I am reading a book about a spitfire pilot during WW2 and noticed that it seems common practice for ground crews to warm up the engines at the start of the day. Could this be implemented in the campaign? I ask because I have yet to get my spitfire warmed up in time to meet the planned taxi time in the briefing. It would seem in keeping with historical events to man aircraft and find the engine already warmed up.
And I want to mention that I am enjoying the campaign. Great work.
Another way is to check if you already have a license. Go to Home>Personal section>User profile and View all licenses with the pull down menu at the lower left. It should show the date you purchased the DCS: Normandy 2.0 Map.
I have done the above steps and gotten the headset and curser fix working good. However, it seems that I have a little 'fisheye' effect going on. Admittedly, only used the new headset for a few hours in DCS but it seems that this is different than the G2 I replaced.
Wondering if anyone noticed anything like this.
ps. thanks to all those who have helped the new varjo users.
In VR, screen is unreadable due to shaking, freezing, blurry, stuttering, etc. Mouse moves slowly and freezes. Eventually the screen freezes completely and game needs to be shut down via task manager.
Thanks for the advice but editing the height and width values did not seem to work. The game would not start with the edited file. Oh well. I borrowed a monitor that was capable of 4k resolution and got the game running and changed the settings.
Somehow my game shows only the upper quarter of the startup screen, as if the game resolution is set to 3840 x 2160. My monitor is only 1920 x 1080. Is there a key to press to allow the game resolution to be set prior to the game starting all the way? If I wait until the game is started I can select settings but cannot see the entire settings window to make changes.
my understanding is that you trim a pitch attitude for your angle of attack and control rate of descent with throttle while in the pattern. even very slight power changes result in large changes in rate of descent or climb. and the engines do take some time to respond.
I cannot get cockpit view when game starts. I see the map as the background on the briefing screen and when I click 'fly' I am not in the cockpit as when selecting F1. This is new since the last update, everything worked before.
Yes, interested in your experience with new gpu. I have a 660 Ti and considering upgrade. PSU is 430 so should be able to handle the new series of cards. How is your performance? Are you using the max settings? Do you play BoS and if so, performance in that game? Thanks.
