  1. Really? Well that's neat. I actually did try this once, but only moved the throttle itself like once or twice and it didn't register so I assumed it just didn't work like that. Good to know, Thanks!
  2. I don't know German so I can't say for sure. Look like it's binding it to a button on the throttle though? I was wanting it bound to the throttle axis itself. Like the A-10C does natively. Ah alright, awesome. Thank you. I have TARGET but have not spent any time trying to figure it out yet. Looks like I'll have to start reading up on it.
  3. Okay so that's simple enough for the afterburner, but is it basically the same for the idle/off detent then? I'm playing with a Vive and trying to find the keys while I'm starting the engines is a bit awkward.
  4. So to add to this for the Warthog. How would you set up the throttles so that the game recognizes when they're moved past the idle/off detent, so that I don't have to use the R.Shift/R.Alt + Home or End keystroke on the keyboard? Like the A-10C supports natively. I haven't actually tried setting any aircraft up like that so maybe it's easier than to do than I've thought.
  5. I don't think we even have cables that can support 4K VR at 90FPS yet lol
  6. So what file do I need to edit then? Because if I create and save a profile for my Warthog thottle it just saves it as a .diff file and that can't be edited like the original post explains.
  7. Basically what the OP of the thread explained, setting up a few of the warthog toggle switches to in game switches. My problem is the lua files to edit seem to just not exist on system.
  8. I've been looking here and there is no lua file for the Warthog for any of my aircraft except for the A-10C, F-86, Ka-50 and FW-190, and I believe they're just included default Warthog profiles also. Even though I've set up profiles for my Warthog using the in game manager for every aircraft I own. I even did a search of my entire drive for "Throttle-HOTAS Warthog" and the only lua files it found were for those 4 aircraft. There is of course the .diff files in the saved games folder, but those don't do me any good obviously.
  9. Vive owner here. I also think it would be neat to see which HMDs people are using in here. Being in the VR subforum, your results are going to be highly biased towards "Yes" anyways.
  10. When I first started playing DCS with my Vive my eyes would actually start to hurt after 30 minutes to an hour, but I was able to get rid of that after a couple days. Main thing I attribute it to was the IPD setting not adjusted right. After that it was having my graphics settings just a touch to high, so I would drop down to 45fps too often which would strain my eyes. Now that I have everything set properly I can play for hours no problem. I've also never once gotten motion sick, but that varies greatly from person to person.
  11. What's your budget? If you don't mind used, 980ti's are getting as low as $400 now. Also the 1070 should be readily available in a few months, it'll be hard fighting everybody over one buy you may be able to get one sooner. The 1070 would be much better than a 970 though.

    DCS: F-5E!

Wow, I'm quite surprised by all the negativity about this. There's been a number of DCS modules with the option to pre-purchase, and you should all know by now that release dates can get pushed back. This is ED, not EA, their release dates are based on the product being ready to play not a corporate decision to please shareholders. I'm hyped that we have something solid now, and I'll be buying the F-5 tomorrow morning. Hopefully it'll release early July, but if not then oh well. I still can't wait to fly it.
  13. Wow, shipping to USA is kind of painful. I'd like to grab it, but shipping it to me will cost 1/2 half the price of the Warthog. That's a pretty good price though, good luck selling it.
  14. I'm probably going to wait for the 1080ti. I already have a 970 that's doing pretty well, but I also have a Vive on the way and kind of want the extra oomph to play DCS with it without worrying about settings or dropping any frames.

    DCS: F-5E!

    1) Yes it has a radar. It makes it significantly easier to track a target to WVR, provides weapon release cues, and gun pipper tracking. I don't believe the real F-5E's ever carried any radar guided weapons either, except for a custom model built to carry AIM-120s for a country who's name I can't remember right now. 2) I don't know for sure, but I imagine it will just maybe not right away.
  16. Your CPU is just fine, but you can overclock it to run up around 4.5GHz without any trouble. I agree with the 980ti or wait for the next gen cards to release here in a few months. Depends how soon you want to upgrade a card, or how much your willing to spend. The new cards will definitely be a bit more expensive. You might get by with 8GB of RAM too, but 16 is usually better in my opinion. My PC alread uses up around 9GB while playing DCS online and I run at 1080p. I don't know the vives resolution but I know it's a lot higher so I'd expect it to use a little more RAM.
  17. Gotta say I really love this server. Doesn't matter if I want to fly a fighter, ground attacker, or a heli there's always something good to do. I definitely spend most of time here, only time I don't get in this server is if it's already full. I was just thinking it would be neat to have a teamspeak for the server, now I need to get a mic or something so I can use teamspeak lol.
