Ok, so I know it’s pilot error, I get it I just bought the p51, to be the first DCS plane outside if FC3. Love it! I’m getting the ground attack, flight, landing and TO, pretty well. However, anytime I try to fight the 190 in in the instant action section the plane goes crazy. Even smooth maneuvers make the nose jump up or go upside down and into a spiral. I can’t keep the 190 in my line of sight much less on his tail. So, any advice on what in doing wrong here ???? Thanks to all who respond....

Hello All, I’ve been playing DCS for years but it’s always been with an oculus rift VR set. I’ve always had a very difficult time spotting other planes and missiles are nearly impossible. I’ve been tempted to turn on the labels but I don’t know if this is cheating or not. I really wanna play the game the way it’s designed, I just don’t know if it can be done with a current VR set. I’d like to ask those that have played with a VR set and a regular monitor, is there a significant difference ? Would this be enough to turn on the labels or maybe just the red dots ???

Anybody know what is the best speed for a turning fight in a F15 ? In other words, what is the optimum Speed for a tight turn ?

Does anyone have plans to buy an oculus rift s ? If so can you please post you opinion on wether it helps with the clarity and being able to read the small number on the controls as well as how much it helps with the screen door effect? Thanks

I recently had a ton of key binding issues, so I had to clear and reassign a bunch. Apparently this included the mouse. I have searched for hours on how to get the mouse to move and zoom (wheel) on external view but I can’t seem to find it. I use oculus rift, any help is appreciated. Thanks

Just updated DCS, then this happens I only fly the f15, but I cant turn radar on, cockpit light, or lock up targets. Other functions such as collision lights, flaps, etc work fine. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated it...

Just tried this campaign. WOW, what a difference a realistic well thought out mission makes. Very impressive. Not being computer literate, I downloaded all the files on page one of this thread. I only have mission 9-11 or 12, how/where can I get the earlier ones ?

I’ve been flying the f15 and the a10a, which for an old guy had a hell of a learning curve. I’ve gotten to the point that I can fly them with confidence, and can pass the training missions, although the quick easy missions still kick my butt. I’ve also learn to love this sim for its realism and complexity, despite the fact that it’s a time eating black hole !! Yesterday I tried the free mustang, which was the first time with a clickable cockpit. WOW, very, very impressive. If I decide to try Learn a new plane instead of mastering the 15 and a 10a, is the mustang a good one to start with? A relatively easy learning curve ? Thanks to all who offer an opinion...

I have a gaming keyboarded w no numbers pad, I tried Rshift Rcontrol and just about all keys and nothing works. What other keys can be used to re-size the HUD. ???

Which buttons are those !?! Can’t find them anywhere .... aaaaarrrrgggggg

After the last download, it seeems that I can’t get all the info on the HUD. I can either see the navigation degrees or the top cross but not both. On a gun run I’m actually ducking down to be able to see the sight. Btw I use VR, oculus rift. Anybody else notice this ?

I just started using the multi player function of DCS. There has to be radio comm between the pilots, is everyone using teamspeak or is there an internal DCS radio that I am yet to find ? I love this sim ,but I am not a computer guy, so I apologize if this is a dumb question...

Has anybody found a solution for this , When using VR and the mouse control, I can’t push the join or exit button on multi player. I used to be able to, but now the mouse transfers from the DCS screen to the windows task bar right before I can click it. Any help would be appreciated...

I am trying to master the a-10a (pls don’t laugh) and really enjoy the instant action mission “close air support”. In the mission the Mavericks are a sure fire weapon, but with the new update, they are absolutely worthless. The problem is that in VR (not sure on monitors) you can’t see or distinguished the tanks from the background. PLEASE fix this...

I just DL the latest update and much to my dismay I can’t seem to blow upthe planes at Macaren airport, what gives ? They used to collapse and burn awesome !

The miz wasn’t saved, it’s the one that comes with the Caucasus map, is there no way to fix this ?

Whenever I check the map (f10), the map is fully zoomed in. So 8 have to zoom out prior to seeing what I need, is there a way to set the zoomed in level ? Also, on the close air support mission, the very first one, can you rearm and refuel ? I can’t seem to be able. Thanks to all who reply.

Problem, every time I start dcs 2.5, it loads to exactly 55% and then stops. The mouse still tracks but the program doesn’t keep loading. Ive tried rebooting the computer and have even deleted DCS twice and reinstalled it ,but the same exact problem persist. 55%. Load and then it just stops.... Please help I’m about to delete and forget the whole thing....

Neither seems to work. Those files aren’t there. I can’t even open the program to get to the menu

Every time I try to open DCS world open beta, it loads to 55% and then freezes up. I tried to,download it again, but it tells me to run “repair”or “fix” from the menu, of course no indication of which menu or how to access it. Just when I was starting to really enjoy the game, it’s starting to prove unstable....

I just downloaded 2.5, nice to have both maps together ! However after going to mission editor and setting up some targets, I was unable to save the mission. Any advice ?

Trying out the A10a, got all the weapons, nav, etc, down pretty good but not the tactics. After killing the air defense w mavs, every time I dive down for a bomb run the bmp or tanks always get me. What gives ????
