical capability then the only real differences would be fairly sublte?

As far as I'm aware there isn't very much difference between the AV8B NA and the Harrier GR.7. Someone feel free to correct me on that if I'm wrong.

I appreciate that it's tough working on DCS modules but the MiG 21 seems to have many many issues that need addressing and M3 haven't been open with information regarding to what's coming next. Forgive me if I'm wrong I was just wondering what's in store for one of my favourite planes!

It's not the quality of the module that's in question here, It's more so everything else.

Ah well excuse me for having a vested interest in a flight sim I've invested a fair bit of money into. You can't really dismiss my opinion on the matter purely because I don't own this specific module, that's just poor argument technique. I suppose you never really practise it though since you normally just suspend posting rights rather than arguing :smilewink:

I'm not paying them extra for a module I don't own.

The real Garmin GPS is .8 percent the cost of a real Mi-8. Using the realism of having to buy it seperate as an excuse can allow me to argue the DCS version should be like 4 dollars :music_whistling:

Surely it makes sense to tell the community this well before it comes out?

Sadly this is a problem with DCS in general, VR on WW2 servers is just where it's at its worst.

The mission on the server at the moment (Can't remember the name sorry!) has the wrong waypoints set in the briefing. It says enemy are at WP3 and friendly at WP2, where the enemy are actually at 4 and the friendlies at 3. This is for the Ka-50 by the way.

Why buy a module if you're not going to learn it?

I'm in favour of removing the D2M. It was never used on the M2KC so I don't know why we have it. That's a completely different argument though.

And the hotly anticipated AIM-54 debate.

It's quite clear that people can't be trusted not to use the exploit. Especially with the F-15 not being able to feed the engines from the bags with empty internal tanks IRL anyway. To be honest there's no massive drawback to limiting bags. We want people to think about their lives more, why not have them consider stores? More asymmetrical balance is a good thing IMHO

Here's a solution to the F-15 bags issue. Make the bags very limited to discourage cheesing fuel onto the aircraft in an unrealistic manner.

I remember when I was young and new to Blue Flag and spent my time funposting here.

You can also visually distinguish units on the ground and in the air quite reasonably in IL-2. Something DCS has yet to manage.
