Nah man what he's saying is an F-16a is just a f-5 that has a hud. Granted, F-16 would be a lot better in the ground attack role with ccrp and better range, but I would love later model F-16's to be added to DCS along with F-18. Imagine DCS with a dynamic campaign like BMS and a f-16/F-18. It could have all the great things of BMS but with better engine/graphics and other aircraft fully modeled.

I'd love to see more pilot models in general. High altitude suits for mig-21, Warsaw Pact pilots with leather helmets and Nirth Korean Pilots with leather helmets and goggles, etc.

I read that a while ago Razbam had plans to do a Tornado. I also saw Polychop tease it. Is tornado still planned? It's my #1 aircraft after Mirage III.

I don't want a Tiger. It's an unextroardinary attack helicopter. I'd prefer a Tornado.

MF would be cool because it suffered from the problems faced with the early SapFir III radar, meaning that you would still rely on gci to get you into parameters as it have a very narrow cone and could only lock onto targets heading right at it. Rear aspect attacks would require use of the irst.

The Viggen had better be released this year. Its overdue.

Yeeah Mig-15 is great. I love Korean War servers, but Georgian Springs has more of an immersion factor. Sometimes its fun to roleplay Mig-17 against gar-8 armed Sabres.

Any Mig would be cool... especially post 21.

I don't think I've seen the North Atlantic enough to be tired of it, and it makes the most sense given the projected strategic situation if the cold war went hot. There is one scenario I enjoy on CMANO called North Pacific Shootout, set in the late 80's, which puts your Tomcat-equipped Carrier group defending against tu-16s, Mig-31's, and Su-27's. The Su-27's aren't much of a problem since their based too far North to reach you until late in the scenario, but yikes are the mig-31's scary. Superior to the Tomcat in most ways except for maneuverability and perhaps slight range.

Safe bet. Its nice to see that the team is investing work into it, but they need to get Viggen out the door, and apparently F-4u and a freaking Iow Jima theatre is coming out before Tomcat

I believe he was talking about the Mig-23. I did not realize that the Su-17/22 had actual SEAD capability, apart from a unit in Wargame, red dragon. I'd very much look forward to trying Sead with it, perhaps using the tv display with the KH-29.

Su-7 would be really cool tbh, but su-17/22 fits better in DCS' era of interest. Su-22 fits really well onto the upcoming Gulf of Hormuz, and can fly with Iraqi Mig-21's against Iranian F-14's and F-5's.

Plus thats just another reason they should port it into DCS. If the skin already exists on another platform for the same plane then why don't they have it in DCS.

The Egyptian liveries are really simple in comparison to many of the French ones, and it would be a good option for Mirage-2000's flying for REDFOR. There is a UAE livery already, and a freakin Peruvian one, so I see no reason they can't add an Egyptian one.

Mig-31 is probably impossible to do. Mig-25 however would be very cool.

I had no idea the Mig-23 got an IRST at any point. I can actually see that playing an important role on that aircraft. With cooperation from gci, a Mig-23 can use IRST to get in range for an optimal shot before even switching on its radar and exposing its presence.

There's speculation that an early su-24 might be lined up after f-18 by ED

People have been throwing ideas around that Leatherneck might plan on creating a Mig-23 for DCS, as it's a very popular plane and a good 3-4 generation fighter to rival f-14. Another possible jet, one that would work well with the Mig-21, would be the Su-17/22. Very flexible swing wing strike fighter that fought the F-14 in Libyan hands.

I agree but I'd be happy with any variant.
