Whenever I setup a mission in DCS 2.0 where there are many airplanes both bad and good, DCS begins to have intermittent pauses that last 1 or 2 seconds as if there is insufficient memory. After a minute or so of this DCS ctd. My computer handles software that demands more horsepower than DCS without any problems, and DCS only has this problem in the M2000C. I ran the Repair DCS World 2 Open Alpha but the problem still persists. I have not tried missions like this in DCS1.5. Anybody else have a issue like this?

The engine shutdown sound is not correct. A jet engine does not go silent the moment you shut the fuel off.

Thanks guys. Pilot error on my part. Sorry. I did not have the lever fully forward in the locked position. Speaking of videos though, I can't wait for the interactive tutorials because the weapons tutorial videos I have watched on youtube are too fast for me to follow each step to the letter. The 1 thing that needs to be fixed is the audio files for the engine shutdown phase because when you cut the throttle to cutoff the engine sound stops immediately and about 10 seconds later the winding down of the engine's sound comes in brief intermittent sounds.

Just curious if this is on the "fix bug list": When I hit Mach 1.00 the canopy pops off. Not Mach 0.99 or 0.97, but 1.00 on the nose. The canopy is secured based on what I have learned on the youtube tutorials.

Before going into multiplayer, are the "bad guys" painted in red just as they are offline?

Do I need to have teamspeak or does DCS 2.0, and 1.5, have a built in voice comm system that I do not know about?

I am up for flying online sometime with some guys but the problem is that I am pretty new to DCS and I would be more of a pain for those that have been flying in DCS for a long time.

Interesting. Wait for 2.5 I guess. I have been flying around NTTR in the F-86 and noticed that there is not any atc or ground crew at Nellis, but there is atc at Groom Lake.

Are there plans to add missions in the near future or will I have to buy the F-15C Red Flag mission set as an example?

Why aren't there any missions in DCS 2.0 as there are in DCS 1.5?

Thank you all very much. Your support is the best forum I have ever seen. If you guys ever have the need to be taught how to fly some big iron in another sim just let me know. Too bad that there is not a big iron airplane like a B-52 or C-5 for DCS.

I do not have track ir and flying the A10-C is a big challenge because of all of the swithes and buttons that you must click on. Is there any other way to move your head around easier than having to hit alt+c all of the time for movement and zooming in and out? I have a sidewinder joystick but moving hands from the joystick's hat to the mouse back and forth is a real hassle. Thank you!

Before the update of just some days ago the DCS 1.5 scenery from both inside the cockpit and outside the cockpit was clear as crystal, but now the buildings and scenery are blurry from outside the cockpit. But the scenery from inside the cockpit is crystal clear. I checked and am pretty sure that my display settings are the same as they were before the DCS 1.5 update to what I think is now 1.5.3. Any ideas?

Thank you all for your help! My throttle on the joystick works now! If you guys ever need help on the big iron in another flight sim platform I will be happy to help. But it looks like I will begin to really like DCS! All I need now is alot of practice in combat scenarios

Windows 10. I have gone into the properties of the sidewinder precision 2 joystick in devices and printers and everything there lights up when I push the buttons. The slider works just as well too.

Thanks for the reply but I can't get my 17 year old microsoft sidewinder's throttle to be recognized in either DCS 1.5 or DCS 2.0 Alpha. I have read threads and have tried everything I've read but I cannot get the little throttle to control thrust. The hat button on top of joystick controls the view movement just fine and the stick controls all control surfaces spot on too, but all other buttons on the joystick do not work. I have tried to reassign controls to the joystick but it does not work. I must be doing something wrong. Is there a profile that someone has made that mirrors microsoft fsx default sidewinder button assignments that interact with DCS just as the buttons do in fsx? What I mean is that fsx presets automatically for the old sidewinder have trim buttons on the top and every other button and little throttle on the left control every airplane the same.

Hi All, I am new to DCS and I just installed DCS World 2.0 Open Alpha. Will I have to buy the NTTR terrain module and the F-15C in order for me to fly in DCS World 2.0 Open Alpha? But when I go to buy the F-15C in the URL below it says that I require DCS World version 2.0 and under the price it says that I Need another product.
