If anyone has a Vive with DCS take my word and upgrade to the S. Its so much better than the Vive in every sim/game I have tried.

Yeah I installed that one yesterday and boy its a huge improvement :)

Yeah my IPD is 66 and I have no issues at all. Could be the fact I cam coming from the Vive but I love this headset (bar the sound which hopefully is getting fixed "soon")

Coming from the original Vive its no honeymoon period for me as its simply the fact that i can now read the dials and switchs in the planes with no issues at all. No leaning to within a few inches to check them out. The only plane that I struggled with last night was the Tomcat but I think that is just made to look old and worn out.

Just fired up DCS World and went in to the Huey and OMG I cant believe how clear the cockpit is coming from the OG Vive! I can read every dial now! I thought it would be a slight improvement but WOW is about all i can say. Heading back in now to check out the Hornet!!

Yeah I have the X55 and was wondering why I couldnt use all the buttons etc on the Throttle as never knew you had to use the software (always been lazy and downloaded profiles before! Shame on me) I take it you really need DCS and the X55 software open so you know which key combination it has to use to bind in that software?

Strange I dont get the moving map I just get the standard HSI and have no way to turn the map on.

Thanks for doing that will save time when I get home from work! Have you fully mapped the F18 and X55 or just the TDC axis?

Cant wait to give it a go after work on my Vive (once I have set up my HOTAS). Sadly being in AU and the nearly 3am release of the update I have only had time this morning to update DCS and download the plane and now I have 8 hrs in work :( Anyone else use a Vive and can comment on it in VR?

Does anyone have a VIVE and use the SteamVR beta and can run the sim ok in 2.5.1? I cant at this time so wondering if its just my machine being weird or not.

Well use the cmd line in my previous post and see if the game boots. If it does it confirms its VR thats doing it.

C:\Users\<yourname>\Saved Games\DCS\Logs as long as you press yes to create a log when it crashes of course If you want to disable VR open a command prompt, go to your bin folder in your dcs install directory and at the cmd prompt type dcs.exe --force_disable_VR

GTX 1080 and use HDMI on the Vive. Updated drivers to latest just in case with no difference. If you look at your crash log file I noticed a lot of the errors in the first few lines were all about steamvr. So took a stab and disabled VR on bootup and game boots ok.
