  1. Yes. Flat shadows use a different technique than "Default" so the settings are separate from each other I dont really have this problem myself, only when looking at the sun directly does everything look completely white. Maybe share your settings, see if something is different from mine?
  2. Guys I should be getting my Ti tomorrow, if I have any problems I'll report directly to ED so we can get this fixed, If I dont have any problems I'll let you know.
  3. Probably not, a lot of the devices are not 6dof, they are 3dof, and the head tracking is done with internal sensors not external which is not as precise and can cause motion sickness easier.
  4. Its completely different like @33-DFTC said. I have programmed for this, its not very powerful, no where near what a PC can push out graphics-wise. Everything has to be created with low polygon counts, and even then there are huge limitations, you cannot render black (black = transparent), the view itself doesnt fully occlude the world, you can always see the world and the field of view is maybe 45 degrees. It's a great piece of tech, and I love it, but AR is not the same as VR and will forever by different.
  5. I did at first, but it has grown on me, also its only initially bright, after hitting play, about 10 seconds goes by and it gets more normal.
  6. I did that in the video i made, the overhead view of all the ships
  7. Ive seen this in planes flying really low, I believe it has something to do with deferred rendering or the ocean mesh being rendering in projected screen space.
  8. Weird, i have a 1080 (not Ti) and i can set most things to high, trees about just under half way, grass about a quarter. Shadows Medium, textures high, deferred on, ground shadows off, and get 45+ fps almost all the time.
  9. Interesting on the performance results, I seem to be having on par with 2.0 performance and better than 1.5.... also I play in VR. Wondering why others don't have such good results. Perhaps its my rig? I'll admit it is a rig built for VR, but I am curious what the bottleneck is for others. Anyone got any stats they can share?
  10. CPU: Intel i7-6700K @ 4.5Ghz Memory: 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z170 S GPU: Gigabit 1080 GTX HMD: Oculus CV1 HDD: OCZ TRION 480GB HOTAS: Thrustmaster Warthog (12cm extension) RUDDER PEDALS: MFG Crosswinds
  11. Oh ya, VR is absolutely beautiful, framerates are better, spotting targets seems to be easier. Overall VR is amazing.
  12. Ive been very impressed. I have had an issue where it crashes when exiting a mission, but only in VR and im suspecting something driver-wise because the crashing dll is an nvidia one. Outside of that, I've had maybe 2 bugs occur in 4 days of use, both resolved by restarting. I've also reported all my problems that I've had so most likely they will be fixed soon.
  13. It is 2.1 and does not have NTTR, its strictly Normandy with WW2 planes. That said, Ibelieve the intent is to merge 2.1 to 2.0 on release, so Normandy and NTTR will be on the 2.0(2.1) alpha branch. Again, this is my understanding
  14. Did not try the spit, will try tonight, but you need to use the mission editor, im guessing instant action missions just aren't done yet.
  15. I was having issues trying to get that to happen last night, however, I have no idea what im doing in the mission editor so, most likely all my fault.
  16. There was a kickstarter campaign to create this map and some of the ww2 modules. The people that contributed to that are known as "backers" and those backers that contributed $140+ get early access to the map before its publicly released.
  17. Thanks, was a blast.
  18. Looks fantastic and great performance!
  19. Fixed, https://github.com/jeffboulanger/twitch2dcs/releases/tag/v1.0.1-beta
  20. Considering that 1.5 isn't really going to get fixed graphics-wise till 2.5 merge happens, it is an unfair benchmark, your better bet is to use 2.0 if you have it.
