DCS Weather - Real time weather in your DCS World
paulu013 replied to chromium's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
In the meantime you could use Johnny_Rico's python script to inject realtime weather: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=198402 -
Was that the second batch already? So I’ll just have to make up my mind before the third batch reservation ends then :)
-
Ah I didn’t know the dimensions where that different. I still haven’t decided what route I am going te take (force sensing or regular thumbstick). Will you be taking orders for a second batch soon?
-
Looks great, is there any specific reason you went for the Dual Shock 4 version of the thumbstick controller with pots instead of the Dual Shock 3 version with Hall Sensors? The availability of both version shouldn’t be an issue as plenty of sellers have them on their ebay / aliexpress stores.

Debolestis Shapeways shop

Any chance you could design a mount for this switch that will fit as a replacement for the slew control in the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog? -

PIN 1: POLE (not needed) PIN 2: POLE PIN 3: VCC PIN 4: GND Pins 2-4 are the ones you need. -
Preferably the PS3 thumbstick with Hall sensor (ALPS brand with Sentron 2SA-10 2-axis hall sensor). Debolestis already made a mount for this thumbstick for a Suncom SFS so he could problably adjust this mount for it to fit properly in the Warthog (https://www.shapeways.com/product/62H9B2TMV/thumb-stick-mount-for-suncom-sfs?optionId=60407819 and knob: https://www.shapeways.com/product/8JLEGTYWZ/f16-cursor-knob-spider-web?optionId=59090191&li=shop-inventory). Also Oakes posted a guide to replace the slew with a PS Thumbstick ( 3-pin pot version ) here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185698.

I have the same issue, after the update commands show in Voiceattack but are not executed in DCS (Voiceattack was run as Administrator). Will try to reactivate and see if that solves the problem.

[MOOSE] RAT - Random Air Traffic
paulu013 replied to funkyfranky's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
I thought this happened to me as well but in my case I shot a RAT aircraft at exactly the same time that it entered its destination zone and that was the reason it despawned. To make sure this was the case I spawned multiple other RAT aircraft away from their destination and successfully shot them into pieces. Are you sure you’re not having the same issue as I did? -
According to Nicholas the HUD/NAV bug is fixed and should be available in the next patch!

VAICOM 2.0 for VoiceAttack
paulu013 replied to Hollywood_315's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I solved this problem by creating a Autohotkey longpress script for the Warthog Hotag Mic Switch button. So when pressed for longer than 0.5 seconds it triggers the VAICOM 2 AUTO/UHF/VHF1/VHF2 commands ( mapped them to the virtual F-keys F13-F16 ). When pressed for a shorter time the mic switch buttons execute the commands setup in the DCS controller profile ( I use the Solaris & Schnix layout with some tweaks ). This way there's no need to re-assign the Pinky switch and I can still use all the commands that were assigned to the mic switch by the Polaris & Schnix profile for all modules. If you want I can write a little Howto if you want to set it up like this too.
