I'm not Koriel...but: (Settings you can make in the options.lua - thanks to the russian players/forum) -To be able to turn off the volumetric light effect for low performance hardware. ["lights"] = 1,-And also to be able to completley turn off the shadow. ["shadows"] = 0-To be able to reduce smoke density or what ever the setting does. I know it turns off the Rotor downwash effect and also it seems that it reduce the density of smoke in general(?), not sure. ["effects"] = 2-To be able to turn off the water effects at all. ["water"] = 1I also fixed the fps to 30fps(in the graphics.cfg). Don't know what it really does, but it is a tipp in the russian "performance tipps" Forum...so I did it. MaxFPS = 30;I also set the renderer from "DXrenderer.dll" to "ati2dvag.dll" in the graphics.cfg - also a tipp from the russian Forum. Renderer = "ati2dvag.dll";With these settings, it runs very well on my rig. No more extreme fps hits when firing a Vikhr when Shkval Monitor is turned on and no more extreme fps hits when hovering a few feets/meters off the ground(because the rotor down wash is turned off).

This is not because ED want to. This is because ED have a contract with 1C(still another ***** Publisher in my eyes, because they won't wait)and they want to, because it was a part of the contract and ED have to perform the contract. What I don't understand is, why ED made a contract with a publisher in Russia?!? In a Post/Thread(or FAQ?) a few month(or years?) ago, Wags(or EB) said, that ED is releasing BS without any Publisher because of the Problems with Publisher (UBI) in the past with LockOn. And what happens when any publisher is onboard is what you actually can see....the customers and the developer are the...you know... (sorry for my bad english..)

Uhhh....please let me....:P: -
First: I really really love this Game:thumbup: (Second: Good to have friends with family in Russia:D) My question: How can I make a human 4-ship flight in the Editor? What I mean is: How can I (we) fly a Mission together, with a link to the other Helo's so I can see them on the ABBRIS? If I make a new flight, I only can set one Player or Client in a flight. So, how does it work? How can I bind several player controlled Helo's to one flight, so they can be seen on the ABBRIS and also can send Targets via the Data Link etc.?

It's only the Flight Manual. If I understand it correctly, there is another Manual. Both together have 600 or 700 pages. -

DCS: Black Shark, Russian Version has gone gold
Duke49th replied to Wags's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Very important question!!! I hate it to leave the Disc in the Drive. (As a paying Consumer) -
Hey, thanks!

I totally agree. Better 2 or more Buttons for push to talk to more different programmed frequencies.(like VHF&UHF in OF - Group/Wing and Broadcast)

I mean that kind of "stall", where you are i.e. hovering and you try to lower your alt. Then you sometimes, if you sink too fast, the Helo starts to shake and you fall down like a stone if you not imediateley push cyclic to any direction and give some collective to come out of this "stall". In EECH I hate this effect.:D Hope you understand what I try to explain:)
-
Copy. But what would you say? Is the KA-50 more stable then any other Helo?
-
I have a question about the stall(Blade-stall?) with the KA-50. Is the chance of a stall(Blade-stall?) more or less then in a regular Helo? Stall or Blade-stall is the reason for the most crashes in EECH for me, when I'm going into a hover position(Apache) :)

The 32bit application will still use maximum 2Gb Ram. No matter how much is installed. And no matter if OS is 32bit or 64bit. You have for Example 12Gb Ram. The application uses and need 2Gb Ram>you have 10Gb left for other application. edit: There is no "first 4gb of Ram". When you have 12Gb Ram, then you have 12Gb Ram. Windows x64 will not start an Windows 32bit Emulation and reserve's 4Gb Ram. It will start the 32bit Application in a kind of "compatibility" Mode. edit2: source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/64-bit Also read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WoW64

Mmhh...for what I read is; Windows Vista is always saving the half(or at least much of it) of the installed Ram for itself. But if an application need that Ram, Windows free it and the application can use it. P.s.: Yes, the 2Gb limitation is per application.
-
As Groove said, 32bit .exe uses around 2 Gb Ram. 64bit .exe uses up to 7-8Tb Ram :) Crysis have a 32 bit AND a 64 bit .exe You can choose which one you want to start. To start the 64bit .exe you need a 64bit OS. Don't know what kind of .exe COD4 use. But if it hasn't a 64bit .exe it is still limited to ~2 Gb. If you are using Vista x64 and have much Programms/services running. It is useful to have 4Gb Ram or more, even the 32bit .exe of a Game is not able to use more than ~2 Gb of Ram. The reason why I have XP x64 is because of my Soundcard won't work with OpenFalcon in 32bit.:( And what I noticed, If you have an 64bit .exe, the overall Performance of the application is a bit better then 32bit. Even if you have only 2Gb Ram installed in your PC.(I noticed this in Halflife2, Farcry with 64bit Patch and Crysis Demo) I think, if I remember correctly, it has something to do with the ability of the (GFX and so on)driver to work better/faster with 64bit OS. But this is what I read from AMD and/or Microsoft Articles about 64bit tech. Not sure if it is correct. So, it is better to have a 64bit .exe even when the application doesn't need or benefit from more than 2 Gb Ram.

Are ED planning to "upgrade" it to 64bit(or add a 64bit .exe) anytime in the (not so far:)) future?
-
I think-I HOPE- it will run properly on Win XP/VISTA x64:huh: I have Win xp x64....and I will not change my system.
