Has anyone checked the DCS Open beta update? Added possible fix for Samsung Odyssey crosseyed picture. I checked on my goggles and unfortunately after the last update DCS 2.5.4.26368 nothing has changed :( I still have crosseyed picture .It is comforting that steps have been taken to solve the problem.Thank you for your work and I keep my fingers crossed hoping for a quick solution problem.

I've tried everything. The IPD setting in the game affects the size of the cockpit, but does not change the setting of the left eye image relative to the right. These images are not only that they are offset horizontally, but one is much higher than the other. This can be seen immediately when uploading the game via SteamVR when the loading window with three bars is super clear, and when the DCS menu is shown the image is very distracted. It can not be seen anymore because the eyes hurt.

Thank you very much for your data. We are still waiting for the fix from Eagle Dynamics.

You must run these applications in the command line window. The easiest way is to click on the magnifying glass and enter CMD. Then open the folder containing the vrcmd applications and drag it to the command line window and press Enter. Thank you for your help.

Any experience with Samsung Odyssey Plus & DCS yet?

Gentlemen who use the Samsung Odyssey Plus goggles and do not have any problems with the image, could you send data from your goggles generated by the vrcmd application, as described in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3750263&postcount=10 There is a large group of users of Samsung Odyssey Plus goggles with misalignment. Strangely, most games and applications work normally, and this problem occurs in DCS. We are trying to determine what is the reason for this behavior. Thank you in advance for your help. -
Your values also do not seem to be symmetrical, but you do not have any misalignment. Maybe this is a bad trail. Thanks for your data.

Gentlemen with Odyssey Plus goggles without misalignment in DCS, could you paste the data from your goggles as described in the post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3750263&postcount=10 I would like to see if the parameters in Odyssey Plus goggles on which DCS can be run without problems are more symmetrical.

In the discussion on the steam forum https://steamcommunity.com/app/719950/discussions/0/1742229167208813376/?ctp=2, we analyzed data from several Odyssey Plus goggles - including for comparison with goggles on which DCS normally starts. We used the vrcmd application in the folder: c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64>vrcmd This application generates such data: Device 0 - holographic.WindowsHolographic - Samsung Windows Mixed Reality 800ZBA by WindowsMR - HMD - generic_hmd D3DAdapterIndex: 0 RecommendedRenderTargetSize: width=1687, height=2107 Left Projection: left=-1.246544, right=1.040488, top=-1.439158, bottom=1.418004 Right Projection: left=-1.047278, right=1.232865, top=-1.418372, bottom=1.425465 Lens Center: (0.000000, 0.000000), (0.000000, 0.000000) This is just the data from my goggles that have the effect of misalignment in DCS. For comparison, data from goggles that do not have this problem: Device 0 - holographic.WindowsHolographic - Samsung Windows Mixed Reality 800ZBA by WindowsMR - HMD - generic_hmd D3DAdapterIndex: 0 RecommendedRenderTargetSize: width=1687, height=2105 Left Projection: left=-1.225003, right=1.041945, top=-1.414402, bottom=1.415475 Right Projection: left=-1.039288, right=1.240635, top=-1.423776, bottom=1.421235 Lens Center: (0.000000, 0.000000), (0.000000, 0.000000) What you can notice is his top/bottom values are pretty close (symmetrical) to each other. Unlike other Odyssey+ headsets. top=-1.414402, bottom=1.415475 top=-1.423776, bottom=1.421235 It is possible that this is a clue that will help in removing the problem. Here are the next data from the two odyssey goggles plus with the same problem in DCS: Device 0 - holographic.WindowsHolographic - Samsung Windows Mixed Reality 800ZBA by WindowsMR - HMD - generic_hmd D3DAdapterIndex: 0 RecommendedRenderTargetSize: width=1913, height=2388 Left Projection: left=-1.237106, right=1.043276, top=-1.439004, bottom=1.414056 Right Projection: left=-1.045044, right=1.239822, top=-1.419550, bottom=1.431158 Lens Center: (0.000000, 0.000000), (0.000000, 0.000000) Device 0 - holographic.WindowsHolographic - Samsung Windows Mixed Reality 800ZBA by WindowsMR - HMD - generic_hmd D3DAdapterIndex: 0 RecommendedRenderTargetSize: width=2065, height=2581 Left Projection: left=-1.241200, right=1.041525, top=-1.444395, bottom=1.412439 Right Projection: left=-1.052791, right=1.237553, top=-1.431514, bottom=1.432223 Lens Center: (0.000000, 0.000000), (0.000000, 0.000000)

For me after using the inject function the picture is quite normal, the misalignment disappears and the eyes do not get tired. Only the resolution is apparently smaller.
-
I have no idea what it depends on. I bought my Odyssey Plus together with a friend and his goggles do not have any misalignment on DCS, I can not fly. The goggles software version has the same 1.0.1 so I do not know what the differences are. I checked my goggles on another computer and it was the same problem with DCS :(

It looks like they are working to resolve this problem: https://steamcommunity.com/app/719950/discussions/0/1742229167208813376/

It also crossed my mind. But not all Odyssey Plus have this problem.
-
Good question ... I do not know exactly who could solve it - but since other applications / games work normally, the goggles seem to be working. Terribly frustrating, but it seems to be a software problem.
-
Or the HTC Vive resolution. This problem occurs only with Samsung goggles, both Odyssey and Odyssey Plus. It may be related to the physical regulation of IPD. Other WMR goggles have this parameter set by the software, and in the case of Samsung this value is taken from the goggles with an accuracy of 3 decimal places and maybe this is the reason?
-
Unfortunately, IPD settings in DCS do not affect this misalignment. It is possible that the source of this problem lies in the physical adjustment of the IPD parameter in the goggles. Other sets, except for Samsung, have this adjustment only through the software. In the case of Samsung, the values are taken from the goggles with an accuracy of 3 decimal places, it is possible that this is the source of the problem. I am waiting patiently for some fix, update ...

I have new Samsung Odyssey Plus goggles for several days and unfortunately I have a problem of shifted image from one eye to another only in DCS. The rest of the application worked without a problem. The only option to run DCS without this shift is to use the Inject function in Revive, but the resolution is very poor. I bought these goggles only for the DCS simulator and I hope that someone will solve this problem.

Yes, you can increase the PD. I set to 1.6 because above I have a white square. Steam VR set to 200% (1080Ti) - but the quality does not knock down :) In addition, I have a strange problem with centering the view. When I press 5 on the numeric keypad, it resets my view with my head raised too high. I have to lift up slightly and then reset :)

Hello Sparkam, I checked the methods you described and actually work. Unfortunately, in fact the resolution is quite low. I have a Pimax 4K and I see in them much more clearly. I hope that the problem with this DCS eye misalignment will be solved by ED.
-
I have exactly the same problem. Other games work fine in SteamVR, unfortunately only DCS has one screen higher than the other. I checked goggles on two different computers and it was the same. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Same issue on Pimax 4K -
I use 31 IPD on Pimax 4K :pilotfly:

Hello guys, Waiting for Pimax 8K I've already fallen in love with the 4K models I have. It is a pity that the film can not be handed over in how cool everything can be seen through it.

Thanks a lot, ED!!!

Nice job! Thanks!
