I thought that the idea behind 2.5 was to have all terrains, planes, etc. on it without having other DCS versions as we had to before. When the PG is ready for 2.5 (not beta version) regular version, will I have to use another one of my three license keys to activate it?

I am not using the 2.5 open beta, I am using DCS 2.5. I have ran the updater and repair. The updater says that my 2.5 is up to date, and the repair runs just fine without any problems. The Persian Gulf terrain is not showing up in my module manager. Caucasus, NTTR, and Normandy show up in one category or another in the module manager, but the Persian Gulf is no where to be found. I double checked my DCS account and it shows that I have purchased the Persian Gulf terrain. Any suggestions?

Now that everything (planes, terrains, campaigns, etc.) automatically migrated over to DCS 2.5 during DCS 2.5's installation process, is it totally safe to uninstall DCS 2 Open Alpha?

I contacted ED support about this because unless we succeed in a mission we cannot move forward in a campaign. They responded to my support ticket within only a few minutes of me opening the ticket, and they said the following about a campaign that they made: "Please discuss this on our forum. this is not the competence of technical support."

When your mission is to protect 2 F-16s, and you are in the F-15C where your mission is to protect the F-16s from enemy aircraft, how is it your fault resulting in mission failure if the F-16s are shot down by enemy ground forces?

No matter what campaign I start in 2.5 and successfully end, it does not allow me to go on to the second mission. I just tried the F-15C Bear Trap campaign where the wingman shows me the terrain at 25,000 ft. on the first FAM mission, and after the last waypoint the wingman says, "Good flying with you sir, contact the tower for landing". So the tower vectors me in and I am cleared to land. I land and Taxi to where the hangars are and shutdown. Then I escape and click on the green button that says End Mission, so I click on it and my next mission is the first mission that I just successfully completely. This happens in every campaign in 2.5. This did not happen in 1.5. Any ideas?

In 2.5, I cannot go beyond the very first mission in Georgian Hammer with CA campaign. I have flown it 4 times and after the second to last steerpoint Wags says "Okay, contact tower and I'll see you on the ground". I park as instructed by the tower, he lands and taxis to his spot on the ramp, we both shutdown the A-10. So then I end the mission and my progress shows that I have flown 4 successful missions. How do I go beyond mission #1?

I had some track problems in 1.5, but not like here in 2.5 where everything goes wrong every time I watch a track.

I have an old Microsoft Sidewinder joystick and I have noticed that after I use it for an hour or so my hand and wrist begin to hurt, so I have to stop flying. Does anyone have a suggestion as to having experienced my problem and in turn turning to a specific joystick that does not cause pain? Thank you.

Yes. I started fresh. On a sidenote I contacted ED support and they acknowledged that this is a problem for them to solve as well in 2.5.

I just tried exactly that and the Viggen still crashed.

I still have to do a quick flight before running a replay. Correct?

Yes. The engine was off.

DCS Support told me to post this here in this forum: These problems only happen with the Viggen: Land at a friendly (blue) airfield that connects external power, refuels the plane, re-arms the plane, but it will not repair the plane (Viggen) even though the ground crew says "Copy" after requesting repair. The other problem with the Viggen is when I replay (click watch track), after a quick 5 minute mission that was successful from takeoff to landing, the plane crashes 20 seconds after take off when watching the replay.

I searched this thread and I could not find the problem regarding the rear view mirrors. In both 1.5 and 2.2 open alpha the mirrors do not show what is behind you as other aircraft do. The only thing is a blur in all 3 mirrors that vaguely shows some type of horizon. I do not have DCS 2.5 Beta yet because I am waiting for the stable version.

After you buy it, why does the next screen say "This product can be downloaded and installed through the DCS World Module Manager" when it is not available for download yet?

So neither DCS or Belsimtek have released an answer as to whether or not the F-18 will have the hide stick option?

Stick and center MFD I have watched the pre-release videos of the F-18 and studied the screenshots carefully. Even if a person has Track IR or something equivalent to it....How can anyone view the center MFD? If the question as to if there will be a hide stick option in the F-18 has been answered...Would someone please direct me to that thread?
