Hey guys, here is an EXCELLENT example of where a hotfix would be needed, the multiplayer fix for steam right now, build a small patch ONLY fixing the multiplayer part of it and push it, that's a hotfix, don't let you people wait for it like this Do you guys use GIT for development of this game, each patch should have a ticket, a branch of the development build and JUST the code to fix it, this would be really easy to make a hotfix, tag the release and push, without hurting other work (and have perfect comparisons(diffs) of what worked or not). Do I need to post this in Russian in the Russian form?, trying to get this idea into play if it is not.

not true, I have plenty of 16 gig people playing on Dynamic Caucasus, but I had to do A LOT to make that happen. Now the random transport.dll crash that is happening, that is infuriating, destroys the entire server when it happens, less people comeback each time.... I put waay to much work into this game for that to happen.

The individual player crashes are a different matter, this crash destroys my entire server, people don't come back, my 10+ hours a day for 7 months feels like its wasted with bugs like these, its worse than normal type of bug. It randomly happens and its really de-moralizes everyone. Yes its still happening, every 55 mins to 3 hours (I don't want to spam the error though, but kind of feel I do) Most individual player bugs are people with PC's that don't have enough memory for these new textures, they need to up the minimum reqs for this game 16 gigs at LEAST (from what I am seeing).

Crashed again, 30 mins into the game, do you guys have this reported yet, is it in the ticketing system??? I don't want this fix to take 6 weeks like the weapons.dll did, can we have the devs put up a multiplayer server to detect this problem IF this information is not enough, this crash is destroying my server atm. Its happening to my MP server every 2-3 hours or so, I think it has something to do with spawning in ground units, maybe the isTransportable flag? I really don't know with this being all closed source

It doesn't crash, just laggs HARD!, everyone freezes in place for 5-7 secs every time someone loads into a new plane or heli model (or changes the skin) - its something to do model/texture memory/cache loading. , server is i7-7700k, DD4 32 gigs of ram, m.2 SSD its a top of the line machine with new hardware for the server on a gig fiber connection I know your looking into it, launching a big version like this is a big deal, Having an absolute blast in it (especially VR and the trees), just trying to help make it better lol

I run the Dynamic Caucasus mission which has a big population on it a lot of the time. When people load onto the server or leave, the server run timer ( that runs upward when you check it in the, left ctrl + pause), halts and FORCES everyone on the server to LOAD that texture or model at that time. It is hurting game play a lot, anyone flying a heli or low flying plane is ultimately crashing because of it. I go to turn off the switching of skins option (which allowed some of the 8 gig of memory players to play), and it helped the situation a little bit. I don't really want to setup an aircraft graveyard to preload all these skins and models (making the server take a VERY long time to load in. My busy server (with small 600kb mission file), takes a long time to load in as it is), I just don't want the load times to get worse (im guessing its syncing all the dead ground carcass (I wish I could remove these to allow clients to sync quicker...)) We had this big pauses in 1.5.8 also. Just some findings, it is hurting the fun of the game. and needs to be addressed -Drex

load a local game on the tarmac, and go back and forth changing settings, in 30 mins to an hour, tell us your findings, I have to do this everytime a big update like this happens, use cntrl+pause to see fps and use that to judge

The poll is wrong - poll was probably only filled out by specific type of players, I will show and prove this! Single Player is predictable and boring(if it isn't initially, it will be, items in the same place all the time, same events..), seriously (unless people like to fly by themselves and have a sub par experience - I wouldnt of put as much work into my recent engine if I didn't fully believe this.)

Outside of the connect/disconnect/skin changing/loading new plane lag (do these actions REALLY need to halt the runtime of the entire server?????) - I gotten my server to hum the best of all of them(pretty much) with any type of substance on it (units, etc), if there is a better way of running a server I'll figure it out(the hard way, process of elimination), just hope they accept my bug reports for 2.5 because they will be professional and straight to the point (prob in private at first as a respectful move).
