16AGR are still running 1.5.6 until they fix the major issues with 1.5.7, 1.5.6 runs buttery smooth in multiplayer, 1.5.7 does not, just bringing it up because we really need a patch for 1.5.x

I run a hugely populated multiplayer server, has nothing to do with graphics settings. I just reverted everything to 1.5.6

The main mission I work on 'dynamic caucasus' will test almost every asset in the game (allow WWII assets to be seen by people who don't own those assets and I will make it use them all, my mission places units by randomization templates), we work on this stuff everyday (what can I say, we love the game), we want to make it better, make it more amazing than 1 off missions, let us help you, give us some sort of reliable 2 way communication channel! The new drivers for the leap motion (orion SDK) work VERY well (night and day compared to there earlier drivers), and needs to be implemented, I would LOVE this!

You NEED to come up with a solution for VR users witht his at the same time, its MUCH MUCH worse than people that use monitors, I go around this with model enlargement set to medium but this was removed in 1.5.7........

@bignewy are you willing to look at a mission that is loaded with scripts? It has a socket tcp server in the mission and the GameGUI socket server (tested it without it being connected, same stutter), generates around 1100 units (using moose SPAWN function randomizing through templates to create a truly random encounter at each base/farp), with the AI turned off until a user enters a zone they are connected to (then they turn on), CTLD with every ground unit almost to spawn from. Takes a little bit to get it working because you need to edit your MissionScripting.lua filt to allow file access so it can get its state from the file (the bases people take are persistant between reboots), it will take a little bit of effort to make it run. Its great fun, best ground game - I gave an earlier version to Rik a while ago when we were having the crashing issue that lasted for a month (which is thankfully fixed). The socket server is to get my external engine dynamicdcs.com:8080 to work. It exports the entire amount of units 2x a sec and have a lua pcal input to run any lua command I want. External server is nodeJs and frontend it angular. works great, I know its not causing the issue because when I disconnect, the stutters are still there and ONLY on the helicopters, the planes are not noticeable even though I see the framerate surging still. The mission is quite the test for the game engine because it uses almost every asset in some way or form (except flying AI atm (with the exception of refueling tankers))

My large mission, Dynamic Caucasus, 1/2 the units have AI off (unless a player goes near them, 0 air AI units, 1100 something ground units, it stutters pretty bad, but the helicopters it stutters the worst, any helicopter, 90 fps, 1, 90 fps , 1 every second or so. I see it happening in the jets but its not really noticeable, my mission spawns almost every single ground unit in the game, in random positions, random groups around their respective bases (except the new wwii ones). Just want to let you know my findings since this map and its setup was perfect before this update

Most of my friends on my populatr multiplayer server still have the sound bug, when you die the all the sounds that were in the cockpit keep repeating themselves forever and ever, I have to COMPLETELY close out the game to get it to go away, it makes me not want to fly this really fun chopper.....

Do we have a more Up To Date API documentation to these new features for script writers? The one on ed's wiki is from 1.2.6 which is VERY old. http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Simulator_Scripting_Engine_Documentation For example, the email that went out today has some new features for the bomber formations, I need to know the data payload to program these on the fly from a script backend (most of these events do exist there atm). -Drex

defrag is a hard drive platter seek operation, there is no seeking on a SSD (read head reading parts of the circular platter) - its like changing your blinker fluid in your headlights

Its really really bright in the a10c also, so I don't buy that mirage 2000 finger pointing, I think everything plane is going to need some tweaking...

Its not steam that causes the problems your discussing but starforce DCS DRM. 1. verification issues -> starforce, I don't see other games in steam having issues 2. early release -> they don't post them in steam as modules If everything about DCS was only on steam these problems wouldn't exist. Steam helps the game get more players through its advertising platform, and they take a cut for that, thats fine and worth it. They need platforms like steam to market their game because on their own, the word isn't getting out (not from what I see). DCS needs all the help they can get, it drives me CRAZY that the BEST VR GAME EVER is not really know to the VR community (yet its getting traction through word of mouth..)

You guys are missing the point, IF you buy on steam you completely miss out on any early access plane or campaign, there is ZERO reason to choose steam at this point. I am just sorry for the newbies that buy modules on steam from now on, and find out they aren't compatible and they have to 2 run copy' of the installation. I would LOVE for them to only use steam and not there archiac DRM solution that is starforce, seriously! (just push all the earlier release stuff to steam)
