Mmmh...maybe...but I will wait for more answers, because I don't believe that the files are corrupted. I have time till tonight(7 hours)...so any furthur suggestions would be nice:) I am very unsure about that. Because it copy's very much files. The Windows is beta, maybe the DX installer don't work properly!? I probably get a new graphics card this days...when I get it, I will install the RC of Win7. But not before.

Today I bought the german version of Black Shark. (Before I had the russian one) After deinstalling, deleting the whole folder and all registry entries, I installed the german version and activate it. During the installation, I installed directX accidently(maybe this causes the problem?) -- Accidently, because Windows 7 already have DX11 and this is why it should have the latest(or better say newer) directX then one on the DVD. My rig is shown in the signature. I have the Vista 64 8.12 Catalyst installed. No Mods are used/installed yet. I wanted to get sure, everything works fine first...and it doesn't. With the russian version, everything works perfect. I agree:) And here is a question: What does ED planning for the future? I(we, the 49th Black Diamonds) are building missions every day, for several month now. It starts to get very annoying! You have to build a mission for at least a few hours. And even it is free of bugs, it take too much time. So, to hold multiplayer - non-PvP - squads for the next years, it is absolutely nessecary to have at least a semi dynamic campaign! That's why I am asking, what does ED planing for the future? I hope I get an answer from any official! (speculations from any player/consumer is not what I want, sorry) Cheers

I have a XP/Win 7 dual boot. I don't run a bench. But I do not need a bench, because the performance I gain needs no test...it's big enough to recognize;) One User did a comparison: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=614161&postcount=28 Stay on the safe side and make a new install. Otherwise there is a hack. All I can say is, TrackIR 4 works fine. Is your USB Device correct installed? (Mainboard driver ok?) Is it installed as USB 2.0 or only as USB 1.0/1.1?

No never tested. I am not playing ArmA for month now. Maybe with the new engine there comes also a new sound engine.:)

These Sounds are from ArmA:D (Didn't know BIS's source and record method) Doesn't BlackSharks soundengine adds doppler, echo etc. depending on environment? (Too lazy to test)

I didn't mean too loud as too loud because too much volume ;) Damm...I try in german: Ich finde die beiden Sounds allgemein zu krass. Sie sind in ihrer Gesamtheit zu "laut", nicht von der Lautstдrke her. Echt schwer zu beschreiben, lol - Halt einfach zuviel. Echt schwer das in Worte zu fassen. There we have it. Nice mod. But, to make it short, what I'd not like is: #Ka-50's Vikhr release Sound.(Too much...or too loud...could not describe) #Ka-50's flare dispenser Sound. - Too loud...too extremly...you know what I mean? #A-10's Maingun (Gau-8 ) - Too much reverb. #A-10's Gau-8 impact sound - Also too much reverb. (Or is it the DCS sound engine? Whatever...too much reverb:D) Did you resample the fire (burning) sound? In original it is much too loud. You can hear it from 50 meters above in the pit with running engines...very unrealistic... Good mod anyway:) Edit: Where did you find the definition for what vehicle uses what sound? I didn't find any vehicle config or any else config or .lua script that define's what sound is using for what vehicle...!? For example: The "ZSU-23-4 Shilka.lua" does not contain the info what sound is used. Where the hell it is defined?

Use the latest Vista driver(8.12). Ati driver for Windows 7 are only supporting PCI-E cards from 2xxx up. It's a shame..:mad:

Which "Latest" ATI Catalyst Driver to use?

For what OS(XP, Vista, Win7) and what card(1xxx or 3xxx or 4xxx? @Pteradon: Maybe he have an AGP Card. The newer driver versions are making many problems with old (AGP) cards. Not on every system...but often enough. Since an year or so, the ATI driver really sucks. For example: Every time i install a new driver in XP, it damages my creative soundcard drivers. And I have no f** idea why!? P.s.: In Windows 7 I use the latest Vista 64 driver. The newer one doesn't support my graphics card. :mad: In XP I use 9.2 or 9.3 and I have that blank menu issue...but who cares^^ -
Just to clarify....there is no Win7 RC(Release Candidate) available.:music_whistling: It's all (open)Beta!

Reinstall the graphic card driver or install a newer one. Make sure you deinstall the old one completely, using a 3rd party tool like Driver Sweeper (Uninstall the device from your device manager. Run Driver Sweeper, restart your PC. Run Driver Sweeper again. Restart PC again. Then Install a new driver. If you already had installed the newest, try to use an older one.) What graphic card are you using? If it is an ATI 3xxx or older, try to use Catalyst 8.x if you are using 9.x right now.

Here is my track. Performing an attack with HMS + guns only in permament(almost) hi speed moving. Against a moving(30kp/h) group of 12 "low threats" from unarmed and armed HMMV to Stryker IVC and M113. If it is really engine independant: The question is not, could or want ED include LINDA into their new engine? The much more important question is, how much must ED pay for a license? ;) So I think....they will not implement it...

All I can say is, what I've done like described in the post in the following link: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=683616&postcount=70 My sys specs. are in my signature... It boost my fps from almost unplayable(<- 25fps with activated shkval) fps to almost above 25+ fps(with shkval activated). -- In missions with medium to high "action". Don't tested explicit if my GFX-Card is the bottle neck here, but with my AMD 5200+ it runs fine now.(In Windows 7 x64 much better then in XP ;))
