  1. Flew a large mission tonight with my group and the entire mission everyone had rubber banding. Nobody could tank. Please ED, just roll the netcode back. No need to fix something that isn't broken (the previous netcode). Link is here to my google drive with the track; Track is too big to attach. https://drive.google.com/file/d/11T8gA4rRrUb9OpHyhYlvKpMVUY65P32j/view?usp=sharing
  2. Nope. I downloaded the entire paint kit fresh from this forum. The entire rest of the kit works fine, but this is what I have when I open 04.
  3. Hmm. I'll give it another go. I did try just downloading the 04 itself, but it didn't help. I'll try again.
  4. Downloaded it last night. HB_F14_EXT_04 seems to have been flattened down so that the details and everything are gone - it's liveries ONLY. It didn't used to be like that.
  5. Is something wrong with the template file? HB_F14_EXT_04 is only showing livery layers, none of the other layers...
  6. I'd like to request a feature be added into the mission editor that adds a box. When checked, the aggressor aircraft would show nails representing what it is supposed to be. Ex: F16. When checked in Mission Editor, that F16 will show up as 29 on blue RWR.
  7. Around 3:06. It was actually another 16, and his radar got me around the same time. Tacview-20230521-004400-DCS-CaucasusTraining V24-1.4.zip.acmi
  8. Decided to practice some BVR tonight. VS a hornet, head on at 25k... My radar wouldn't pick him up until around 25 miles. WTF. And yes, radar was looking at the correct elevation, etc. I had him on datalink, so I knew where he was and where to center the radar. 25 miles? Sigh.
  9. Are the HARM systems in the Hornet simplified? Compared to the Viper and the HTS (which is specialized) the Hornet is much quicker as far as acquiring emitters. It also doesn't require codes to search with different lists of possible emitters. I have a friend who insists that the 18 is very simplified as far as these systems. Is this true or do the Hornet's HARM modes just have more power over the Viper's? The HTS still has utility as far as getting precise coordinates for emitters, but does the Hornet outpower the HTS in many other ways IRL, or is it simplified in DCS, and if it is, why?
  10. Title pretty much says it. In VR I'm getting terrible frame rate. All other aircraft I get over 50 fps in VR. In the F1 it's constant stuttering. 2D runs fine. Happens all the time, for me it's just hit fly to replicate it.
  11. Anyone know how to remove notifications? I play on MP servers all the time, and it's hard to get good footage with that dang envelope icon popping up every time someone gets a new jet. Surely there's a way to turn it off?
  12. Anyone know how to (or can point me to somewhere that shows how) mod RWR symbology? I'm in a group that's wanting to use the JF-17 as aggressors, and have them show up as 29s on NATO RWRs.
  13. Title says it all. The SA2 in game will launch before you enter the engagement bubble displayed on the 18's SA page... and has no trouble hitting outside the bubble either. Either the range is wrong or the bubble is wrong. Tacview shows it able to hit outside the bubble as well fairly easily.
  14. Gotcha. Well, if anyone has documents that state the Hornet should perform as it does, I would really like to see them. Just send me a PM please!
  15. That wasn't a real world document. I guess, since you consider it real, that it is accurate, and that the FM is, indeed, wrong. Anyway, I guess if you want my source, PM me. And if you have charts I should see, send them to me.
  16. Before I say anything, I'm a Hornet pilot mainly. Did some testing tonight, at 10,000 ASL, x2 AIM 9s and x2 AIM 7s, 60% internal fuel. It sustained 14.7 degrees per second at around mach 0.8, and around 7G. According to all charts I can find (which, granted, aren't the real charts, but one I used is supposedly BASED on the real charts) it should do just over 13 degrees per second. ED, you don't have to artificially inflate the performance of the jet to sell it. Please, please give us the correct performance. Going by the Viper's real charts it shouldn't be out rated by a Hornet in this scenario.
  17. Title pretty much says it. It’s been like two weeks now, and it’s still a roll of the dice as to if I will have a hard freeze or not when I hit fly. It’s getting old, and I’m in a large group so rolling back isn’t an option. Should we expect a long broken jet or is this getting fixed soon?
  18. Thanks, I'll try it. Diving from 25k to sea level seems to trash it, but I'll try the auto adjustment.
  19. Every time I've gotten into a good dive I end up overspeeding the engine. I pull the RPM level back but in the dive it seems like it still just forces the prop over the redline. What am I doing wrong? (prop settings are on auto).
  20. Where does the 47 perform better than the K4 and D9? I’m having trouble finding information on those two German planes as far as turn performance and altitude performance. From what I could find, it sounds like the D9 can maintain power up at high altitudes (can it do so as well as the 47 can?) and I have no idea about the K4’s altitude performance. Anyone have any idea?
  21. What prop did they give us? Paddle-blade or thin?
  22. D40, auto rudder off, warthog hotas. I’m not hamfisting it. I can settle the pipper on a target that’s flying straight, let go of the stick, and the plane wobbles around to the point that I can’t get a tracking shot.
  23. Why does the nose wobble so badly in this thing? I understand at high AOA it is supposed to, but I can't shoot down a plane flying straight because the nose just wobbles back and forth CONSTANTLY. I'm not going too slow. 200 knots. I've tried it all all speeds. It's trimmed out. None of the other WW2 birds do this. I've never seen it do it in gun cam footage in real jugs. What's going on with it?
