@IronMikeEdit 2: We've tested it quite a bit. We all removed ALL mods, repaired DCS, let it rebuild the Saved Games folder, rebuilt shaders... still happens. I will note that in 2D it is HARD to make it happen, but it did happen once for us (out of around 100 tries). In VR it happens MUCH more, around 50% of the time. All of us tomcat pilots in the wing. Different headsets, different computers, it's consistently happening around half the time. It seems to happen most often when we are in the jet, go back to spectators, hop back in the same jet, and try to spawn. That'll often cause the freeze. The game stops where it is and a steam VR window will appear saying it's waiting on DCS. It just sits there until you force the game to shut down. Generally the first spawn in will be fine, it's the spawns after (although it does happen sometimes on the first try). Hope you guys figure out what the deal is... Tomcat is broken enough that we can't use it in our wing stuff (and we're VERY active... doing stuff every night). Happens on both air starts and ground starts, both the A and B model. Tried on multiple servers. -

Tonight a bunch of guys from the wing (vCSG-3) had our Friday Night Fight... All the Tomcats (A and B) would freeze on spawn around ~50% of the time, requiring a hard restart to fix. I flew maybe 8 times, had the freeze 3 times. Others had more freezes with similar amounts of flights. Seems intermittent. This is on Caucuses, just an empty map with maybe 20 jets total spawnable, no more than 2 in the air at a time. RIOs would randomly freeze as well when the jet spawned. Edit: We have NO mods that affect the Tomcat. -
AWACS is giving me clean calls when I request picture. It's not clean. I know it can see enemy groups because I'm getting them all via data link from AWACS. Why is it calling clean picture?

Against any 4th gen fighter, it’s an angles fighter. It’s got a relatively poor T/W ratio. I generally try to take it 1C at the merge to take advantage of the Cat’s great turn radius. It struggles in a rate fight against 4th gen fighters.

My issue is... why am I getting that launch warning for the first 10-15 seconds? Shouldn’t there be... nothing?

What it’s doing now is giving a launch warning when it launches for about 10-15 seconds, then the tone goes to a normal lock tone. Sometimes the lock tone goes away as well (and the missile still tracks). And it’s not in a blind spot. Either directly ahead or on the 3/9.

What should the 14 be seeing from a R33 launch by a Mig 31? I'm getting a missile launch warning when it fires, and if I break the lock, the missile will still track.

I haven't followed the Mustang until recently, but is there any news on if it's getting an option for 150 octane fuel? Is it being worked on? Or have the devs said no? Just curious, haven't been able to find any info one way or the other. Seems like we should have the option for it though...

This happened in PG on a quickly thrown together mission with two F18s head on about 80nm out. Was trying to demonstrate how cranking helps vs other aircraft. My opponent who was helping to demonstrate (we were trying to create a tacview file) would launch his AIM 7M and it would loft. I asked him to use NORM mode, and he verified he did. He sent me screenshots of his 7M page, and indeed it said NORM. From his point of view, it did launch in NORM mode. He sent screenshots of the launches, and indeed it did fly straight to me. On my view it lofted, and in the tacview it lofted. Some kind of desync issue? Add .acmi to the end of the zip file to make it useable in tacview. Tacview-20190911-004842-DCS-Example1.zip

It is useable but has a ton of bugs. ED introduces new bugs all the time and doesn't fix them. At least not yet. I've found in multiplayer theyve recently broken the AIM7s. Sigh.

On my test flight tonight, I couldn't get the trim to work. The needle would move, but the trim didn't actually do anything. Had to fight the plane from going nose down the entire flight. Am I doing something wrong? Other than that, great plane! -
Just played Bear Trap mission 2, the SEAD F16s were downed by sams and didn't fire. Amazing work with 2.5 though! Keep it up!

I'm trying to make a mission that involves transporting troops. They start next to a huey. I want them to sit still until told to load up, then be transported, and then go to a new waypoint. I set a hold order on the starting waypoint, with a flag set up to off. I have a move order to go to the next waypoint when the flag switches to true. The troops always will load up, and when flown to the new area, when they get out they run back to the starting point instead of going to the next waypoint. I know the flag is switching because I set a text message to display just to be sure. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, I figured that out. I set one unarmed Humvee for each side right outside the base and gave each a waypoint in and out. Set up triggers so a radio call will make them switch places; nellis changes between sides in around 5 seconds at a radio callz

Hi everyone, i'm new to mission building... I am trying to make a mission where the red and the blue start out at nellis together for multiplayer. Is there a script somewhere that will make a neutral or blue air base rearm both sides? I've loaded up the F5 BFM missions, and they have nellis as neutral, but you are red and can reload. Anyone able to help me or point me in the right direction? I appreciate it!

In 2.0, the map symbols seem to slide around as I zoom in and out. Anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it? I can't play 2.0 online, as I am not able to see where anything is as far as objectives, bases, whatnot. I've tried to reinstall and repair and no changes. Can someone help?

Where is it? I can't find any tutorials for the F5 in game. If I go to the mission editor I can find a few missions where the plane is off for cold startup, or behind the f14 for weapons training, but I only learned how to do that from the F5 guide on here. There are tutorials in game somewhere?
