  1. All my aircraft start on ramp in SP and MP without issue - other than sometimes SU-27s like to run their wingtips across the nose of another flight on the ramp when taxiing causing mass ejections - ultimately resulting in a traffic jam due not all the wreckage despawning :) Nutshell: Working for me as well as it should regarding ramp spawns in MP. No player/client A/C were at that airfield though.
  2. LOL I did that yesterday. Instead of a quaint mountain village in a rustic setting, I discovered parking lots and old Soviet industry. :( Would be cool if these mountainous areas across the Caucasus were re-textured with appropriate buildings.
  3. Best Parts Hauling hay Hog slaughter Baking bread Making moonshine For DCS reference, the villages are located at the red dots on the map below. PS: Old people are frikken stronk.
  4. Off Topic RE: Screenshot with your phone. LOL ;) Try this instead: 1) Snipping Tool that ships with Windows -or- 2) http://puush.me/ Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

  6. 2 Screens here. 3rd screen is not defined for game.
  7. Is there a workaround for this?
  8. You probably haven't tried Blue Flag from Buddy Spike. Here is the web based gadget showing the current state of the war. http://gadget.buddyspike.net/ That's just one of the many cool features from the BS team. Speaking of cool things, get Simple Radio. Same place. Failing that, try the 104th and Open Conflict. Both are my standard Go-To's when BF is in between rounds (now). If WWII is your thing - there are a couple servers out there for that. I don't know - or care - about WWII planes, but hey, it's there. Now, stop your cry. Slot up.
  9. Oh! Panhead = reading comprehension fail. Yea, that seems shady to me. I don't know the mechanics of it, to be honest. However, could it be they were hit already and your client hasn't updated yet? Doubtful, but I suppose it could be a possibility. Who knows? Cheating at DCS is retarded, and there are tons of people... well - lmgtfy http://bfy.tw/7PA0
  10. I have done it to see where you were and make a note to self to peer closer at similar locations on my travels. Sometimes, it's in the open, which isn't helpful at all, and other times I am able to discern a clever attack position which masks you from threats. But certainly no longer than the time to do that. Well, that's not entirely true - I'll admit I like to fly at mach 1.5 through the mountains with no cockpit like a virtual Superman. :pilotfly:
  11. brilliant. need me some mfds.
  12. Obviously, you misunderstood. Which is to be expected, as I am not the worlds' greatest communicator. I mean: Hey, RandomPilot... Sit in your cockpit, and on the deck in M Vody for 30-45 minutes because you are the relief. I don't need you wasting fuel and possibly getting engaged. Don't take off until this hack or unless you are scrambled. Why make someone wait? Because it's a timing issue. We need aircraft on station all the time. It works better for us. Maybe not as well as we like - but it works. But I still won't ask someone to do it outside the planned event participants that know going in the risks of thumb twiddling. Understand, now? Arrogance is not intended.
  13. I have to disagree. Not all conflicts are the huge coalitions seen in recent years. Participants did have their own controlling entities, and outside of very granular objectives, communication is in the form of the next day's recon photos. Not to say the way you describe it wouldn't be ideal. Additionally, it is frustrating for the few people in general comms who crave order and a coordinated effort. I get that. I've been there. However, speaking from my squadron's point of view, when we put together a strike package/operational plan, we attempt to coordinate with the current GCI to let them know we are active and we are doing x. Sure, there have been a few instances of us not communicating with GCI due to either our own fault, or there not being one available at the moment we begin our operation. Nine times out of ten, we are in general comms/SR freq's and integrated with our side. But, when we are alone, we try to at least let GCI know what is up. Just because a person sees us muted, doesn't mean we are excluding the side we are playing for - we just happen to be not telling everyone what we are doing. Additionally, for this round (blue), there were only a few steady GCIs (maybe 7-8), and four of them came from my squadron. EDIT 0905EST: Sorry, I feel I need to justify/clarify a point made above. RE: Planning. When we create a plan, there is a lot more involved than just "You guys in F15s go here and the A10s will go there". We actually have time tables, comms plans, planned ordinance expenditures, fuel needs, defined zones of controls, backup aircraft on the deck, etc. It typically takes us 1/2 of the prior round to plan, and nearly 1/3 of the new round to get the ball rolling. In this time, we have to revise the plan based on unplanned disconnections, target areas no longer valid, etc. We also take into account the number of airframes we have and plan accordingly. To add random people to a plan would be almost impossible. Granted, we have only done this two or three times, and we have failed miserably, but within our squad we can tell people to STFU and take it... But there is no way I'm going to ask a random guy on the server to not slot up in the slot I want him in and wait 45 minutes to take off.
  14. I thought it was 4 ingress points as well. Been a while since I looked at it, though. You are probably correct. OT: Flooding near you? Looks pretty bad.
  15. RE: Base/City/FARP forces. Greg, Do the forces for red/blue on each piece of real estate match? Or supposed to match? I've found a few instances of an additional vehicle or the lack of same vehicle for the opposing side. For example, Poti city (Blue) does not have an EWR, but Poti city (Red) has two EWRs. There are several more instances of this - in much more strategic locations (haha), and I can help you track them down, if you'd like. I'm absolutely positive it isn't game breaking, and the entire issue can be discarded if you feel like it, but maybe, just maybe, one side or the other benefits accidentally from a missing radar or two?
  16. What's a leavu cheats?
  17. i cant shoot anything down. i haven't gotten an a2a kill in 10 years. i don't even bother. I egress when bounced. i'm just calling you on your bullshit ass statements and your lame attempt to bait people.
  18. I laughed when I saw that guy complain, as well. He also (or another guy, maybe) wanted to know wtf this server had so many people on it. I had zero time to reply at the time, and he was gone soon thereafter, anyway. Sucks. Because there went a possible regular, if he had known where to tune for info.
  19. RE: Yesterday - After several minutes of being denied entry over a period of hours due to server pop, I gave up. At the time, I think there were only the central bases left on Blue. I'm an interdiction/helo oriented pilot, and it seemed to me - based on TS chatter, focus was on sweeps/cap. If I would have been able to get in, I would have possibly taken the slot an F15/M2K pilot would have, while languishing in a redundant GCI slot contributing nothing. I decided to fly on some other shitty server, rather than spamming Join. ;)
  20. :baby: Only time I get to smoke.
  21. I dunno about you guys, but I do not care one way or the other how the round goes, as long as I am having fun. Balance will be addressed, I'm confident. There's no need for hostility toward each other (EDIT: or blatant hyperbole soliciting such hostility, haha). Don't get me wrong, I'm down for a Blue win and and kicking Red's dick in the dirt, but in the end, if it goes the other way - Sa da tay my main daime. You just have to sine your piddy on the runny kine.
  22. Make sure your L/L type is set the same as your navigation system. Use decimal, or whatever it requires. In the A10C I have used both decimal L/L and UTM. The accuracy is, well... accurate. :) In F10 map, change coordinates type by ALT+Y.
  23. on more than one occasion i have directed f15s to take out a late friendly bomber as we captured the target and didnt want to get closed by carpet bombing. Maybe BF team can add a bomber cancel option for the caller.
