Happens every 6 hours on our server on the new patch version 1.5.7.10175.378, game is still running horribly compared to 1.5.6, Everytime anyones gets into a dogfight, people warp this way and that 10+ meters. 3.8 ghz i7, 32 gigs of ram and an internet connection of 940Mbits up and down. This doesn't really work anymore, you now need every plane IN every skin to stop this. This forces the user connecting to the server to take a long time to sync up with this loading, requiring them to load at least 2x it get on to your server (theres a timeout when people load onto a multiplayer server). I took ALL my preloaded elements out on the 1.5.7 patch We figured this out since it was causing massive load (as much as)4 sec of lag when people were just switching through skins on the tarmac Update: thanks sith for the updates, we really appreciate updates from you guys no matter how small (even a little, 'we have a ticket made for it, looking into it' ), I will test the beta tonight and get back to you.

Eagle Dynamics need to do a direct code comparison (diff) between 1.5.7 and 1.5.6 . In 1.5.6, My mission ran 1100 units on the map, 30-40 always moving/shooting and it ran incredibly smooth!!!!! (I do, code in some magic with zone detection and turning AI on and off depending on when the grd units need it to help the engine) Now in 1.5.7, The mission has a 3 sec freeze with the EXACT settings, To aleviate this and make my server playable, 2 units moving, removed ships and most radar, turned off clouds, weather and all wind, dropped my units down to 450..... when I jump into a helicopter I can STILL detect the bumping every 3 secs (runtime issue! physics loop or radar scan loop), but its less pronounced because I am BARELY using the game engines power. Theres also a NASTY memory leak in the game atm, I have caught my 1.5.7 server using upwards of 18-19 gigs of memory in a 8 hour timespan (I restart the mission every 8 hours). They definately have some nasty issues in the game engine they introduced in the 1.5.6 -> 1.5.7 upgrade.. (if you can call it that...) 1.5.7 also introduced NASTY lag stutters when anyone ever enters an aircraft (certain ones worse like mig-21 and viggen), and sometimes when they change skins(the changing skin models lag might be fixed) On the other hand, I love the ability to change skins in the aircraft now lol The quicker we get to 2.5 and drop the duel game versions the better, I call all of this 'growing pains' , but I would of rather stayed on the 1.5.6 performance and wait for the big update than to have the game behave like this.

You guys fixed the rope breaking problem, the ropes are great now, but attention now needs to be making the crates 5x stronger than they are. Right now, if you lower the metal container like crate (small one is the model I use) more than 2 of the mini bars on the vertical speed indicator in the Huey they crash and explode. Its VERY VERY hard to slingload at this point because of this, kind of ruined my ground CTLD game of my server atm (Real slingloading is much more fun than virtual, which I refused to use because it ruins the fun factor imo). All they need is a hitpoint buff or something (maybe physics is out of wack on the whole game atm - have other conclusions on this later, like removing wind on the server increased the FPS quit a bit helping the stutter bug that is existant atm). Let me know if you want me to try anything, I am constantly testing this game anyway, free dependable QA dept here :-P

This has been going on for a VERY long time, 10-11 months. When you die, the last sound the gazelle was playing (beeps, blade noises) constantly plays on and on and on in every aircraft you spawn in after that. I have to quit the entire game and come back in to get rid of it. I love this game and can fly it really well! Lots of my teammates ask me if its worth getting and I am hesitant because of this bug, its really a buzzkill. Not sure if this is a multiplayer issue or not but it REALLY needs to be fixed.

This is THE best game for VR though, its crazy fun in it, completely worth the expense for the top end machine to run it (along with the extra time tweaking it), everyone that plays in VR along with me on my server feels the same as I do, once you play DCS in VR its hard to play it outside of VR, it makes that much difference

I REALLY REALLY hope this is true!, I have had to go above and beyond with spawning/despawning ground units manually through lua scripts and polygon zone detects to run my big mission (through distance, use to run 1100 units across the map, im down to 450 due to performance), will test later (also have to see if they fixed the crashed slingload crate = crashed server issue with this update also), thanks for the update! -
Great job on fixing the rope so it doesn't break easy, onto the next issue lol The crates now get damaged too easy You have to lower them VERY VERY slow to not damage a crate. If you ever seen a sling loading helicopter in real life, the crates are a lot more hefty than what is shown (the steel sm and large cargo containers) (ya I know this is extreme lol)

The less units I put on the map the less pronounced it is, the more units , the more pronounced (the stutter gets a lot more accentuated), running the server locally, the stutter is also pronounced less, than connecting to a remote server. Its almost like the run-time for updating the units through the netcode is getting hung up on something every 3 secs, I had to bring the units on my server down to 400 from 1100, I had 1100 units running buttery smooth on 1.5.6 I spent a good 3 hours trying different configurations, no sams, with sams, no boats, with boats, etc etc, it really didn't change anything between the changes, it was specifically based on unit count. An empty map seem to run smooth.

This method (which I used up until today) on 2.1.1 is now officially broken with update 2.1.1.8491. The login screen doesn't have an autologin checkbox for 1 thing, but even after I click 'login' manually, it just sits at the main screen.... So 4 weeks and no patch huh guys, My squad has been playing on 1.5.6 for 4 weeks now, yes its that bad, thanks for splitting up the multiplayer community even more than it has, all my development on the big project I have been working on had stopped, I cant be bothered but putting in HUGE amounts of work into a project you guys don't support (and yes I was working on something really big, and for free I might add, 4 months of work into it already). Either that, or I will go back to empty(of units) boring air-quake type maps, is that what you want? (I don't know where else to post this......., its HIGHLY reliant on units and the stuttering is a big issue)

The other kicker is each server uses around 16 gigs of ram....... I built a mega virtual machine to host many maps and can only host 2 at once ( and on TOP of this, you can only host 1 paid map due to DRM detecting said Virtual Machine, for many Free maps, 1 paid map on a machine at a time.) -
There is seriously something wrong with 1.5.7 and multiplayer servers with units, my group and my server will stay on 1.5.6 until this is fixed (no it is not better, maybe it is if you fly an empty mission, but who wants to play on that, 1.5.6 runs extremely smooth and fast compared to 1.5.7) REALLY hoping for a patch tomorrow to fix 1.5.7
